Have you worn Allure Sensuelle?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

Allure Sensuelle: its name says it all. It’s not a promise, it’s a certainty. On my skin, it becomes living wood, with a chypre touch where the precise, non-strident patchouli integrates all notes with mastery toward the terrain of silent elegance. Many keep it for special occasions. I don’t. Because when one understands that life is a sigh, they discover that the best time to use a fragrance is now.

Allure Sensuelle delivers on its promise: it’s not just a promise, it’s reality. On my skin, it transforms into living wood, with a chypre touch where the patchouli—precise and understated—integrates masterfully into a silent elegance. Many keep it for parties; I don’t. Because once you realize life is a sigh, you discover the best time to wear a fragrance is now.

Review based on the previous formula. I’ve been testing Allure Sensuelle for a while and loved it a ton, but I never ended up buying it (it’s pricey, like any Chanel, but quality has a cost), so it’s still on my wishlist, mocking me. I don’t know when I’ll finally get it. Anyway, I tend toward a minimalist collection because this perfume passion is expensive. In my opinion, it’s like the rocker brother of the classic Allure (which I like less, and that’s thanks to the existence of AS). AS is a complex formula: it opens with citrus and a loud, rebellious, non-sweet patchouli that calms down a bit with the roses, turning into a sweet-floral-woody scent, velvetized by sandalwood and lightly powdery with iris, with a touch of honey, lots of spices, something green, and a lovely vanilla. Words aren’t enough to describe this olfactory sensation. I love the Chanel DNA in general. AS is a perfume that dresses you in femininity, elegance, mystery, sophistication, and sensuality, just as its name says, but a sober sensuality that subtly draws an androgynous line, highlighting that wild side. It’s very well balanced, addictive, and long-lasting. It’s a gem of perfumery. It has great performance. As I always say, test before you buy.

  4. I’ll just say this perfume fills the room. I had the chance to try it a while ago and it smells like ripe fruit. It’s a feminine scent, somewhat youthful, but I notice it’s more for a mature woman (like the fruits it smells like 😂😂). It would be good to test it before buying, but I recommend it 100% 🕉️🕉️🕉️

  5. I like it, although my nose stops picking it up quickly. I know it’s on the clothes because when I take them off I can still smell it, but it fades away… and that doesn’t please me much. It’s a very fine vanilla with a bit of spices, sandalwood, and amber. That creates an elegant, classy, and warm aroma. Then there’s a slightly “rough” or green note. I don’t know if it’s the patchouli or the vetiver. The point is, it adds more class… but, to repeat, it fades on me. To finish, I think cool in-between days (not rainy) are its thing.

  6. What a work of art this perfume is, the only one I repurchase when it runs out. When I went to buy it, I compared its brother Allure EDP with this. It was a difficult decision, although they are very similar, and I consider a mix of both would be spectacular. Curiously, I consider Allure EDP more sensual than this Sensuelle, but this one is deeper, more feminine, and mysterious, which is why I chose it. The opening reminds you of another Chanel, but within minutes it turns into a magnetic vanilla, nothing synthetic like those of today, a juicy and sweet special mandarin accompanied by a fixing wood that is very warm.

Signature perfume; its notes conquered me from the first sniff. I’m a collector and it’s one of the few that has driven me crazy, totally sensual and to my taste for nightwear; I prefer to use it in autumn-winter, although I could wear it all year with less dosage. It’s a perfume that dresses you, makes you noticed, and causes an impression wherever you go. I’m happy to have it in my collection; I recommend it with my eyes closed. Whoever wears it is the box of Pandora that many want to open.

I didn’t expect it; the Chanel Allure range never caught my attention. A perfume-loving friend gifted me samples, including this one, and it’s sexy without trying to be, with very good longevity and a fragrance for special occasions.

  9. Out of all the Chancels I’ve tried, this is the most me (33F). Still, in the opening, you notice the typical house DNA, very “clean but dense,” which doesn’t fully convince me because I don’t feel it fits well, but after the opening I like that it’s warm, softly spiced, and sensual. Normally, with spices, I feel them “dirty” to wear right after a shower, and this has the just-right mysterious touch I like, a dark touch but not reaching black (I usually like “purple” and “red” perfumes and avoid “pink” and “green” ones). It has several drying phases; the only one I don’t like is one where I smell like Chanel No. 5 but with many non-sweet spices (I like cinnamon and saffron, but not cardamom or pepper), and it’s not that I dislike it, but it becomes more “complicated” to wear compared to the sweeter phases. Right now, after more than 5 hours of use in the store, it smells like a very pleasant but very soft sandalwood and iris, almost skin-scented (and I usually don’t like iris as a protagonist, but here I like it quite a bit). It’s not what I would buy right now, but it seems like an interesting option for formal and semi-formal situations to wear a “mysterious” perfume.

I got married wearing this gem, in December by the beach, neither cold nor hot, 25°C. It’s beautiful, lasted the whole evening, and from then on, entering the colder season, I loved it even more. Definitely for autumn-winter. A week ago I used it with 35°C heat and pfff, I couldn’t handle it, very penetrating, yet it’s still the best Chanel perfume; everyone compliments me when I wear it, even that day I couldn’t handle it. It will be my signature; I will definitely repurchase it.

  11. I’m trying this wonder again and liking it more each time. I love that Chanel touch that draws me in, that specific blend of notes and structure that makes them so unique. I’m convinced that the fact that perfumers are almost always from the same family, the Polge family, gives them that unique signature. After trying Coco, Mademoiselle, Allure, and Chance, I’m almost certain that patchouli is what makes Chanel unique. It’s usually in the background, subtle and serious, but present from start to finish. I just realized this with Allure Sensuelle, which also has patchouli in the opening. Is that why it’s “sensuelle”? Signed: the patchouli of Chanel.

Chanel is my favorite house; I haven’t tried anything of theirs that disappointed me, maybe Gabrielle because it doesn’t last long, but its scent is delicious. This fragrance is one of my favorites to feel strong, empowered, and like a winner; I wear it when I need to make an impression in a work meeting. It lasts about 8 to 12 hours on skin and on clothes, no need to say more, the trail never fails. It has a spicy and super-spiced opening that leaves me intrigued, and after an hour, the floral side of the rose emerges without losing its vanilla and woody touch, which imposes sensuality, elegance, and strength. It’s one of my all-time favorites, although in my city with so much heat I don’t wear it daily, but when the occasion allows, I don’t miss enjoying it. Rating: Longevity 10/10, Sillage 10/10, Scent 10/10, Price 8/10 (it’s a bit pricey).

The opening still doesn’t convince me; I feel it’s very sharp (though I imagine it’s my skin), but the dry-down is beautiful: elegant, feminine, modern, and yet classic. I feel sexy, but sexy like a corporate executive in a Chanel suit and stiletto heels. It lasts about 6 or 7 hours on my skin, which is what I smell, but others smell it longer. I give it a 9 for the opening.

I bought it very recently blind, it’s definitely a Chanel, it would be a pretty scent, and based on the notes I expected it to be warmer and woodier, however on my skin it’s greener than I expected. The citrus notes rise to become almost effervescent with pink pepper and a very light patchouli… Over time, the citrus notes give way but don’t disappear, and I appreciate some faint soapy roses with a vanilla touch… It’s a beautiful scent, but I don’t feel the powder, nor the wood, nor the earth, nor the warmth… In the end, it leaves me with pink pepper and vanilla right up close to the skin, that’s what I feel.

Lately, I’m appreciating Chanel creations more; this one is years old but I never really paid much attention to it. Today I tried it and I love it, I’m very bad at defining scents, I detect a citrus that must be bergamot and mandarin, powdery, which I understand comes from the Iris, and a background of vanilla so balanced, so fine, so elegant, and so delicious. It reminds me of Shalimar Souffle, the only Shalimar I can stand, I think it goes perfectly in summer and for any occasion. I just hope it has good longevity, I haven’t checked yet, but it surely will, my next purchase ☺

Its scent is infinite… Well, I’m exaggerating a little, or maybe not. It smells very good, it’s a floral scent a little bit classic, in my perception, I don’t think it’s like the original Allure, you can feel patchouli, light jasmine, roses, sweet vanilla with a slight powderiness and woody touches that make it elegant, which is why I say it gives me the impression of a classic perfume, which with a minimum amount of spray avoids being too heavy and stays fresh so it doesn’t hit anyone. Summary: it should be applied with caution, as it depends on the activity you’re going to do, I think due to the amount of spray it can be chameleon-like, it adapts to the place. It smells delicious, but I didn’t feel it was for me. I had it on my arm and it had a somewhat oily consistency, therefore its longevity is great. Explanation: I got home and my mom, like a little bee behind me, what was she wearing and showed it to me, and said it smelled good. I showered and put a lot of soap on my arm unconsciously, as is normal, I changed clothes and the scent was still there 😳😳😳, and my mom said it smelled good. I know what her gift will be, because it will go to her, and she liked it much more than me, she’s almost 60 years old.

One of the most beautiful scents. It might make you think on first sniff that it’s already smelled in another Chanel fragrance, but then it develops in a completely different way, although it has the DNA of a Chanel… It’s undeniable. For me, it’s like mixing Allure EDT and Coco EDT and fusing them. On my skin, it becomes a bit dirty, as if it had some animalic note like civet. A spiced vanilla with the dense patchouli of this house (signature note of this house) has a great iris that makes it a little powdery and its sandalwood is very much in the style of Samsara. I love that it’s not overused. They’ve confused it with Coco Mademoiselle… Good sillage for the first two hours and then it’s felt for another 6 hours. Elegant to the max. Love and period.

It has a slightly woody and lightly spiced opening that initially makes the patchouli jump out with the mandarin and vetiver, that’s how I’ve always felt it, because in the end it settles on a powerful sandalwood and majestic vanilla. One of the best things the Chanel house has done. It has all the touch of exquisiteness that a perfume like this deserves. And I love it deeply, because it lasts forever on skin and clothes leaving a divine dry-down and a very, very wide trail. It’s toxically delicious.

I bought this perfume without trying it on, since I love Chanel Allure and the truth is this version didn’t make me fall in love… The oriental woody and spiced side seems quite strong and sweet to me and its trail lasts a long time, I feel it suits my skin but it’s not one of my favorites, when I apply it people ask me what perfume is it? It smells delicious!! But the truth is when it runs out I won’t buy it again….

I LOVE IT, I’M NOT A FAN OF CHANEL PERFUMES IN GENERAL, I THINK THEY SHOULD STUDY AND MODERNIZE THEIR PERFUMES BUT THIS ONE AND ITS SISTER ALLURE WORK GREAT FOR ME. SOFT WITHOUT BEING OVERPOWERING AND THEY INTEGRATE PERFECTLY. I’M ASTONISHED. I THINK I’LL GET THE SENSUELLE, IT SEEMS MORE SPECIAL. DEDICATED TO REBEQUITA WHO UNDERSTANDS MY PH RARITIES WITH THE CITRUS.

This fragrance is brutal. I don’t get why they call it ‘Sensuelle’ because it’s not; it’s more like its sister, Allure EDP. But it’s an attractive, rich perfume with top-quality notes from start to finish. The patchouli stands out—it reminds me of Coco Mademoiselle, but here it’s sweet, creamy floral with a spicy, oriental aura. It suits women with initiative and a defined personality, and it’s wearable all year. It’s pricey, I’ll admit, but the performance is superior to what’s on the market right now. A couple of sprays last the whole day. In short, it’s a nod to the independent, charismatic woman with contemporary femininity. High-quality ingredients from the genius Jacques Polge. Totally worth trying if you want to leave an elegant, nuanced trail. Highly recommended.

Allure Sensuelle is the perfume for a woman who seduces without being vulgar; someone who has evolved and lives her days with passion and peace. She’s authentic, free, and mature, with no time for bitterness but plenty for nurturing her surroundings. It has the strength and dynamism to walk through life without yielding to trivialities. It’s not just a scent; it’s a complete experience. Olfactorily, it’s a perfect puzzle where everything blends into something new: crisp autumn air with wet woods, body-rich citrus, and a velvety texture. It’s an experience you have to try. For me, it’s perfect for autumn and winter, ideal for cold weather, day or night.

  26. Yadorán d'Vinea

Well, although the name and that mysterious vibe already screamed its purpose from the lab, the real conquest was something that activated within the wearer. Chanel didn’t want us to be scandal beacons; instead, the fragrance was meant to make us feel emotionally surrendered to sensuality. As Olorami so perfectly put it—I highly recommend reading their review. As for the scent: it plays with the cheekiness of pink pepper, blends it with woody patchouli, and refreshes it with citrus, plus a subtle fruity-sweet touch of peach that goes unnoticed. Then comes the overindulgence of Damask rose, wrapped in powdery iris that smells like foundation. It all closes with spicy, salty, and aggressive vanilla, backed by a minimal sandalwood that reinforces the woodiness thanks to the long-lasting patchouli. It’s a perfume designed to grab attention; its trail isn’t an atomic bazooka, but it’s very perceptible and superior to the norm without being overwhelming. It’s ‘ideal intensity.’ If you’re not comfortable standing out, it’s not for you. This edition, which even came in perfume format, isn’t for minimalist tastes or soft citrus lovers, but for those seeking depth without veering into vulgarity. It’s versatile and original. The sensuality lies in the aroma; it’s not magic that turns you into a sexual symbol, but if you embrace sensuality as it proposes, you can master yourself with it.

It’s more sophisticated and sensual than its sibling, Allure, which I’m a fan of. Allure is more serious and classic, while this one explores much more feminine experiences. I think it’s deliciously feminine, less reserved than the other, with a spicy and sexy edge that makes it unique despite the similarities. Without a doubt… I want it.

  28. ArantxA87

It’s more sophisticated and sensual than its sibling Allure, which I adore. Let’s say Allure is more serious, classic, and less transgressive than Allure Sensuelle, which, starting from the same base, explores much more feminine experiences. I think it’s a deliciously feminine fragrance, not as ‘reserved’ as Allure, but with a spicy and sexy touch that makes it different from its sister, despite their similarities. Without a doubt… I want it.

  29. For me, Allure Sensuelle isn’t just a perfume; it’s an unforgettable experience. Every time I wear it, the reactions are incredible, whether from men or women (it certainly breeds some envy). I’m not an expert on notes, but my intuition tells me it’s the perfect accessory to anchor my character, personality, and femininity. I feel it was made especially for me: elegant, delicately strong, unpredictable, sophisticatedly bold, and authentic. To me, it’s totally extraordinary.
