Incredible similarity to YSL’s Black Opium: sweet opening, white florals, sandalwood, and exquisite vanilla. Now its sillage and projection are good. For the price, it’s an excellent choice.
Reminds me a lot of YSL’s Black Opium: a sweet opening with white florals, sandalwood, and exquisite vanilla. Now its trail and projection are beastly. Given the price, it’s a top choice. Scent: 6.5, Longevity: 6.2, Sillage: 6.0, Design: 6.3. Total: 6.3.
A lighter version of YSL’s Black Opium, without the coffee and very fruity. Good projection and lasts 6-8 hours on skin. The bottle is gorgeous and the price is unbeatable in drugstores. I’ll keep buying it as long as La Rive makes it. Scent 8/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 10/10. Would I buy again? Yes.
It’s a lighter version of YSL’s Black Opium, without that coffee note and very fruity. It has good projection and lasts about 6-8 hours on the skin. The bottle is gorgeous and the price is unbeatable (5.95 euros at DM drugstores in Germany). I’ll keep repurchasing it as long as La Rive keeps making it. Scent 8/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 10/10, Versatility 9/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.
I don’t think it’s a dupe for BO; maybe it’s 50% similar. But regardless, I love it for cold days since winter is starting in Chile. It’s cozy and gives me a sense of well-being and warmth. Longevity and sillage are moderate, but for the price, I reapply and carry the bottle with me. I think it wins all around if you like sweet scents.
I bought it once on eBay from Argentina, which meant waiting two months or more for it to arrive—I can’t remember exactly. Honestly, I loved its scent; I chose it after reading the reviews on the site. But on my skin, which is difficult for perfumes, it didn’t last at all, not even an hour. Still, it seemed like an exquisite fragrance. I smelled mostly vanilla, sweetness, and white florals, but unfortunately, it wasn’t what I expected in terms of persistence. Maybe I just got unlucky and bought a knockoff from a seller in Israel.

Smells good, though I think Zara’s Gardenia is a better clone of Black Opium. It smells just like Touch of Woman, only more intense and rich.
It gives the general vibe of Black Opium, but La Rive is sweeter, with vanilla taking the lead. The original is more dynamic and its vanilla is less sweet. The real win with Touch of Woman is that on my skin it lasts longer, about 7 hours. Great alternative!

Wow, incredible quality! I love that I can’t stop smelling it. It’s gourmand and chocolatey with a trail that has nothing to envy. Zara Gardenia falls short: this La Rive version is more intense, lasts longer, and its vanilla sweetness isn’t cloying. If you’re looking for something subtle, don’t buy this—it’s here to turn heads.
Sweet chocolate scent. Projects well though it fades quickly, but on the skin it lasts about eight hours. The bottle is pretty and the atomizer works great. It resembles Black Opium, but this one is sweeter.
Nothing like the original Black Opium; forget the chocolate. This is a white floral with a sweet touch, like J’adore but loaded with jasmine. For this price, no complaints.
