I’ve never heard of Blanch Bete, only knowing it through Lattafa’s inspiration, and honestly, it didn’t convince me. I’m a thousand times more into Morph Tonkatonic; while they share the same DNA, this one has way more projection and longevity. It’s insane how much it projects. The same goes for Disumano Morph, which outshines its Bianco Latte counterpart and definitely beats Eclaire by a mile.
While it’s true it resembles the well-known Blanche Bête, in my opinion, this new launch has a *very* almond twist that makes it different and pushes me to keep it in my collection rather than spray and forget. It has great projection, and I think the longevity will be excellent; I just opened it today and so far, everything is great. Top quality. It opens with strong almond, then coconut and white florals come in on the dry down. On the base, I smell lots of benzoin alongside tonka and sandalwood. It’s quite powdery and almond-heavy as it dries (the ambrette musk also comes through). Fortunately, the fig note isn’t noticeable on my skin, and I say this because I usually don’t like that fruit much; my nose tends to reject it. Very happy with this new proposal from the Italian house MORPH, which offers very high quality. It leans a bit more feminine and I think it would be ideal for cool or very cold climates. Now, I must note that especially on my skin, the tonka bean and almond stand out quite a bit in its final phase. A beauty 💯
