In 2014, my mom gifted my late grandfather a bottle of Ferrioni Terrier Orange purchased in Liverpool, where a coworking friend introduced him to many scents, highlighting a couple of Carlo Corintos that saw me through the quarantine, the other Ferrioni Terriers (the blue, a rich ozonic; the red, a delicious floral; the green, a fruity apple), and when I bought my dad the Terrier Blue he never wore, plus the original Versace Eros, my first perfume love. The point is: this Terrier Orange was recently gifted to me upon my grandfather’s passing (DEP!), and after 10 years, it’s back home in great shape, perfect for seeking a summer scent. Up top, rich citrus notes hit, slightly synthetic but juicy and high-quality, reminding me quite a bit of Versace Pour Homme, so I assume it has floral undertones too. I highlight a bright orange and bergamot. The fig and ginger notes are barely noticeable, while the base reveals woody accents like vetiver. It caught my attention that the drydown echoes classic 90s XS, but much lighter, fresher, and focused on citrus, unlike that aromatic bomb. As a summer perfume, we’ll see if it works, but for spring and warm autumn days, it seems excellent. Skin projection is correct at 4 to 5 hours, more than enough for its context. Blessings to all.
Back in 2014, my mom gave my late grandfather a bottle of Ferrioni Terrier Orange that she bought in Liverpool, where a friend showed him several fragrances, including a couple of Carlo Corintos that I wore during the quarantine. I also remember the other Terriers: the blue one, a rich ozonic scent; the red, a delicious feminine floral; and the green, a fruity apple. I bought a Terrier Blue for my dad, who never used it, and my first perfume love was the original Versace Eros. This Terrier Orange came home after 10 years, right when I was looking for something for summer. Upon application, juicy, high-quality citrus notes hit first, slightly synthetic but bright, with standout bergamot. I don’t detect fig or ginger, but rather a woody base with vetiver. The drydown reminds me of classic 90s XS, but lighter, fresher, and focused on citrus rather than being an aromatic bomb. It’s excellent for spring and warm autumn days; we’ll see how it holds up in summer. Projection is decent at 4-5 hours, enough for its purpose. Blessings to all.
Ferrioni Orange is a wardrobe staple perfect for everyday wear without any fuss. It smells clean and very fresh, kind of like Lacoste White but with a citrus twist that makes it versatile and more refined. It performs excellently with good projection and lasts about 6 hours without issues.
