A worthy vetiver that keeps its woody essence from the spray to the skin, without that dark touch found in others and instead more bright, though not overdone. It starts with citrus that sets the tone, then settles into pure vetiver with an almost imperceptible musk trail. It’s unique in its class, but while pleasant, it doesn’t quite excite me. Moderate-low longevity, about 6 hours, with a faint trail after an hour and a half. Perfect for the office or spring and summer days: it smells good, but it doesn’t leave me speechless.
Based on the promised notes, I was really eager to try it, but the reality was an unexpected disappointment, especially compared to Ormonde Man from the same house, which is on another level. Zizan doesn’t smell bad, quite the opposite, it smells good, but it simply doesn’t say anything to me. It’s citrusy, green, and natural, but it ends up seeming common and lacking a hook, something I try to avoid in a niche fragrance. Also, the performance let me down, so the decant I bought won’t become a full bottle.
