It achieved timelessness by fusing past and present; while it draws from the Polo base, it tones down the pine in favor of a mossy oak freshness with menthol notes. Basil refines the leather and amber base, giving it a more formal aura than Safari. It starts powerful and saturated, then travels through an ultra-clean herbal trail, almost like sweet, mineral toothpaste, lasting over 9 hours. Projection is strong at first, drops by hour six, but resurges if you warm it up on your skin. Reminiscent of Boss Spirit, Guerlain’s Coriolan, and Halston’s Z-14, yet with a unique personality. It’s like stepping into an autumn forest with the warmth of spring still lingering in the air. A masterfully assembled ode representing the rise of American creator perfumers in the 80s and 90s.
