Descripción
Colors Man Black by Benetton is a woody oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2019, this composition features an olfactory pyramid designed by the perfumer that defines a deep sensory experience. The top notes unfold the freshness of bergamot alongside the spice of black pepper and the exotic touch of nutmeg. The heart reveals a warm, earthy blend where patchouli, lavender, suede, and vetiver come into dialogue. Finally, the base notes anchor the essence with the nobility of oud wood, the sweetness of vanilla, the warmth of amber, and the softness of musk.

Colors Man Black Benetton (2019): a men’s fragrance for winter and autumn, spicy with a vanilla base. SCENT: 7.8/10. The opening is challenging, lots of pepper and dark woods, but it evolves into something more wearable with lavender, vanilla, and oud. It’s masculine, nothing unisex. QUALITY: 7.7/10. Decent notes, not synthetic, with aromatic evolution. The bottle is comfortable, cylindrical, with a powerful atomizer and a cap that holds up well. LONGEVITY: 6.8/10. Decent, about 6 hours; it behaves more like an EDP than an EDT. PROJECT: 6.0/10. It’s noticeable but not flashy; in the first hours, it has a clean, woody trail. VERSATILITY: 6.5/10. Not very versatile, ideal for winter/autumn, maybe fresh spring. It has nothing to do in summer. Looks good at work or formal events, for men over 25. PRICE: 7.8/10. Fair, can be found in Argentina for about 21 dollars or 30 thousand pesos. FINAL SCORE: 7.1/10. In summary, it’s economical and very useful for daily life in cold climates.
Excellent price-quality option. A fragrance for winter (and autumn), spicy and slightly sweet. Very much in the style of the Arabic perfumes everywhere, but more subtle. IT DOESN’T REMIND ME OF BVLGARI MAN IN BLACK AT ALL. Anyone who says it does must have smelled the perfume instead of wearing it. Between this and its little brother Black Intense, don’t hesitate, this is much better.
If you’re interested, try it first. It’s not for blind buys. Don’t get caught up in the app’s opening, which has a potency that can be intimidating; after a few minutes, it becomes very wearable and pleasant. Vanilla and leather appear, making it more refined. At first, it hit me a bit, but later I enjoy that warmth. Nothing to use it in summer. Also, its price is crazy: a good perfume for so little money.
Good fragrance, moderate longevity, and maybe it lacks some projection. It’s comfortable for the office or indoor places because it’s not overpowering. It should be clarified that it doesn’t resemble Bvlgari Man in Black, but it’s a good perfume.
When you think of a perfume that costs less than a pizza, you expect it to smell decent. But Benetton brings us Colors Man Black, something that smells great and makes you feel like you’ve hacked the system of expensive fragrances. A decent aroma for under 15 euros? This is almost a legal scam! The opening isn’t dramatic, but it keeps you alert. The spicy touch doesn’t burn, but it gives a sense of ‘substance.’ Then, patchouli and vetiver appear like unexpected friends at the party. For a moment, it deceives you: you’d swear it smells like Bvlgari Man in Black, but it doesn’t. It’s like a distant relative of luxury: it doesn’t have the same presence, but it’s charming. The dry down is the best part: oud, vanilla, amber, and musk. It becomes warm and enveloping, like a hidden gem in the cheap world. Sure, the oud isn’t sultan-level, but for what you paid, it feels worthy. The funny thing is that it disappeared for a while like an exotic treasure and now it’s back. The reality is that for under 15 euros, you get something that doesn’t pretend to be more, but makes you feel like a winner. Unbeatable value for money.
For those cold days when you want something that warms you up. This warm fragrance will make you feel cozy in a snug home for Christmas. It’s delicious.
Incredible, I can’t believe it’s this good for this price. I seriously didn’t expect something so rich.
Perfect for cold, autumnal days. No problem during the day, but I think it will stand out more at night. At first, it smells of warm spices and vanilla, sweet but not cloying. Then it settles into woods and a soft vanilla that you can really feel. I like it, and for the price, it’s worth it; plus, I hadn’t smelled it before, so it doesn’t seem overly common. As Don Juan mentioned below, it makes you feel comfortable. For the price, it’s pretty good.
What a fragrance, folks! It’s incredible, a real marvel from Benetton.
It doesn’t last long, just a couple of hours, and it fades to skin scent, even though I used over 16 sprays. The scent itself is good and high quality, but I’ll let it mature for a few months to see if it develops more.
I just bought a 06/24 bottle and can say that on my skin it lasts 6-7 hours; considering it’s an EDT, I think the performance is magnificent, and on top of that, for 13€.
The triple B: good, beautiful, and cheap. It’s a spicy, woody, and warm perfume, ideal for autumn and winter.
Quick swatch on the arm: it enters strong and heavy, with that spicy nutty touch. On my skin, it takes time to become balanced. Almost immediately, it smells like wet wood, very strong. But after half an hour, with the sweet and floral notes, it turns into a pleasure. For the price, it’s the best Benetton I’ve heard of. I tested it during the day at 30 degrees and it didn’t tire me out, although I think it’s perfect for cooler climates. Price here: 16-20 dollars.
It’s weird that they compare it to Bvlgari Man in Black; it seems they haven’t tried both because they are different scents. The truth is, they are far apart in quality and don’t resemble each other at all. If you’re looking for something similar to Bvlgari Man in Black but cheaper, better look for Spicebomb EDT.
I was fooled by the reviews and the 9-euro price at the supermarket and bought it blindly. Mistake. It smells old and gives me nausea (probably my pH, damn it). That said, it lasts forever, and if you don’t like it, it’s a torture.
The best thing you can buy for under 20 euros. Until now, I didn’t have oud; I’ve tried several from Montale, CH, Rem, Armani… and that note used to bother me. Until now, anyway, though this isn’t real oud. Benetton Colors Man Black is rounded out by both its scent and price. It’s potent and the longevity is sufficient. The opening is a blast of black pepper, then the oud comes out mixed with something sweet and alcoholic. After a minute, the pepper fades and the oud emerges; I perceive dense wood with a smoky touch. Then the smoke disappears and the woods soften, blending with the memory of the pepper. It leaves a similar (not identical) dry-down to the dry-down of Man in Black by Bvlgari, but darker. I didn’t inhale the perfume, I didn’t smoke it, and I don’t have smell issues; it’s similar, I’m not making this up. It also reminds me of marshmallow milk with cinnamon. Summer, winter, day, night… whenever you want, it’s pleasant and harmless. If you don’t overapply it, it’s not overwhelming. It smells high-quality; you’ll look like a wealthy landowner. Sure, it won’t leave anyone indifferent. A great perfume, different, and very cheap; there are many more expensive ones that can’t even compare.
I bought the Colors Man Black by Benetton on recommendation and was surprised. For being economical, the performance is good; it’s a masculine, woody, and spicy aroma that’s very pleasant. From the start, you notice dark and sophisticated tones, with wood marked by oud and patchouli, giving it maturity and elegance. Watch out, I recommend trying it first because these nuances aren’t for everyone. The longevity is medium, but its flaw is the sillage; it doesn’t project much. If it were more expansive and lasted longer, it would be a great perfume. Still, for price and quality, it’s an interesting option for anyone looking for something masculine with personality and spice.
Interesting scent, intense, sharp, and full of character. Totally recommended if it’s cold (20°C or below). As it dries down, it reminds a bit of Dior Homme Intense—not that they’re the same, but it has that very similar essence. For the price, it’s an absolute yes. Smells different and lasts quite a while.
A gem from the low-cost world. In Argentina, Mexico, or wherever you are, you get way more for what you pay. The bottle alone is unique, nothing like what you see in stores. It looks youthful and fun, but smells serious, mature, and addictive; you’ll find yourself smelling your arm more than usual. I haven’t been able to match it with any of the 200 perfumes in my collection over two years. It has something of Oud Wood or Man in Black, but they’re like different neighbors: one bald with a mustache, another tall with glasses, and this one long-haired and bearded. All from the same neighborhood but totally different. Dark, warm, sweet without being cloying, spicy, substantial, it walks in without asking for permission. I have other Benettons and they try hard, but this one is 3 or 4 rungs higher.
It’s an absolute steal for the price, offering quality you wouldn’t expect. Honestly, at first, it seemed very synthetic and didn’t grab me at all. But after a few minutes, what a difference! It becomes delicious. The scent is dark but with a sweet vanilla touch. I love it, but watch out: it’s not for everyone or every age. I see it as perfect for a guy in his 30s with style. An older man can wear it and it suits him well because of its mature vibe, but the energy is definitely that 30-year-old man. My personal opinion.
This one, I feel it’s the best in the Colors Man line. Although if you’re young, it might be a very rough and overwhelming scent, so in that case, it’s a perfume for formal occasions. Ideal for men over 25/30 years old, exclusive use for cold days and nights given how noticeable and strong it is. Longevity and price are notable; within the low-cost range, it’s one of the best, although I’m one of those who thinks it’s always better to save a bit more to invest in an Arabic perfume.
The opening is unbearable, but the dry down saves it quite a bit with a well-marked leather note. For me, it’s the nutmeg that gives it that unbearable touch, but also the character. My advice: test it before.
I tried it out of pure curiosity and what a surprise. It reminded me of more expensive perfumes like Ambre D’Alexandrie by Boucheron, Fahrenheit Parfum by Dior, or Man in Black by Bvlgari, not because they smell the same, but because they transmit that same vibe. Take my opinion with a grain of salt since I only tested it in-store. I’ve read that its performance is poor (which makes sense given the price), but I mentioned I walked around all afternoon with two sprays on my wrist, and every time I brought it close to my nose, its pleasant scent was there. Very tempted to pick up a bottle. Cheers!
Best value for money. Must-buy.
A great and very warm perfume; the oud and nutmeg notes remind you of dry wood. Be careful with application because it can get very strong. The first sprays were quite common, but after a couple of uses the accords stand out better. Tip: if you have the chance, try it in stores first, as the initial openings of a new perfume always smell like ethanol due to lack of headspace and bottle oxygenation.
The opening depends on the batch: it can be spectacular or unbearable, and lately the latter is common. However, once it dries down and settles, it’s enchanting and wearable (for some, annoying for others). It’s strong, ideal for cold climates, very woody and cool; it reminds me of my grandfather’s woodshed for winter. The most notable notes are nutmeg, suede, and oud, with vanilla closing the deal to add a sweet but not overpowering touch, which is why it’s not unbearable to wear during the day. The longevity is optimal; it’s the fragrance I’ve used habitually in winter for years, tried switching but without success, it has something special I don’t find in others. It can work well for special occasions if it’s very cold and at night, has some versatility, but it’s not recommended for summer, especially if it’s under 65 degrees. Last but very important: test before buying. It’s affordable and easy to find, and while it might be annoying for certain people, it’s better to avoid using it if you have a partner who doesn’t tolerate it. Mostly, women find it very attractive; it’s quite masculine.
Pleasantly surprised with the performance; it’s a beast. Don’t buy blindly. Ideal for autumn and winter and 100% masculine.
It’s a good fragrance, but works better at night or on cold days.
A rich, quality fragrance that lasts longer than it should for the price, no doubt about it. It has personality and is different; I notice a strong masculine vibe with a very prominent nutmeg presence (even after hours) that gives me a slight cocoa scent. In Uruguay, it’s $30 for 60ml, highly recommended for that price. I’m adding it to my collection and it has the potential to become a signature. Wearable for everyday with dark, serious outfits; not exclusive for night or invasive. Buy it to try, it’s different.
I thought it was a joke paying $17 for a 200ml bottle on sale. You get more for that ridiculous price. Perfect for everyday wear in autumn and winter, and it doesn’t perform badly at night if you don’t want to spend much. I agree the opening can be tricky, but after 5 minutes it improves significantly. The low price makes you question if it’s worth paying $100 or $200 for other perfumes when you have this gem for $20-30. Cheers!
I haven’t managed to discover what the comment group says is special about this fragrance, which worries me and makes me question if there are flaws in the batch I bought, as I simply can’t feel anything standout. I’ve encountered something very little, so I’m confused. Also, perceiving the similarity between Black and Black Intense, and having made the comparison, for now I have more to say about the second one: it feels like it’s with me. While both follow the same olfactive path, Black Intense stands out with a smoky, incense-like touch. Either way, one announces itself, while the other barely shows up without enough body. I’ll keep experimenting. With fragrances, the relationship is never easy; maybe I bought a bad batch, who knows.
A new review showing my change of opinion and satisfaction… I’ve proven it’s not just usage, but an immersive experience; sometimes you have to dive deep to find something special. After trying more applications, I discovered something new and grew to enjoy the juice. It seems predominantly spicy, preceded and accompanied by citrus. This time, I felt a rich presence soaked into one of my shirts, ideal for night. It doesn’t work well in heat or cold, but in balanced circumstances, once it has settled into you, as happened to me. It’s a juice that wasn’t easy to latch onto until I found the connection. It’s an interesting alternative I had to explore thoroughly, having been disheartened at first, but now happy since I enjoy it and it brings me pleasure. As usual, it’s designed with limits. Cheers.
Just bought it in November 2025. I picked it up at Farmatodo in Colombia for just $21 USD (91,000 pesos). Here’s my take: I bought it blind based on good reviews and it didn’t disappoint at all. The first spray seemed strong, like a stable wood… but then it changed during the dry down, becoming tolerable and pleasant with other notes emerging. It’s a dark fragrance, not for youth, serious and formal. It’s in the same vibe as my Tyger CAL Cologne Edition; they don’t smell the same, but they share that density and darkness. What I noticed is that I had to pull the trigger 8 times to smell it; I don’t know if it’s olfactory fatigue or a reformulation, but at this price, you’re swimming in perfume and there’s no reason to complain. In summary, I didn’t lose my investment and I liked it quite a bit.
I find it long-lasting. Certainly, it doesn’t have great sillage; it’s a 1-meter bubble. It’s not for everyone, nothing youthful. The oud is particular and gives it a dark touch. The Black Intense version is for night, while this one is for day, cold and cloudy weather. For the price, it’s a steal.
I tested it with two sprays on skin, and while it’s not for everyone, I liked it. The opening felt friendlier and more pleasant to any nose. As it dries down, it darkens, becomes complex, and yes, it can be shocking. I liked it, though I need to keep testing it to be sure.
I saw it at a friend’s house and couldn’t resist. Two sprays on my wrists. It has a vintage touch that’s captivating. The opening is quite alcoholic, nothing serious since it settles in minutes. At first, it feels camphoraceous, woody, with a persistent sweet accord that’s a bit sharp, until I got used to its ‘dark’ character. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blindly. Acceptable longevity with strong presence for the first hour, then it fades to skin level and leaves me wanting more.
I bought it because of the reviewer’s ‘Hola chicos…’ post, and honestly, it wasn’t anything special. It smells of pepper, cloves, and wood; some call it a steal for the price, but that’s not my case. Is it cheap? Yes. Is it worth it just for that? No. What do I do with it? I’m gifting it to my dad; it’s for adults 40+. I detect tobacco, reminiscent of CUBA PARIS. Save those $20 and buy THIS IS HIM or VOLTAIRE instead; those are on another level. P.S.: I bought the Intenso by mistake 🫠🫠.
Hi there. In short, I really like the scent. Unfortunately, longevity and sillage leave much to be desired. The vanilla is very present with that slightly weird but pleasant oud note. When I wear it, people ask what I’m wearing, which creates curiosity, but I always get compliments. Scent 10/10, longevity 7/10, sillage 6/10.
It comes out a bit alcoholic and short-lived, but within minutes it turns spicy, woody with a subtle vanilla base. It projects strongly for the first two hours and lasted perfectly 7 hours on me. For the price, it’s a gem for daily wear. Worth trying, but don’t buy blindly.
I love it because it started my collection. I can’t analyze notes, but it smells exquisite dry down and wears without issues. Its projection and longevity stand out, and the female acceptance is brutal; many women get chills from it. It’s extremely masculine and seductive.
