I’m a bit confused: if the original ’24 Gold’ features oud upfront, this ‘Oud Edition’ seems to push it to the background…?! I can’t deny that the blend of cinnamon, citrus, and pepper (I’ve never distinguished the types) has great appeal, but the oud barely shows up. I much prefer the original 24 Gold.
The oud note is quite convincing, with a sweet and orangey opening accompanied by lots of musk. I smell vanilla and amber just like in the original, but here the oud almost covers up the sandalwood. The sweetness is stronger and, for me, more pleasant. It reminds me of the style of Paco Rabanne’s 1 Million, perfect for grabbing attention, going out partying, and flirting. With its great trail and longevity, it won’t disappoint in those areas. I like it more than the original 24 Gold. Just be careful, both can be a bit overwhelming if overused; I’d recommend wearing them in moderation.

The cinnamon, birch, and nutmeg are perfect. It lasts over 10 hours, and the best part is that woody, spiced vanilla. My husband says it smells less sweet to him, more wood and spices, and it projects better on him—I love it.
