More than anything, curious. I can picture it on a 45+ Norwegian mother or an alternative city girl. What defines it is that dried fruit note, that wink of wine, the quince, and carrot seeds. It’s a fruity scent (not juicy), with vegetal and woody touches—adult and feminine.
Fantastic. It’s been my own discovery, from the scent to the longevity. A citrus opening that isn’t piercing; it reminded me of Perris Monte Carlo’s Cedre de Diamante. Gradually, an iris emerges that I love, very much in the style of Dior Homme 2005, which smells quite like the original Dior formula. It becomes sweeter and powdery, with quince in the heart. Great performance on my skin, lasting 12 hours without needing to reapply. A great discovery from the house.
Vegetal bitterness at the start from that carrot, which I recognize well after hearing about Like This by Etat Libre d’Orange. Dried fruit peel, not sweet, and it gives me the impression of smelling crushed dry wine leaves—something that doesn’t exist in real life. I also detect dry quince. Everything feels powdery and withered. It turned into a curious scent.
Lys Sølaberg is by far the most original perfume in the entire brand, and I really like that. Without looking at the notes, I sense nuances of everything: something like scented hand cream, woody notes, and flowers heavy with pollen. Upon examining them, the dominant notes are quince, lily of the valley, iris, and tobacco. It has a sweet air that doesn’t become too powdery, but it gives the composition clear creaminess. It’s complex and at times indescribably pleasant. In short, besides being unique, it smells high quality. I’d use it in temperate climates to make an impression, and I see it as unisex with good performance. Worth trying. Rating: 8/10.
