Zara’s New Mango & Oud: A Warm Tropical Blend by Jo Malone

Zara has introduced a new unisex fragrance, Sera a Taormina Mango & Oud, as part of its ongoing collaboration with perfumer Jo Malone. Launching in 2026, this scent adds a fresh chapter to the house’s exploration of sunny, Mediterranean-inspired compositions.

Built around a core of mango, guava, and saffron, the fragrance sits at the crossroads of tropical fruit and warm, balsamic depth. It’s a bold but wearable choice for those who like their sweetness grounded in earthy, woody notes.

The composition opens with the juicy brightness of mango and guava, immediately setting a lush, tropical tone. That fruitiness is quickly enveloped by the distinctive presence of saffron, which introduces a warm, leathery spice and gives the scent an exotic edge.

At its heart, patchouli brings an earthy, slightly metallic quality that balances the sweetness. The patchouli accord here is not overly dark; instead, it feels smoothed and modern, letting the fruit stay vivid while adding a layer of sophistication. The balance is elegant and well executed.

Benzoin and amber-like accords deepen the base, contributing a soft balsamic sweetness and a gentle resinous warmth. The woody and earthy elements keep the drydown grounded, while the overall effect remains airy enough for warm weather wear.

According to the fragrance’s listed accords, the profile is warm-spicy, tropical, fruity, and amber-woody, with subtle balsamic and metallic nuances. That combination suggests a scent that can transition from day to evening, appealing to both men and women who enjoy complex but approachable blends.

Early community feedback shows a solid rating of 4.14 out of 5 based on 22 ratings, with 2 written reviews so far. As a new release, it’s still building its reputation, but the initial response points to a well-balanced fragrance that delivers both freshness and depth.

This fragrance will appeal to anyone who loves tropical fruit combined with warm, spicy depth. It’s especially suited to those who appreciate the craftsmanship of Jo Malone and want a unisex scent that feels both sun-drenched and sophisticated.

Sera a Taormina Mango & Oud is a compelling new release that finds harmony between exuberant fruit and grounding balsamic wood. With its balanced patchouli base and the rare touch of guava and saffron, it’s a promising addition to Zara’s lineup for 2026.

  1. This perfume is absolutely amazing, although I get that it might not appeal to everyone. It’s a beast when it comes to projection and longevity for a Zara perfume. It easily lasts 24 hours on clothes and over 12 hours on skin. I love it, and my husband and I both use it.

  2. Even though it smells like mango and claims to have oud, it’s the patchouli that ruins the fragrance; I don’t like that ingredient in perfumes.
