Descripción
Trouble Iridescent Eau Légère by Boucheron is a floral fragrance for women. This composition, created by perfumer Olivier Cresp and launched in 2005, unfolds a scent pyramid where top notes of bergamot and water lily give way to a heart of sambac jasmine and gardenia, settling on a base of sandalwood and vanilla.

The first chill of the season makes me so happy, not just because the sticky, maddening heat is finally over, but because it’s time to pull out my favorite scents: the oriental and gourmands, those that wrap around you with tenderness and warmth, as if you’re wearing them just by smelling them. But every new day is a struggle: choosing one means the other loses its chance. It’s an irrational thought, a daily dilemma. Maybe to others it sounds like a clinical case, but among us, the passionate ones, it’s totally normal. This week the temperature dropped, so I started pulling out the ‘autumn-winter’ perfumes from the top shelf. Today I went with Trouble Eau Légère Iridescent by Boucheron, a limited-edition gem from 2005 created by Jacques Cavallier. Even though I’m not a fan of iridescent perfumes because they stain, this majestic scent makes me forgive that flaw. I searched Fragrantica, Basenotes, and Parfumo but found almost nothing: just the year, the perfumer, and some confusing notes. Here’s my take. Right out of the atomizer, it smells of ambered vanilla, slightly sparkling, neither heavy nor balsamic. Once applied, I get hypnotized: a fresh, acidic citrus opening that gets my salivary glands going. It doesn’t smell like orange, more like lemon or bergamot. It’s sweet from the start but very fresh. The acidity fades gradually without disappearing, while the amber and vanilla take center stage. It becomes creamy, sweet, but not cloying. I’ve read it has floral accords; yes, it’s possible, but I can’t distinguish specific flowers—it’s more like a bouquet soaked in vanilla and amber. The magic is that this citrus note never leaves the stage, oxygenating the sweetness and making it addictive. In the dry down, it reminds me a bit of Burberry Brit Gold, though this one is less dense and spicy. Since it’s iridescent, you have to apply it only to skin and hair, and its performance is fantastic. Maybe it doesn’t have an overwhelming sillage, but it has dreamlike quality. Thanks to this gem, now that it’s cold, I can finally enjoy it as it deserves.
