Legend by Montblanc holds a privileged spot in my collection. It balances fruity, sweet, and aromatic notes perfectly. Upon application, the lavender and citrus provide immediate freshness, while the woody and vanilla base offers a warm, cozy feel. It has herbal nuances and a fresh spicy touch that feels modern and pleasant. Sentimental value: Honestly, I like it a lot, but mostly because it holds special meaning: it was the first perfume my wife ever gave me. I have a fondness for it that no other fragrance matches. Usage and versatility: For a long time, it was my go-to. I used it for everything: dates, the office… The best part is that, despite being sweet, it’s not cloying; it’s light yet full of character. Personal experience: I loved it so much I finished the bottle quickly. It’s one of those scents that invite you to reapply again and again without getting tired. In summary, it’s an all-terrain fragrance, masculine, with a perfect sweet touch that will always bring back good memories.

I was looking for a fragrance for the office. The sales associate recommended it and I loved it: exquisite, sweet but fruity, not cloying, with a hint of citrus, harmonious, and non-invasive. Maybe it’s not groundbreaking, but it’s charming. I bought it without hesitation (it seemed expensive, around $150 in Argentina). I sprayed it on my skin. The sales associate said I could exchange it if I didn’t like it. After half an hour I could barely smell it, and by 45 minutes it had completely vanished. Luckily, I was close by and exchanged it. In my opinion, it’s not worth that money, but for those who like the scent, it’s a decent proposal.

A classic staple, what a delightful fragrance! Legend by Montblanc is one of those gems where, from the first spray, you know it won’t fail. For me, it gives a vibe similar to Boss Bottled and even 9am Dive, but without being an outright copy. And although I don’t know Fierce, I know many make the comparison, so you get the idea. What I like most is that it embodies the word ‘versatility.’ Literally, it works for any age, event, or season. You can wear it at the office, on a casual date, during the day or night, and you’ll always look good. What’s truly appreciated is that it’s not one of those sweet fragrances that get tiring or feel hostile. It has a perfect balance. In its dry down, the star is a very well-executed trio: the apple, which gives it a fruity and juicy touch; the lavender, which adds cleanliness and aroma; and a little bit of geranium green that makes it fresh and vibrant. It’s a clean, fruity mix with an elegant touch that makes it irresistible. Legend completely exceeded my expectations. It’s a fragrance that gives you confidence, easy to wear, and best of all, it smells incredible. My score: 9/10, because it met everything I expected and more.

I don’t smell it as fruity as they claim. It’s more simplistic and has an 80s vibe, very aromatic. I’m not saying it’s bad, but it gave me a ‘meh.’ That said, in Argentina there is at least one deodorant (I don’t remember which one) that has exactly the same scent.

Smells good but doesn’t last at all, no projection, low sillage… I bought it several years ago and since then I’ve never bought another Montblanc fragrance (except Starwalker which I love the scent). The truth is, I don’t recommend buying it.

Projection is moderate to poor, the scent doesn’t stand out, and it smells like Old Spice deodorant. Not worth the price.

They say it’s fresh as summer, but here in Sinaloa it suffocates me; I used to wear it daily and didn’t like it, probably due to the heat. For me, it’s perfect in fall/winter, especially in the evening, easy to wear and without any fuss.

Simple yet serious at the same time; the opening is citrusy and sweet, but the drydown features woods and florals that make it serious and spicy. I see it as a daily office scent or for simple outings. Girls don’t seem to like it as much as other Montblanc fragrances, but it’s cheap and smells good, you should give it a try.

Ideal for large offices or very formal settings; don’t use it anywhere else. It’s an extremely serious and clean scent that can make you smell older due to the lasting lavender, plus nuts, woods, and florals that enhance that vibe. It’s only for that. It can even be quite annoying if not worn in a spacious office. If you want something pleasant and versatile for daily wear, go with Legend in the Eau de Toilette version.

It smells good, but I get the impression it’s already outdated compared to current trends.

Disappointing. Between 2014 and 2017, it was my signature scent; I always wore it and loved it. I’ve tried other Mont Blanc fragrances like Emblem and Exceptionnel, but I remembered Legend having more longevity and projection. I’m not sure if the quality dropped or my nose changed, but now I barely smell it at all. At first, it smells like alcohol and something citrusy, then it disappears in 30 minutes. I sprayed it 7 times, twice a day, and nothing. It stays close to the skin with an earthy, sweet leather note that lasts 4-5 hours. Perfect for any occasion because it barely smells at all 🤣. Total letdown for me.

I really like it. Fruity aroma, you can smell the moss, very clean, maybe because of the lavender. It’s versatile; I’ve used it at the office and for casual outings. It doesn’t have much projection, but it maintains a very pleasant personal bubble; people have told me it smells great. Longevity in my case reaches five hours.

For those who like this perfume, I recommend the new YSL, ‘MYSLF’. Although it has extra notes that differentiate it from Legend, it’s the one that comes closest. Most similar scents, like Spirit, Eau de Parfum, or Percival (which, despite being the same composition, differ in proportions), fail to capture that sweet freshness that Montblanc Legend has and that I love; they all seem drier to me compared to that. ‘MYSLF’ does have that note, plus it solves Montblanc’s problems: it lasts longer and stays pleasant its whole life (Montblanc’s dry-down becomes too residual). It has extra notes reminiscent of Amouage Reflection Man that complement it very well, differentiating it but not enough to make it something else; it’s really balanced. I left that fragrance profile because Montblanc didn’t meet the minimums and the others lacked that magic touch, but YSL has allowed me to enjoy it in all its glory. I’ve used half a bottle and it’s a delight, plus it lasts a long time on clothes. If you’re a Montblanc Legend lover, you’ll definitely be interested. Cheers! A woody aroma combined with fruity sparkles that turns the fragrance into a source of compliments from the female sector. It’s sophisticated, virile, and radiates infinite cleanliness and transparency. It’s sensitive and characterful, and although they seem contradictory, Legend shows they can go hand in hand. Based on its notes, it’s designed for day and night, timeless, with excellent fixation and durability, staying intact on the skin for long hours.

Montblanc Legend EDT is an all-rounder. In Mexico, I’ll use it all year round due to the climate. It lasts between 6 and 7 hours with a moderate trail, but if you apply it on clothes, it’s solved. The DNA of A&F Fierce is tremendous; with better quality, I imagine it much better (Percival). At an approximate price of $45 in Mexico, the only one I know that does the job better is Versace Pour Homme, but curiously, it’s very mass-produced. It’s an interesting point: there’s a perception that Legend is mass-produced, but I think influencers helped de-massify it. I mean that Nautica Voyage, Versace Pour Homme, and Club de Nuit Intense (Aventus dupes) ate up the market it was targeting. That doesn’t mean no one uses it, but I think you get my point. Longevity: 6 hours. Price: excellent, I paid $55 for 200 ml. Climate: preferable above 15°C but works for everything. Occasion: whatever you come up with. Age: between 20 and 30, I can’t think of a 15-year-old or a 40-year-old using it. Anyway, if someone asks for a recommendation for a perfume that serves for everything and costs less than $50, tell them Versace Pour Homme and you take Legend.
