  1. On blotter paper, the citrus and wood notes really shine through, perfectly balanced by the florals. It smells like luxury and tradition, like walking into a high-end furniture store. It reminds me of a Scottish stone castle: understated luxury, no excessive frills, but with top-quality materials. I picture solid wood furniture, bathrooms with porcelain sinks and copper plumbing, and real fireplaces. I really like it, though I admit I’ve smelled something similar in men’s perfumes before, not sure which ones exactly. It’s very classic, exuding elegance and confidence. It pairs perfectly with tailored looks in brown or neutral tones for women. For men, it’s more versatile and I think it makes for an easy gift.
