Flowerbomb Nectar by Viktor&Rolf

It’s pricey, very typical of Victor & Rolf. Smells heavy, perfect for winter. You get vanilla with a touch of gunpowder that gives it a bitter, sulfurous base—very original. Lasts 9-10 hours on clothes with moderate projection all day.

Bought it blind and the bottle is gorgeous. Smells sweet and ambered, nothing fruity or fresh, but not heavy either. Ideal for cool temperatures (10-27°C); if you like sweet scents, you can wear it year-round, though it’s better for special occasions. It’s not super original, it’s honeyed and white floral (don’t expect something gourmand), but after 5 minutes, a earthy, smoky note kicks in—the gunpowder. Still very feminine and sweet. I loved it 😍

Sweet, but the gunpowder gives it a distinct twist. I’ve had it since launch and didn’t like it at first, but as the notes mellowed, they balanced out. The gunpowder faded and now the vanilla shines through. Now I actually like it; it doesn’t kill me. Bought it blind (not recommended with this one). It lasts but isn’t a beast; moderate trail that fades later.

Viktor&Rolf don’t aim to please everyone, as the saying goes, ‘friend to all, friend to none.’ Flowerbomb is my best friend; my perfume-loving friend gifted it to me. If Black Opium is a dangerous woman who won’t even kill a fly, Flowerbomb is a saint who is a killer: you’d willingly die for it (beast mode ON). I’m terrified to use it up; they last forever. If you find it and love gourmands, don’t think twice, grab it blind. If they discontinue it, we’ll cry hard. It’s the most beautiful girl you know, wearing a silk dress with a leather choker, braids at 30, suspicious merchandise, and lollipops. The one who can save or ruin your life. DO NOT MISS OUT. Scent 9/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 9/10, Value/Quality 8/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 10/10. Would I buy again? Yes, a thousand times.

Flowerbomb Nectar is one of the best commercial perfumes today. It has a used accord, but it plays differently and more strikingly thanks to an added note that makes the experience special. I love it. Very fruity at the start, creamy and sensual jasmine, and a vanilla-drydown that’s warm and sweet. The most striking thing is that its entire evolution features a ‘weird’ note: gunpowder. It gives it a distinct, aromatic touch that balances the sweetness and blows my mind. It’s still very sweet, but it doesn’t feel cloying or annoying to me. It’s similar to other Flowerbombs but warmer, sweeter, and less floral. It definitely wins against them all. Longevity varies between 8-12 hours, with very noticeable projection and sillage for the first 2-3 hours. Very good. Totally feminine. Suitable for mild/cold days. Sensual, sexy, ideal for going out and conquering, because you won’t go unnoticed. In short: I love it. Unique, with personality, addictive, and superior performance. I’d buy it a thousand times.

It’s my favorite so far: a refined, balanced sweet gourmand. Be careful with the opening; if you don’t hydrate well, the gunpowder note can turn nasty, even fishy. But if you prep right, it’s exquisite: peach juice, citrus, and osmanthus pollen creating a concentrated nectar with jasmine and orchid. Although I won’t admit it, it smells strongly of orange at first. Comparing it to Flowerbomb Orchid, it sounds like the perfect dried-down version of that nectar, featuring just peach, orchid, and vanilla. I recommend it a thousand times; it’s the best in the line.

Beautiful but potent. It’s juicy, with all the Flowerbomb DNA, just as ‘Nectar’ says. Very sexy and sweet, ideal for turning heads. If you overuse it, the gunpowder is annoying, but it doesn’t smell like fireworks; it adds a spicy kick. It opens as a sweet vanilla bomb with amber and floral honey, then settles into cherry, creamy vanilla, and benzoin. It’s gourmand, so if you don’t like sweets, skip it. Totally feminine and sexy. I detect unlisted fruity notes. Perfect for cold days or night outs. Watch out with the sprays or you might get dizzy.

I waited a long time to get it and was anxious, worried about the high price. It wasn’t what I expected: not explosive or groundbreaking, suitable for day or night. Described as floral-fruity-sweet-fresh, but the notes give another impression. Like Scandal By Night, but less scandalous: sweet, calm, not cloying. The patchouli is noticeable, treated silky with the flowers. The gunpowder makes it addictive, like the effect of gasoline or burning matches (without smelling like it, but makes you keep smelling, sometimes spicy). Sillage is light, perhaps due to the style, but more sprays change the concept. Super beautiful aroma; it conquered my night notes. Highlights vanilla and patchouli. The price is high; it reminds me of a Victoria’s Secret mist or Jimmy Choo fragrances. I’ve already smelled cheap imitations and they are too similar. I don’t recommend owning more than one from this line; they are very similar. I didn’t want to keep it; it wore out on me quickly. Edit: What relief to get rid of them; I only remember the patchouli and how long it lasted on my clothes.

There are few perfumes that drive me crazy from the start, and this wasn’t the case. I took months to review it because it confused me at first, but I gave it a second chance. In spring, my perception changed: it’s the perfect season. As its name suggests, it’s flower nectar with candied peach, benzoin spices, gorgeous patchouli, magnificent vanilla, and the smoky, spicy touch of gunpowder. It’s jovial, coquettish, fun, daytime, very sweet and spicy with elegance. Lasts over 8 hours with appreciable sillage; a delight. It dries down to a creamy, spicy vanilla. At first, I didn’t understand the gunpowder; it sounded metallic to me, like muskets at my city’s parties. It appears at the start and never disappears; if you understand it, you’ll love it. Magic happened: it’s unique and original, you’ll get compliments, it won’t go unnoticed. Well balanced: the metallic and spicy notes balance the sweetness. Bravo! I would buy it a thousand times again.

I bought it blind because it’s hard to find in Chile. I already had a decant of the regular one, which was nice but didn’t win me over, so I looked for this one to be more intense and sweet. I wasn’t wrong: it has much more personality. The gunpowder in the opening is interesting; on my dry skin, it’s like caramelized sugar but fresher than caramel. It’s for a young woman, it doesn’t smell teenage despite the sweetness. Very delicious, worth the price.

It’s a bomb! But it was too powdery for me… What a pity to buy blind; it’s a gorgeous perfume. If anyone wants to swap it, write to me! =)

I didn’t like it at the beginning or the end. It smells very much like Signorina Misteriosa. Terrible buy.

I was super curious because everyone is looking for it and the reviews are good. Bought a decant and it was HORRIBLE for me. Smells like strong, weird gunpowder (why did they put that in?). Far from pleasant, it smells like a party firecracker. Here in CDMX on New Year’s, neighbors ‘bang’ all night and leave that burnt gunpowder smell. This perfume smells exactly like that. Horrible and a bad experience.

Lasted on my skin for 24 hours, yes, more than 24! It’s the most long-lasting perfume I’ve ever smelled, it’s delicious and the gunpowder gives it a playful vibe, very original and with personality. I love it.

Bought it blind based on references… It’s not a perfume that kills me, nor do I dislike it, I don’t know why it reminds me of Classique by JPG… I know they aren’t the same… On me, the gunpowdry note stands out a lot at first. I must say it wasn’t love at first sight… I don’t think I’ll repurchase this perfume…
