I tested a decant of Vintage Radio. It didn’t blow my mind, but it’s a rich scent. It’s unisex, for men or women. Plum dominates the opening, fruity and juicy. It’s interesting because I’ve never smelled plum in perfumes before, and here it has a major role, giving it an exotic twist. Although they have nothing to do with each other, the sparkling opening reminded me of L’Interdit (2022). Both have that initial shine, but Vintage Radio is juicier and fruitier, while L’Interdit is citrusy. As it dries, I notice more palo santo, a slightly woody and resinous base combined with pepper, sandalwood, and lavender that softens it. I also sense a subtle citrus note, like bergamot, or maybe pineapple for that fruity nuance. The pepper is key for that ‘tingle’ that prevents it from being flat. Without it, I think it would go unnoticed. It’s not totally novel, but it’s pleasant. In fact, I liked it more in the dry down than at first: it becomes soft, balanced, and warm. That evolution makes it interesting, with a subtle but enveloping trail. In conclusion, it’s distinct, but I feel it’s missing something. I wouldn’t recommend it based on the hype; you have to try it before buying.
I didn’t like the bottle; it seemed childish (though I see YouTubers going crazy over the design). My first impression was indifference. But gradually, its charm reaches me. The aroma is sublime (I don’t know the comparisons). I have a fragrance, ‘Jako’ by Karl Lagerfeld, that works plum as well as here; at times it’s powdery, very exquisite. But if you add the aromatic woody notes… For now, I won’t comment on performance because I tested it on blotter and skin sharing the scent. I think its hype is justified.
Every nose is a different world. This perfume is for the bold, not invasive, but personal. Sweet juicy plum dominates, followed by delicate sandalwood and on skin, oud. It starts strong for two hours and then becomes personal, releasing bursts that remind you you’re there. It makes you feel elegant with an uncommon scent. Definitely for the afternoon diary onward.
Fruity, effeminate, well-balanced, good projection and longevity.
It smells different from everything else. It’s super versatile, maybe the one that stands out the most there; literally works for anything. But it doesn’t evolve much; it’s more linear. It opens with plum, bergamot, and lavender blending with woods. I don’t fully get the hype: it’s good, distinct, and wearable, but not the fragrance of the year. Plus, it’s pure unisex: a woman wears it well, so don’t choose this if you’re looking for something masculine. As for longevity, it’s definitely worth it; I wore it on a suit on Monday and it was still there on Wednesday. On dry skin, it’s a beast. Projection is moderate, not a beast, but it has the power to radiate about 5 feet. In short, it’s a good perfume, truly unisex, but not as hyped up as many claim.
I understand that the liquid is what matters, but as an aesthete and collector, I ask myself: are these ugly bottles really necessary? It’s called Vintage Radio and you put a drawing of an old radio on it, a flawless design. Milhouse dressed up as the Radioactive Man. Lattafa is competing with itself on ugly bottles and is winning.
I love it. They say it smells of plum and that’s the main note. Well, I smell a split plum, and it doesn’t resemble Vintage Radio, but whatever, haha. Leaving that aside, it’s sweet and woody. I’d say it’s all-terrain, although in the middle of summer the heat can overwhelm that sweetness. But it’s one of the most versatile in my collection.
It smells good to everyone without being the usual thing. I hadn’t bought it before because I couldn’t smell it and didn’t want to buy blind, but I got it very cheap now that the hype has dropped, and I absolutely loved it.
Finally tried it, arrived yesterday, and it’s DIFFERENT and very particular. They say it smells like an old man or antiquity, and it has that, but it’s not bad. It reminds me of senior homes I visited with my parents; it brings those memories. It’s a mix of dark fruits, woods, and flowers, like in the kitchen of such a house where they invite you to grab a juice, surrounded by plants, fruits, or sweet candles. The hype was insane and I like it, especially the creamy opening. I miss the dry-down; I don’t love it, it becomes dry, less juicy and sweet than the opening. Still, it evokes nice memories and is something uncommon. I’ll keep exploring it. 7.5/10.
The hype is understandable. It’s rare and easy to pick up on the first sniff. But over time, it gets boring and sounds vintage or carries that ancient DNA. There are a thousand better options, like Liquid Brun.
It’s a distinct and easy-to-grab scent at first, until I fall in love. But with wear, the charm fades; it smells very vintage—not old, but antique—and gave me nausea. I’m keeping it in my collection thinking of gifting it. I’m sure it’s the palo santo giving it that retro touch.
It’s a softer and longer-lasting version of CK Shock.
Decent fragrance, good for everyday wear and any season. It’s not and won’t be my favorite, but it’s easy to like. Reminds me of some soap or cleaning product from my past. You could buy it blind because it’s hard not to like it, but you won’t see it as a signature scent or get a thousand compliments. It does the job, lasts about 8 hours, has a decent sillage, and is a good price.
I won’t repeat what I said before: it’s sweet, old-school woods, and gives a vintage perfume vibe but is usable. I’d recommend the 20ml travel version; the bottle looks nicer than the 100ml one. Unless it becomes a signature scent, 20ml is plenty.
Very particular scent, sweet and slightly creamy plum that makes it inexplicable. Feels dry or talcum-powdered; I see it as versatile. It falls short in extreme heat or cold, but in moderate seasons, it’s a bomb. Smells niche.
I bought it and sold it the next day. It’s not for everyone; give it a try first because it smells different than expected. I hated it; I perceived it as floral and nauseating, almost like a cemetery.
I love it. On the first day, my coworker asked what it was and if I could buy him one. Warning on the sprays: four sprays are more than enough for about 7 hours.
Pleasant aroma, fresh and sweet at first due to the plum, then dries down to creamy, woody, and mature. The vintage touch comes from the dry-down, reminiscent of old perfumes. To me, it smells a lot like classic Old Spice, very typical. I give it 8/10; young kids probably won’t like the dry-down.
Maybe not for everyone, but it’s unique and very on-trend right now. It’s a juicy plum with a woody base that fascinates me. Perfect for daily wear in autumn; I got compliments and the longevity is more than acceptable.
Super woody and creamy scent with fruity notes, but it dries down to a seductive palo santo vibe. Lasts all day, from morning until you leave work. 9/10 if you’re looking for something youthful and sweet; this isn’t for you.
On my skin, it develops like Insurrection II WildReyane, a fairly similar aroma. There’s no declared tobacco, but I catch a hint from afar; it’s not aggressive, more on the sweet side. As the name suggests, it’s vintage, elegant, and projects, preferably for fall, winter, or cool nights. Semi-sweet but not cloying. I don’t think it’s a blind buy unless you know what the references smell like. I was just looking for something similar to Insurrection II, and it ended up in my hands without me intending it.
I was charmed by how pleasant the smell is; it’s very balanced. It’s not a beast mode; you need at least 15 sprays for others to notice. It projects for the first two hours but always stays in a personal bubble. I love it, though I think it’s not for everyone; it depends on personal taste. Smells very different from everything I’ve tried; I wasn’t brave enough to buy it, but it was a total win. Very good quality, and I think I’ll buy a refill.
Common perfume with a woody plum scent, nothing more. I bought it blind. No trail, no projection; you need at least 10 sprays for someone to smell you.
Not a bad smell; the only thing is it reminds me every couple of days of a herbal fruity hair conditioner or shampoo like Essence or Fructis. I smelled it before buying, and it smells different, so I’ll let it macerate for a month to see if the other notes take the lead, since the plum carries the main weight.
Dominated by the plum note, not cloying, it makes it slightly sweet and synthesizes a ‘soft’ or creamy aroma. It won’t bother anyone; it’s pleasant and enveloping. Longevity is just right and nothing more to add. It doesn’t bring anything new, won’t be my signature scent, nor a staple for my closet.
I feel compelled to edit because I rarely change my perception this much. The shift isn’t in my taste, but in the composition. After wearing it a lot, it’s not as complex as I thought; it smells more like juicy apple (though they say forest fruit) with spicy notes and a semi-vanilla base that makes it almost unisex. It’s not sophisticated, but it’s a pleasant blend. Unfortunately, it lacks projection, so it’s more for personal enjoyment and semi-formal wear.
Great perfume. At first, it smells weird and distinct, but after using it 2 or 3 times, you get used to it. Not a blind buy or a cheap pick-me-up. Has an oriental touch, maybe from the palo santo, and isn’t for summer. Better for fall, winter daytime, or cool spring days. Great longevity and projects well. 8/10.
Distinct scent with a juicy, strong fruity opening that dries down to a woody finish. Feels elegant and classy, unisex for men or women, but I’d recommend testing a decant before buying blind. Longevity and projection are decent, lasting around 1-2 hours.
Lattafa Vintage Radio. I’ve had it for over a year and loved it from the first sniff. Soft, unique aroma with plum and creamy notes. It doesn’t stand out, but it’s not bad. Ideal for daily wear in moderate seasons, not extreme cold or heat. I’ve gotten a few compliments, though I don’t think it’s for this one. Smells clean without being soapy or citrusy. Mature masculine, though a teenager could pull it off. Longevity: 6 hours, average-to-low projection. 8/10.
To be direct: exquisite, addictive scent that gets compliments. It lasts a bit less on others, but in my experience, it stands out and leaves an impressive trail. If no one tells you smell good, they’re either arrogant or something about you doesn’t vibe; if you catch that, fix it fast so you don’t dismiss wonderful scents like this. Do yourself a favor and add it to your collection; you won’t regret it.
Because no one mentions that its dry down is equal to or very similar to the Odyssey Homme from the black bottle.
A distinct perfume with incredible quality and longevity. There’s no one who doesn’t like it. Forget that it smells like grandma’s perfume. You can smell the clean plum, lavender, and woody notes of sandalwood and palo santo. I don’t know the Paragon, but this smells much more expensive than it is.
The first thing that came to my mind was: the dry down is the same as the Odyssey Homme from the black bottle. I love it. I tried it today and it will be my next purchase.
Jugoso fruity opening; you guys don’t know this, but it reminds me more of a red apple than a plum. I like the name because it has an old-school vibe, but its fruity opening gives it a balance between vintage and modern. In the dry down it becomes a bit woody, though it remains somewhat of an ‘odd’ scent. I recommend trying it first. It’s elegant and suitable for someone aged 40-45.
They offered it to me to try in the store and sprayed it on my wrist. The opening sounded too floral to me; I didn’t notice the fruit, but over time, as it dried, I started liking it more and a pleasant smell emerged from the sleeve. I couldn’t pinpoint which note I liked most in the dry down, but I couldn’t stop smelling my wrist; it reminded me of patchouli, even though it’s not listed. Maybe the oud wood made it last so long. Summary: I liked it quite a bit.
What a perfume! I’ve had it for a week and I loved it. A fragrance that steps out of the usual mold, elegant and versatile. I agree that in the opening, the apple note comes out more than bergamot, and if you smell the dry down carefully, you’ll detect an unlisted smoky touch (birch). Excellent longevity, trail without being beast mode. 9/10.
This is definitely my signature. I feel versatile, and it’s very different from what’s out there in perfumeries today. After having the Paragon 1-to-1, I confirm they are the same. Although the Paragon has superior quality, considering the price and quality of the vintage, this one absolutely crushes it.
The opening didn’t work for me, very fruity… But the dry down is identical to the Paragon on my nose. Obviously, the Paragon surpasses it in quality.
It blew my mind; I love it. It’s feminine without a doubt, fresh, with flowers mixed with creamy plum. It lasts 4-5 hours on skin. For now, the trail is more for personal enjoyment; it’s not a loud Arabic scent, it’s discreet for the office, I see it as perfect. It’s original; I wouldn’t wear it in full winter because I think it gets lost, but for autumn, it’s ideal. Very similar to Victoria’s Secret’s Very Sexy Night EDP.
Sorry, but I see that lavender as more masculine. What a rich perfume, and how it boosts your charisma! Literally, you become someone who attracts with an aura of tremendous kindness. It’s not sexy; it simply highlights your virtues. It’s the best a perfume can achieve.
