Share what you noticed: opening, drydown, sillage and the moments when it works for you.
At first, it reminds me of Gold, but then it evolves: while Gold is dominated by amber and vanilla, here rose and musk take the lead. The interesting thing is that you can detect the oud much more strongly than in the original, even though it’s not listed in the ingredients. The trail and longevity are excellent; both last through a shower, which is impressive. It can be compared to Montale, but it’s not as aggressive. On Fragrantica, someone compared it to Black Aoud, but for me, it’s not the same rose—it lacks the quality to match it. That said, it’s not bad at all; sometimes you get exactly what you pay for. Between Gold and Platinum, I’d choose this one: Gold is sweeter, while this is more woody and refined. Rating: 8.5/10
