The tobacco note comes out strong and lasts about an hour, with a bittering touch and cedar that evokes a cowboy in dusty jeans. Later, it becomes very similar to Le Labo: a Santal 33-style sandalwood with a subtle boozy hint. It’s not a beast in terms of projection, but it works well with its composition. Given the exorbitant price (like almost everything from Le Labo), I don’t think it’s worth the splurge; better to try a decant, look for a good dupe, or layer it with Santal 33 and T. Habanero by Rania J.

It was delicious, almost a jewel. If you like tobacco, wood, and rum, you have to own this. The downside is that in Mexico, it’s only available in September and it’s pricey. The opening smells like a fresh puro or habano (just out of the box or humidor) with a light rum touch; as it dries down, the woods emerge and the rum fades, but the fresh tobacco and woods remain. The longevity could be better: on my skin, it lasted about 6 hours, then I stopped noticing it.

  3. If you’re a tobacco lover, you need this; it’s among the best you’ll find. It’s expensive, but for me, it’s totally worth it.

I tested it on days over 36°C and it’s insane; even in the cold, it’s one of the most potent perfumes I’ve owned. It represents presence, class, confidence, and power. It has a very potent and delicious woody base. The dry-down is similar to Santal 33: smoky with that cardamomo that gives it a punch. I highly recommend it if the price isn’t an issue.
