Very citrusic opening, then evolves into wood. Long-lasting, enveloping, not cloying, and blends well. Perfumes from this brand are exceptional for their originality, although the downside is the high price.
Very citrusy opening, then evolves into wood. Long-lasting, enveloping scent, not cloying, and blends well. Perfumes from this brand are top-notch for their originality, though the downside is the price.
Definitely the best lemon note I’ve ever smelled (Amalfi, super natural, and slightly sweet like candied). Combined with green cypress and Virginia cedar in the base, it’s exquisite. Its beastly longevity, 8 to 10 hours, and monstrous projection stand out. The perfect example that citrus can last and be powerful, not watery like most. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for something powerful and natural.
Without a doubt, the best lemon note I’ve ever smelled (Amalfi lemon, super natural and slightly sweet like candied fruit). With the cypress (also green and citrusy) and Virginia cedar in the base, it’s exquisite. The best part: the longevity is beast mode, lasting 8 to 10 hours with monstrous projection. A perfect proof that citrus can last and be powerful, not watery like Terre d’Eau Tres Fraiche, which on my skin lasts two hours and I’m already being generous. I recommend it if you’re looking for something potent and natural.
Long-lasting citrus. If you like citrus, don’t miss the chance to try Acqua Viva. It’s amazing, like many from this Italian house. We know citrus usually fades in half an hour or so, but here AV makes the lemon last much longer. How? The opening is an effervescent lemon that unleashes freshness. It’s not the sweet kind that gets cloying, but the crisp and sparkling kind to stand up to the heat. When the lemon settles, the conifers appear in the background. The lemon becomes more timid without disappearing—that’s the noteworthy part. The cypress, cedar, and a touch of earth grow without dominating. It gives 8 to 10 hours of fresh lemonade, depending on the heat and if it touches clothes, it lasts all day with good projection. Natural aroma, a real lemon, ideal for days over 30°C. For me, it’s unisex, though it looks more masculine. High price like all from the brand, but they last a fortune in the wardrobe; a little goes a long way. In short, very natural and unique citrus, the longest-lasting one I know.
Long-lasting citrus. If you love citrus, don’t miss this opportunity. It’s amazing, like many from this Italian house. We know citrus doesn’t last, but AV makes the lemon endure much longer. Opens with effervescent, fresh, and sparkling lemon, not cloying. Then conifers appear in the background. The lemon becomes shy without disappearing, while cypress, cedar, and a touch of earth grow without dominating. Provides 8 to 10 hours of freshness, or all day if you rub it on your clothes. Very good projection. Natural aroma, ideal for days over 86°F. Unisex, though associated with men. High price, but they last a fortune in the closet. A little goes a long way. A very natural, unique, and the longest-lasting citrus I know.
The best way to describe it is ‘citrus bomb’. It’s not complex; the lemon is very noticeable (if you don’t like it, stay away). The woods ‘sweeten’ it slightly and give it body, but the citrus remains prominent and persistent. It doesn’t resemble commercial scents and is distinctive. Tested between 68-82°F, its performance doesn’t drop: minimum 8 hours with 6 sprays, usually 10-12 hours with 8 sprays, and sometimes more. Two extra sprays on clothes help, and it smells delicious the next day. Along with Tygar, it offers the best longevity. Some might be put off by the simplicity versus the price, but it’s a high-quality, exclusive citrus that lasts forever. The price is justified. Acqua Viva invites you to live. Au revoir!
To sum up: it’s the best pure citrus you can find. Flavorful, fresh, yet dense. Unlike its genre, it boasts formidable performance in longevity and projection. A must-have for lovers of Mediterranean citrus taken to excellence.
To sum it up: it’s the best pure citrus you can find in perfumeries, pleasant, fresh but dense. Unlike its genre, it has formidable performance in longevity and projection. A must-have for lovers of Mediterranean citrus taken to the max.
Simple, majestic, and hyper-realistic. The best lemon note on the market due to ingredient quality and masterful blending. Citrus without being astringent, sweet without being cloying, floral without intruding, woody without being dense. It bridges classic and modern. Less is more: it has achieved perfection. Acqua Viva by Profumum Roma has done it.
Probably the best citrus on the market. Lots of lemon with green notes and light woods. Smells like Amalfi, the Italian countryside, and the Mediterranean. Less is more. Brutal performance and high price. If you love freshness, it’s worth a try.
Probably the king of citrus. Lemon on full blast, with green touches and soft woods. Smells like Amalfi, the Italian countryside, and vacation. As my uncle says, less is more. Brutal performance and a high price. If you love fresh scents, it’s worth a try.
Of all I’ve tried, this citrus one takes the crown. Realistic lemon without acidity, featuring green and woody nuances. Aromatic, versatile, and perfect for summer. The balance is flawless: neither sour nor cloying, and it doesn’t get tiring. No flaws, optimal performance, and above-average projection. A masterpiece that will run out of bottle.
It’s lemon, lemon, and little wood. High quality and extreme longevity, but it didn’t blow my mind or make me want to wear it all the time. I expected more. Scent: 7, Longevity: 12h, Sillage: moderate. Deliveries: it didn’t hit the mark.
Reminiscent of Lemon Line but with superior quality. In the end, it’s just a very expensive Lavaloza.
Tested from a sample. Imagine freshly ironed trousers sprayed with insect repellent and lemon floor cleaner. That’s what it smells like. They say it smells super realistic, I suppose they have a different batch.
Lemon, lemon, and more lemon. In the end, I notice woody notes. Perfect for summer and very versatile. Simple but with a very well-crafted lemon.
It’s not a floor cleaner scent as they claim; it’s a Puig sport man with 7 hours of longevity. Chimpúm.
Smells like very realistic lemon peel and stays that way. Depending on what you’re looking for, it doesn’t really grab me personally. It lacks depth; it’s like squeezing lemon zest all over your body for hours—fun but exhausting. I’d have added a touch of petit grain or bergamot to sweeten it while keeping lemon as the star. If you added a hint of Ambroxan like in Imagination or Histoire d’Orangers, it would be incredible, but it would stray from the house’s natural, minimalist vibe. If you’re looking for literally realistic, long-lasting lemon peel, this is for you.
Smells like citronela, nothing more. Ideal to keep mosquitoes away, but I’m not convinced the perfume is worth the price; it lacks character. Anyway, try it before buying. Cheers.
Smells only like citronella, perfect for keeping mosquitoes away, but it doesn’t convince me it’s worth the price. It lacks some character. Try it before buying. Cheers.
The opening is sharp, something you have to accept. Citrus scents are usually fleeting, and lasting longer requires chemical tricks or high concentrations. Once that terrifying citronela cloud fades, you’re left with a correct, balanced, and radiant lemon. It’s not as medicinal as Álvarez Gómez; it’s lighter. It’s one-note, but I wouldn’t pay the price of Profumum Roma for this.
Green lemon, fresh and sparkling, very realistic and elegant, not sweet. No marine notes. After a while, a mossy green note joins the lemon and stays until the end. It’s simple, masculine, pleasant, and fresh, with no dissonances. Good projection and longevity. You can feel the quality of the ingredients compared to cheaper options.
One of the best citrus scents I’ve tried. Loads of lemon with a sweet touch and subtle green and woody notes. Performance is above average, super refreshing for summer.
Exquisite. It opens with a sharp, fresh citrus note, then settles into a rich, woody dry-down with a very pleasant cedar.
Second review, the previous one deleted from Fragrantica for no reason. Here’s a simple scent, basically caramel-like pictolin lemon, very similar to the Alvarez Gomez cologne but with better quality. Nothing evocative and it breaks the longevity myth: on my skin it never reached three hours, even though I sprayed it generously. I never understood its popularity; it seems everyone repeats that there’s a citrus that lasts without having tried it.
The previous review got deleted for no reason, but here it is: it’s a caramel-like lemon, very similar to Álvarez Gómez but with better quality. It doesn’t evolve and breaks the durability myth; on my skin, it lasted only three hours even though I wore a lot of it. I never understood its success; it seems everyone repeats that it lasts without actually trying it.
