About Vetiver Pour Homme
Vetiver Pour Homme by Roja Dove is a chypre fragrance for men. Launched in 2012, this composition was created by perfumer Roja Dove himself. In its opening, the scent unfolds with a vibrant citrus accord of lemon and bergamot, giving way to a floral and woody heart where labdanum, May rose, and jasmine dance in harmony. The base reveals a complex and earthy structure dominated by vetiver, accompanied by oakmoss, cedar, cedar needles, labdanum, pink pepper, guaiac wood, white cuaba flower, pepper, nutmeg, galbanum, celery seed, and caraway.

A dignified and complete vetiver that touches on all its nuances: the brightness, the woody, and the earthy. It’s a bit of everything without highlighting anything specific. It starts with those luminous, revitalizing vetiver notes, then mutates into deeper woody and earthy tones, closing with that woody character until it fades. There’s not much more to say. Its longevity hovers around 6 to 8 hours, depending on the weather, and I see it, like most vetivers, as a daytime favorite for spring and summer, though it works in other seasons too, why not. Traditionally, it’s a men’s scent. Personally, I think there are better or much better deals on the market; in fact, there’s one almost identical to Amouage (LV), and if you love bright vetivers, you could opt for Guerlain’s, perhaps the best, or Givenchy’s, which doesn’t fall behind. For the earthy and/or woody ones, check out Mona di Orio’s and Nishane’s. Just to be clear, I’m not saying this isn’t a good perfume (it definitely is), but that there are others that offer better value for money, or that, due to their character, focus more on a specific aspect of the vetiver.
