Oud Stallion by Maison Crivelli

If you love leathers, this is a must-have, no debate.

It’s the most leather-focused scent from Maison Crivelli: a powerful opening with sweet saffron and cardamomo, blended with nutmeg that wraps you in a cloud of spice and skin. It’s a clean leather with a dirty edge, like dusty, polished suede. As it dries down, the spice fades slightly, tickling the nose a bit, leaving a floral base with rose and the leather taking center stage. I like it, though it’s not my top 3 from the brand because I prefer other leather options like Cuoium or Defied by Tony Iommi. I don’t detect any oud, nor that cold mineral vibe found in Ombre Nomade; it’s purely spiced leather. The longevity is nuclear, as we’ve come to expect. I own the Oud Maracujá and absolutely love it, but I bought this one afterward. At first, I thought I preferred Maracujá, but then I realized this one is truly unique—exactly what I was looking for. It’s complex and distinct; on my skin, a sweet note stands out, probably from the saffron and tonka bean. I see it as totally unisex: intriguing on a man and sexy on a woman 🥹. Of course, I’m drawn to dark, complex scents.

This is a much more concentrated and masculine extract than other scents from the brand; just a couple of sprays cover your whole body and last all day, haha. I used it at a family gathering, let someone smell it, and they preferred it over Oud Maracujá; two weeks later, they were still obsessed. I sprayed it three times and they were head over heels, filling the whole room with its scent. Although it’s unisex, it leans toward a male audience; I detect spices and something green, like the bottle suggests—probably the patchouli. When I wore it, it didn’t bother me, but it overshadowed Maracujá, and Stallion ruled my skin. Wow, an absolute beast! Not much new to say: leather through the roof, but of a soft type (I swear I hate Tom Ford’s Ombre Leather because it smells like camel leather from a bargain bin to me), spiced with that stable and equestrian touch thanks to the woods, but all very pleasant. The sweetness of tonka bean arrives quickly. These notes together—leather, oud, and tonka bean—form an exquisite symphony. An addictive scent. Then comes an evolution unlike any other. In short: Ages 25+ is an adult unisex scent, but on the masculine side of the spectrum. The weather calls for cool or fresh temperatures. Scent: 9/10. Longevity: 8.5/10. Duration: 8-9h. Projection: 9/10. Versatility: 7/10. Price: $$$$ Final Score: 9/10.

Wow! I’ve been wearing it for a few days and it’s surprised me with its personality and how addictive it is for anyone who loves complex or heavy fragrances. One of Maison Crivelli’s top-tier scents.

Those who vote it has a moderate price don’t know where they’re coming from. 5€/ml is an abuse. That said, after buying the bottle, it seemed like a perfectly fine perfume with a somewhat clichéd accord: leather, oud, nutmeg, and cardamomo. Extraordinary power and apothegmatic performance.
