Lemon Line by Mancera

I absolutely love it, but I still get comments that I smell like dish soap. And honestly, it does smell similar. At least it’s a clean scent, if that’s even a good thing.

LA AMOOOOOOO! I started my collection early this year, and this was one of the ones that caught my attention. This is a gem for hot weather; if you really love citrus perfumes, you’ll adore this.

To all the people complaining about performance, wait a month. At first, I felt it was weak, but now it feels very long-lasting. It’s the peak of citrus perfumes. At first, it’s a yellow lemon—clean but spicy—then in the dry down, it becomes a curious experience, like a floral lemon candy. One of the best things for summer.

Straight to the point. Lemon, lemon leaf, lavender. Most people told me the opening smelled like floor cleaner. Still, it’s rich and enjoyable. I have the 2022 batch with the magnetic cap, and it leaves a lot to be desired in terms of projection and longevity.

There’s not much more to say about this fragrance than: delicious. It’s a very pleasant fragrance; if you’re a lemon lover, this is your best option. When you apply it, it smells like lemonade with very, very light notes of moss, lavender, and orange, but above all, the lemon. It smells like an intermediate between Chanel Edition Blanche (but much less sweet) and Dior Homme Cologne (but slightly sweeter and more complex). Definitely fresh, perfect for extreme heat, with a very natural aroma, probably because it uses high-quality ingredients. It has good projection and longevity—nothing incredible, but it fully delivers in those aspects. I could say it’s one of my favorites. Edit: I stopped using it for a while because the atomizer broke, but I finally fixed it. Now that it has had time to age, it has changed completely. Now, not only do I perceive the lemon, but I also feel much more of the white floral side and an amber note; the lavender also stands out much more. It has become a bit more complex, with a slight soapy feeling, if you will, and its power and longevity have increased.

Look, both my friend and I were left with a bitter taste, but not because of the scent. At first, it smells like freshly squeezed lemon with the peel—sour and bitter. Within minutes, it fades into a touch of lavender and soft florals (I’m not an expert in perfumes to tell you exactly which ones, haha), and then you detect a mossy note, like breathing hard in a damp place, like a forest, which isn’t bad. The downside is the longevity: I used it in summer and now in full-on December, and it’s the same—about 4 or 5 hours. The trail disappears after two hours. I recommend it if you like lemon, but if it lasted longer, I’d definitely buy it again; it smells great.

A citrus scent with no depth. It’s just lemon and more lemon. Lasts 5 hours on skin, up to 7 on clothes. I wouldn’t buy it again. Good quality, but not for me.

For a citrus, it has surprisingly good longevity and projection. Lasts over 7 hours on skin and can last days on clothes depending on the fabric. The scent is linear—lemon and more lemon, sweetened to taste like a lemon dessert. It’s pleasant and has earned me several compliments. A great everyday summer or hot-weather workhorse. This perfume delivers what Mancera is known for and lives up to the brand. 9/10.

This fragrance has most of the notes I love (mandarin, juniper, lavender, lemon, geranium, etc.), and yes, I’m tempted to buy it (if it were available). The geranium, the herbal touch of lavender, and the citrus notes are present from the start through the dry-down. It might seem linear, but that doesn’t matter because if you like these compositions, this is exactly what you want to smell. In my country, there are no seasons; I live on the equatorial line, but I’d say it’s suitable for summer and spring daytime wear, for events with a certain level of formality. I join the chorus of admirers; it deserves it. Plus, it reminds me of old-school citrus scents like Dior Eau Sauvage.

I got compliments on the first day I wore it to the office. ‘Relaxing aroma’ is how I describe it, and that’s how others described it too. Recommended for the office on summer days or to lift your spirits on an ordinary morning.

Test on skin for a full day before buying. It was a mistake to test and buy after just 10 minutes; it’s a great fragrance, but on my skin it lasts a maximum of 4 hours. I had hoped it would last at least 8 or 10. As a lesson for buying Mancera: better to keep the fragrance on your skin all day before purchasing. The initial scent is delicious, a hit of concentrated lemon soap, and it smells like lemon candies until the two-hour mark. After that, you feel a low concentration of musk (maybe that’s why it doesn’t last long on my skin; probably a batch issue).

A good citrus with white florals and moss; lasts longer than the average citrus but isn’t a beast. It puts me in a good mood, but its flaw is that it’s very linear with no noticeable evolution, which is disappointing for the price. It’s unisex, a bit more intense than typical feminine scents, so I wouldn’t recommend it much for girls. It’s good, but not extraordinary.

I tested a decant from two years ago and a new one, and I notice the scent has changed. Before, it was a more feminine floral citrus; now the citrus is sharper and the florals are toned down. It smells like lemon candies and feels overpriced. It only lasted about 3 hours.

Just bought it and I love citrus scents that make you salivate like you’re squeezing a lemon. The good thing is that while it shifts to something sweeter, it never loses that acidic edge for those who don’t like overly sweet fragrances.

It’s an incredibly potent citrus fragrance; as someone said, it reminds me of lemon candy, with the intensity of a HALLS. At first, it’s a bit harsh but tends toward creamy. It has good longevity; I wish Hermes Eau de Toilettes lasted as long. Problem: in my mind, it smells like floor cleaner. Although the composition is high quality, it smells like that. I find it interesting as an olfactory experience, but that’s it, and I certainly wouldn’t pay the price.
