Bois Datchai is my top pick from Maison Crivelli, especially for that incredible tea note that blends beautifully with an attractive woody side. The blackcurrants and cinnamon add a sweet touch with a hint of acidity, while the cedar and guaiac bring depth and density. Up close, it sometimes smells like cumin (happens with other tea perfumes), but the trail is spectacular and intoxicating. I see it as more masculine, versatile for any weather or occasion, with average performance. In the Crivelli style, it’s easy to like, high quality, and unique. Worth trying to get to know the brand or as an alternative to tea perfumes. Rating: 9/10
Bois Datchai is my favorite from Maison Crivelli, and I think part of the reason is its rich, well-balanced tea note paired with a very appealing woody character.
