Declaration EDP is woody and spicy. The opening shows the line’s DNA, but lasts only five minutes before becoming very spicy. It’s more than cinnamon; it smells like authentic Chai tea, with ginger, cardamom, and spices that bring a subtle green note. I like the tea and the aroma, but I’m not sure if I want to smell like that all day. Due to the spice load, it’s ideal for autumn and winter, though it also works in fresh springs or evening outings. I struggle to imagine daily use, maybe for casual outdoor dates. Longevity is excellent, lasting over 8 hours with a clear trail at one meter. In my opinion, I liked it less than others in the collection, but I don’t want to discourage anyone; everyone has their own perfume idea.

I agree with the previous reviews: they use the Declaration base and add a ton of cinnamon that overwhelms everything. I own the Parfum and prefer it a thousand times over this one. Tested dry.
It has the Declaration opening and little else. Within five seconds, a flat, monotonous cinnamon appears; while not bad, it feels simplistic. The tea gets muted, and without anything to highlight it, it settles into boring cinnamon. I was looking for something more Declaration or a tea-cinnamon blend like Gucci II, but here there’s just a soliloquy of cinnamon.
I tried it yesterday at El Corte Inglés. It opens reminiscent of the original EDT, but quickly shifts to something smokier. It has that cardamom, tea, and spice mix that defines the line. In the heart, the smoke stands out, very interesting, but there it starts to resemble Declaration Essence. It has a huge trail and lasts over 12 hours. Cartier always makes exceptional perfumes, and this is no exception. I won’t buy it because it’s too similar to the ones I mentioned and adds nothing new, even though it smells incredible. I’m a fan of the Déclaration line, but this doesn’t offer me anything different.
