I grabbed it on sale and was blown away by the value; for under 500 pesos, it was a hit. At first and for most of its longevity, it smells like Coolwater, though it’s not the same nor does it try to be, but it has that clean citrus touch with a fougère base. Deep Blue adds a marine nuance that blends with a soft wood. As it dries down, the citrus returns to the forefront without losing that fougère and a little sweetness. Then the fougère and citrus fade to leave that soft wood on the skin, where the habanera adds depth alongside the cardamom; this reminds me a lot of Ed Hardy’s Hearts and Daggers. Nothing groundbreaking in the scent, but rich for hot days that will stick with you even if you’re a bit sweaty. Sillage: noticeable at 1.5 meters during the first hour. Longevity: about 5-6 hours. Age: 25 and up. Occasions: I feel it’s semi-formal or casual. It’s a clean blue fragrance at first, but dries down to something more elegant, ideal for daytime in the morning or evening in hot climates. I recommend it, yes, if you’re looking for something BBB…
