Tomorrow by Avon

I love it—it’s balanced and beautiful, but it’s such a shame it doesn’t last at all.

Very elegant and of incredible quality. Like its sibling Today, it opens with that gorgeous apricot note accented by black pepper and orange blossom, then dries down to delicious raspberry and patchouli. A perfect blend that has me completely enchanted.

The first time I smelled it, I was taken aback; it was my first Avon purchase and I was expecting something typical from the catalog, so I ordered it based on price without checking the notes. It’s spicy, woody, sweet, and ambered. I feel like it’s an herbal infusion or tea they used to give me when I was sick; it radiates warmth, home, and nostalgia. It’s very enveloping and highly recommended.

To start, I’m sensitive to scents and can smell them from afar, so aromatherapy works for me and I use all kinds of perfumes. This has been the most delicious one I’ve ever had! The note combination is perfect; I wouldn’t want to add or remove anything. It’s so good that just smelling it once puts a smile on my face—does that sound exaggerated? It doesn’t. It transports me and gives a sense of home. I love it. It was heartbreaking to learn they discontinued it in 2022 in Argentina and Uruguay, right when I was finally getting it through the catalog. I bought two, then tried to find another with a seller who no longer sells, but I know with that last bottle I won’t have that pure pleasure again. If anyone knows of an identical one in Uruguay, let me know.

Let me tell you something? If you want to smell like Tomorrow by Avon without spending the daily amount, look for the Flores de Cerezo (Cherry Blossom) cologne by Violetta Cosmeticos (Argenta brand). They share several notes. Comparing them (I have Tomorrow and have only used it 1 or 2 times because it’s so elegant and the coronavirus hasn’t allowed me to attend events), they are very similar. The only difference is that the Violetta cologne dries down to caramel and benzoin, so it lacks that musky, woody base of Tomorrow, but otherwise the apricot and flowers are 80% identical. There’s the shocker, folks! For anyone wanting a very similar cologne without spending the daily perfume budget.

I’m impressed by the quality, scent, and longevity. I loved it so much; it’s a sweet aroma with fine woody touches, even though the notes are peach, orange blossom, sandalwood, amber, and a light raspberry note that comes through as it develops. It leaves an exquisite trail and is here to stay in my collection. I was hesitant because I only have three Avon perfumes, and this is now my favorite. I liked it more than Today, which I had high hopes for but didn’t fall in love with like Tomorrow. A total hit; you can tell it won an award.

I love the opening of violets and orange blossoms, followed by earthy patchouli and soft sandalwood. The dry down is a sparkling yet serious and deep citrus talc. I’m not a huge fan of the initial blast, but after 20 minutes it smells a bit like Armani Code, just less annoying. Over time, the citrus sparkle fades and it becomes more woody, with dry patchouli and sandalwood. Hours later, the musk blooms—soft, skin-close, and beautiful. It’s not exactly like Narciso For Her, but it does share that lovely earthy note from the CH, though this is less woody. It’s a great success, very well done, and a steal at the price. It lasts forever.

It’s an exquisite perfume, sweet but fair. I agree with those who say it gives the same feeling as Narciso Rodríguez; smelling it reminds you of him, but it’s not a copy—they’re the same style, like two romantic songs with different lyrics. If you like Narciso, give this a try. It has two things better: the price and the fact that the opening isn’t painful or too strong.
