Tuberosa
Wild nutmeg and cardamomo, the rose hits you instantly with a smoky incense vibe, even if it’s not on the label. It throws you straight into a Medina; the warmth of the spices feels like the desert. Potent with great projection, it lasts 8 hours on skin but drops off after the first four, settling into a more personal bubble. A very special scent, but too masculine for my taste.

I haven’t stepped foot in Marrakech’s Mellah market, but this smells of wood, sweetness, and spice. It’s delicious and addictive; on my skin, nutmeg, sandalwood, and Guatemalan cardamomo stand out over a tonka bean base. If you love woody-spiced perfumes, this is a safe blind buy—I did exactly that and it worked out great. Top performance: 7-12+ hours of longevity and excellent projection at two meters. Scent 9/10, Projection 9/10, Longevity 10/10, Value 8/10.

A very special fragrance for me, with an indescribable, unique magic. It has multiple facets: floral, spicy, and woody. I love how everything blends together to form an exquisite whole. I’d wear it on cool autumn or winter evenings and nights. It’s creamy with the rose, semi-sweet, and very balanced; the Guatemalan cardamomo adds a touch of brilliance. The amber side is the best part of the scent. I truly feel it’s unisex. Projection ranges from moderate to wide, with about 6 hours of longevity on skin. I own Cuir de Venise by Boucheron, and they are very different scents; I prefer Nuit de Sable much more.

This perfume transports me to the Mellah market in Marrakech. Walking there, surrounded by millions of spices, you also find stalls with dried flowers symbolizing the rose. Ultimately, it’s the spices that dominate and make you remember the smell even after you’re gone. On my skin, it’s: spices, spices, and more spices, in their most natural form. The queen is nutmeg. As it dries, a floral/attar-like creamy nuance appears. A few hours in, I sense something smoky that I love; it reminds me of the luxury incense sticks they used in the Riad where we stayed. Performance is good: moderate projection, moderate sillage, and over 8 hours on skin. It’s unisex but leans masculine. Honestly, looking at the notes, I thought I’d like it more. Note: I don’t dislike it. It could be a delight for lovers of pure spice. In fact, if I had it as a candle or incense, I’d adore it. As a perfume, personally, I’d need something more, like a stronger vanilla or tonka bean base, to make it totally my own. Still, I think it’s a very good creation.
