Tumulte, now out of production, is a dry, talc-like woody scent where cedar and laurel make a great pair. Juniper adds freshness while sandalwood balances everything for a rich, nuanced finish. It’s not a complex or spectacular beast, but it’s easy to love; perfect for cold, rainy days. Rating: 5

With almost no floral presence, it smells more masculine than most I know, sticking to the old-school vibe. Some compare it to Terre d’Hermès, but I haven’t tried it to confirm or deny. In the dry down, cedar and labdanum create a resinous effect, while sandalwood amps up the woodiness; some might mistake it for shaving wax. Good longevity, around 8 hours, with low to moderate projection. It’s perfect for winter or autumn as a personal indulgence scent, though I don’t think it suits younger crowds. They say it’s discontinued—I picked it up in 30 ml at a downtown perfumery in Santiago, probably a special offer.
