I’m a woman and I love this perfume… the combination of yuzu and cypress is so rich… I adore it and it’s at a super affordable price.
One of the perfumes I’ve received the most compliments on; women love it here in Venezuela, it’s very popular and well-known.
It’s a classic; not one of my favorites, however, it’s fulfilling. I perceive it as fruity with green touches and some wood, very fresh.
Greetings to all experts and enthusiasts from Colombia. Thanks for this site; I’ve been reading it attentively for years. I’m passionate about perfumes, and when I read reviews, I’m convinced more that in love and perfumes, there’s no logic. The classic Swiss Army is one of my favorites (top 3). It’s jovial, musky, and slightly sweet but so soft and versatile that it works for the office, university, and the gym. Potent but never overpowering. It doesn’t remind me of any other scent and is an aroma that stays in your mind, creating a signature, and truly, my partner fell in love with its evocation on my skin. It evokes and receives a thousand compliments. I recommend it 100%. Scent: 9/10, Value: 10/10, Longevity: 9/10.
Swiss Army Victorinox is a fresh, aromatic, floral, and woody fragrance. Its opening is very aromatic and fresh, smelling of citrus and green notes like mint. A few minutes later, floral notes like lavender and geranium rise, giving it a pleasant Fougère touch; it probably carries more florals and spices, but lavender and geranium are the most noticeable. After an hour, it becomes more woody with cedar and musk; the latter adds a bit of dirtiness, but it doesn’t make it unpleasant. It’s a 90s fragrance with a common aromatic and floral composition from that decade, but it doesn’t smell old today. It’s suitable for the office or low-formality situations, plus it’s affordable and accessible to everyone. Its projection is very good for the first hour, leaving a noticeable aromatic cloud, but it drops over time until it’s skin-scent; still, it stays close to 6 hours on the skin.
Too much nostalgia in a bottle; it reminds me of my first high school crush, a teenager with dreams. One of the first fragrances any guy would own. Simply fresh, woody, aromatic, and versatile (like a Swiss Army knife, what irony…), it works for classes, the gym, or casual dates. It’s perfect for summer; it used to soften or hide sweat odor, though it didn’t work miracles. On my skin, yuzu, violet, and musk stood out. A fresh, powdery sensation, but nowadays people say it’s generic; I suppose it fell victim to reformulation, though I haven’t felt it firsthand. Maybe I’ll buy it again just for the nostalgic factor.
Honestly, it doesn’t seem that good to me and it doesn’t last at all; it’s the all-gray bottle. I expected something else.
A fragrance dominated by fresh, vibrant lavender that evokes earlier versions with better performance. While it faithfully retains its characteristic aroma, current longevity has dropped significantly. If possible, I recommend opting for the previous edition for those seeking something more durable without losing that distinct fresh essence.
I have the gray bottle, recent batch. The scent is amazing; people compare it to Davidoff Cool Water, and I own both—they take different paths. I’ve used it in this heat (38°C) and it’s delightful. The only downside is longevity; it lasts me a maximum of 4 hours, but I reapply without issues since the price isn’t a burden. Which would I recommend between Swiss Army and Cool Water? Both.
It was a gift from my girlfriend and what a gem. The scent is delicious; I wore it daily all summer and it was excellent. Very fresh, mentholated, and fruity at first, then more floral after the first hour. On my skin, it easily lasts 8h or more, so I didn’t need to reapply on my work days. The price is accessible. If you’re looking for something fresh, masculine, and for daily summer use, this is a great option. I highly recommend it.
One of the first I finished and one of the originals I bought. I remember it from elementary and middle school; it was super popular even though I knew nothing about perfumery. I’d see it on older cousins, neighborhood friends, or classmates. It smells fresh, woody, citrusy, green, masculine, clean, and serious. Ideal for any casual occasion, daily wear, school, or university, in hot or cold climates. It’s very versatile. Note: I’m not judging the batches, but it has good initial projection and fades quickly, lasting not long. Maybe others last longer or there were better batches. In my opinion, it’s worth it only if you’re looking for the scent for nostalgia, are a fan, or want something economical for everyday use.
A fragrance that doesn’t age. Charming for its green freshness and being very pleasant, masculine, and clean. Good price; you can’t go wrong with it.
My first great love in perfumes. Brings back many memories from my adolescence. I use it for both informal and formal situations; it smells manly. Although it might seem like women won’t like it, quite the opposite; my ex-girlfriends gifted it to me, and my mom brings me one from Argentina because it’s hard to find here. It smells serious, delicious, and characterful. You might think not everyone will like it, but quite the opposite; it’s very striking.
I liked it, though it’s not my favorite and I’m not sure if I’d buy it again. If you’re under 20, you might not like it. Opens with citrus, mint, yuzu, and ginger; as it dries down, the mint fades and lavender with rosemary and geranium emerges. You also note cypress and balsam fir, giving it a woody touch. It’s a modern aromatic fougère, like a barber-shop scent. If you like Nordiko soap and shaving foam, this is for you. Lasts 6h on skin with 1.5h projection and 1m trail. Bought it for 419 Mexican pesos, so it’s good for the price. Scent: 9/10, Longevity: 9/10, Projection and trail: 9/10. Now I’m in love with these scents; they make me feel great to wear.
Versatile and classic scent. Longevity: 6h (8h close to skin). Notable projection for 1.5h, then a personal bubble until the 5h mark. Soft trail for 2h. No need to reapply until the 5h. Ideal for temperate to hot weather and 100% versatile (office/school). Bought it out of nostalgia, curiosity, and good price, not necessity. Used it in college and lived some nice moments with it. Although it smells a bit ‘old man’ like shaving foam, I love it because it’s not as sweet as current trends. I was pleasantly surprised by its performance; for its type and price, I’m satisfied. Ideal for temperate weather, office (reapply), and gym. I use it for short outings and meetings; my partner loves it. I receive compliments and people say ‘That smell! I used to wear that in college.’ I really enjoy this new gray presentation.
This fragrance smells very similar to Creed’s classic Green Irish Tweed from 1985.
Citrusy lavender: fresh, clean, and sharp for extreme heat days. If you wear it around people over 35, it’ll bring back their teenage memories and make them look confused. Women will smile and cry remembering their youthful loves. It has a powerful trail but poor longevity—about 3 hours of projection, then barely an hour on skin. It’s all or nothing; you can’t mix it with anything else because it’s so sharp.
Lavender at its finest, with a touch of citrus and woods. Unisex with a masculine lean, though I see it as balanced. It’s rich; maybe not the freshest out there, but great for spring and summer. On my skin, it has no projection or trail, but it lasts a few hours. I haven’t let it settle properly yet; I’ll wait for spring to see if it improves.
An incredible scent; it was my go-to in college, just like its flanker Altitud. But like many mass-market perfumes, over time they start smelling like an ex-boyfriend or ex-wife, which is why we stopped wearing them even though they’re wonderful.
Smells almost identical to Montblanc’s Individuel; they share 7 notes. To my taste, it’s not what I expected—I was hoping for something more citrusy or green, but it’s 100% floral. It’s not bad, just not my style.
A fragrance for personal taste, soft, clean, and very rich.
Fresh but very fresh, ideal for high temperatures. Yes, the scent has changed compared to what it was 15 years ago, but buy it. Spray it a couple of times and let it sit for a few months; it will become a great summer fragrance.
My high school perfume. It smells masculine and fresh, giving you so much personality that you stand out from the rest, and you feel genuine.
My first perfume. Honestly, the aroma isn’t special, except that it’s super versatile depending on your age: from someone under 25 to a 60+ year old without sounding out of place. That fresh scent is very noticeable. Even with a modest collection, it’s incredible how I keep coming back to this old friend. For the price, highly recommended.
Well, here’s my review. I bought it for the notes and the good reviews. My first impression was that it reminded me of my dad or grandfather, but it doesn’t smell old or like a gentleman; it has a vintage vibe that’s fresh. It’s very citrusy, astringent, and acidic—perfect for summer. I was surprised my girlfriend liked it so much. I don’t know how people measure time because after a while the nose gets tired, but I wore it for 10 hours at home and my girlfriend said it still smelled. I suppose it lasts well. I see this for guys 25 and up; a high schooler probably won’t like it. It smells like a fresh, mature man, far from today’s sweet teenage scents. If you want to smell fresh, masculine, vintage, and elegant, this is the option.
As Homervg mentioned below, you have to let it macerate. At first, I was disappointed because it faded in an hour, but after letting it rest for a few months, its longevity improved noticeably. The projection isn’t beastly; it’s moderate with more than 10 sprays. Mint and lavender are the stars. It’s a great vintage barbershop scent. Very good.
I bought this in May 2023. At first, the alcohol hit hard, it was very soft, and it lasted an hour, so I put it away. Now, almost two years later, it’s improved significantly; the trail lasts about 5 hours and on the skin for 10, though there are better options today for less money. Three Nuit by Armaf is very similar but more powdery and longer-lasting. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you can find it dirt cheap, but for 50 dollars, you’re better off looking elsewhere.
This has been my perfume of choice since I entered adulthood. Although a trained nose might not see it as innovative or standout, for me it’s wonderful because it transports me straight back to my college days. It’s evocative in a way no other scent in my collection is, so it’s a must-have.
Uuu!! What a clean, clean, clean fragrance. This is the ultimate scent for a high school or college student, or an adult on a Sunday barbecue or family outing. It smells like lavender, soap, and mint—energetic, powdery yet sweet like Le Male, and a bright green fougère without any moss, vanilla, or heaviness. Is it current? Yes. It lasts about 7 to 8 hours.
It seems like a rich, simple, and fresh fragrance. That’s about it. I recommend it more for work or the office than for other occasions. Due to the freshness from the menthol note, I recommend it more for spring-summer days. When I used it, I pictured myself in a forested area with pines around, perhaps due to the aroma conjured by the lavender and amber notes combined. If I could rate it from 0 to 10 considering presentation, scent, longevity, projection, and versatility, I’d give it a 7.5.
I tried the Sport version of this Victorinox yesterday and was blown away by the value and projection, but the original fell short. It’s not a bad fragrance, but it barely lasted two hours—nowhere near Creed Aventus. They share some notes but smell completely different. What it does remind me of is Kaiak by Natura; Kaiak is sportier and fresher, while this Victorinox feels more intimate. If you want to project, don’t overdo it, but at 300 pesos, the bottle is worth it to layer a bit. (8/10)
A very rich scent, but it has been reformulated and doesn’t last. Very, very little longevity.
In my top 5, this fragrance is in third place. It definitely smells citrusy, but behind that lies a forest full of life. I think the key is the ginger, yuzu, fir, and geranium. I love that fresh scent it leaves on clothes the next day; I think it has a lot of sporty personality, perhaps informal. I don’t think there’s another one like it, except the Sport version which has the same base but is less citrusy and simpler, though it remains an interesting alternative.
After trying several clones that weren’t equal to this, I finally tried the classic Swiss Army from ’97. It’s fresh, aromatic, and citrusy; it combines best between yuzu, lavender, cypress, and the lemon leaf accord. Although its longevity is 1 to 3 hours depending on usage, it’s ideal for all types of weather. If they had added pine, mountain air, or peppermint, it would have combined better than the yuzu.
I use it for the gym and on those summer afternoons when the heat is at its peak. The opening is pleasant; I feel mostly the mentholated part with a cryptic base that keeps it fresh. Then the green notes take the lead, and in the end, it smells like wet earth after rain. It’s so clean it borders on formal, has personality, and I like it.
Ideal for heading into the woods on an adventure or for travel; it’s spectacular. It works well in both warm and cool climates. This perfume expresses masculinity, rigor, and confidence. I recommend not using it every day so it keeps that special touch.
It smells good, which is why it’s become a classic, but it’s nothing special. The scent is forgettable, elegant, casual, fresh, and woody, but ultimately it fades from memory. Like its razors, it’s a multi-use lotion you can use anytime, but it’s not perfect for any specific occasion.
A classic that should always be in my collection. It’s citrusy, green, fresh, yet elegant, ideal for any occasion. It’s gotten very affordable now. In my experience, the new batches need time to mature; after 2 or 3 months, they hit the exact scent of the mid-2000s. Totally worth it for the price.
I tested a bit on my wrist and it’s a masterpiece: classic and full of history, yet it holds up incredibly well. At first, it smells like lemon and freshness with those green notes, and as it dries down, the mint leaves you with a total clean feeling. It’s excellent for daytime wear, though when I smelled it, I thought it was elegant enough for night and stood out with those greens. The price is a steal, even though I haven’t gotten it yet. I’d use it occasionally to break up my sweet perfumes. Highly recommended if you like mint and citrus; you’ll feel fresh all day.
I bought it blindly and I like the citrus opening; it smells like pine and green, but it has a very strong mint note that lasts forever. I definitely won’t buy it again, though it’s not bad and whoever uses it doesn’t have bad taste. In fact, I’ve gotten many compliments, especially from women, saying I smell like a man. I’ve even approached groups of girls, and they turn around to see who smells so good. It’s very masculine, classic barbershop style; the trail is good but the longevity isn’t the best. Yes, it works for the office.
