  • I’m writing this review mostly out of habit, out of a need for perfumes, and because I’ve had a cold for a week that blocked my sense of smell: I really miss it. And today I remembered this little great perfume. Note that Cuba Black Prestige seems like a tribute made specifically for lovers of Cool Water and similar scents. If you consider yourself one of them, you should get Black Prestige almost as a matter of principle. Otherwise, better to skip it. It seems like a cross between Cool Water, Green Irish Tweed, and Victorinox. It has a bit of each: that bubbly, green, refreshing, and youthful sensation, without dismissing a certain sweetness. Ideal for feeling clean, alive, and elegant: the perfect balance. Moderate sillage, good longevity, and a truly unbeatable price.

  • I love this perfume; for its price, it’s a steal. It smells to me like freshly washed clothes with lavender, and it’s no insult to the fragrance. It feels like bubbly, refreshing lavender. Perfect for winter!

  • I bought it blindly because of the striking packaging and unbeatable price. I love it; the opening is surprisingly good for the cost. The alcohol fades in minutes, and then the lavender stands out, balanced with hints of mint, pepper, and jasmine. It’s fresh, very masculine, and strikes a perfect balance between classic and modern. It’s pure beauty regardless of the price. Lasts 8 hours without issues, projects well for the first hour and a half, then settles nicely on the skin. Smells great, and when people notice it, they ask if it smells good. After that first hour, it’s discreet but charming if someone takes the time to sniff it.

  • Another perfume I bought blindly because of the eye-catching packaging and unbeatable price. I don’t know what’s going on with this fragrance, but I absolutely love it. The opening is surprising for the price; the alcohol only lasts a few minutes. Once dry, the lavender stands out, followed by the mint doing its thing, then the pepper and jasmine balance everything out, creating an inexplicable sensation. It’s a fresh, very masculine aroma with a perfect balance between classic and modern tastes. It’s beauty without considering the price. Longevity: 9, easily reaches 8 hours. Projection: 6, quite good; for the first hour and a half, it projects to about half a meter, then it stays close to the skin and is only noticeable when moving or brushing against clothes. Scent: 7, very good. Reactions: 8, it doesn’t draw much attention, but when someone smells it, the reaction is ‘mmm, do you smell that delicious perfume?’. After the first hour and a half, it’s hard to notice unless someone is very close, but when they do, they love it.

I don’t understand the purpose of this perfume if the Swiss Army is already quite cheap and accessible. Why make a copy if it doesn’t improve performance? From what I’ve seen, it doesn’t.

  • Something weird happens with Platinum and Black; it’s like I get olfactory fatigue quickly or my sense of smell is affected by some component. I should add that I didn’t like Platinum, but I love this one, and a lot. It’s a hit: mentholated, soapy, and super pleasant for any season, especially in the mornings. It’s very balanced; the mint isn’t overpowering, and while it’s not excessively classic, it stands out from current trends. It also gives us the ‘made in Cuba Paris’ accord of pepper, oakmoss, and tobacco, leaving that spicy, dry aroma I love so much in other perfumes from the house, like Cuba Red. Longevity on my skin is about 3 hours at best, but don’t take that as absolute truth, as it lasts longer on other skin types. The best part is that you should try it and draw your own conclusions. • With Platinum and Black, I notice something odd, as if my nose gets saturated quickly or some component affects me. Although I didn’t like Platinum, I really like this one. It’s a fantastic mentholated, soapy scent that’s super pleasant for any season, ideal for mornings. It’s very well balanced; the mint isn’t overpowering. It’s not excessively classic but moves away from current trends, adding that ‘Made in Cuba Paris’ accord of pepper, oakmoss, and tobacco, with that spicy, dry touch I adore in other perfumes from the house like Cuba Red. Lasts about 3 hours if you’re lucky, but don’t take that as absolute truth; try it yourself. For more reviews and photos, check out my Instagram JL_Perfumado or YouTube Perfúmate Con JL.

What a great surprise this Cuba Prestige Black was! I don’t usually import packaging, but these are made very well here. As a user, you feel important because they care about the details: a clean metallic box and a heavy bottle with a cap like a Havana cigar. The fragrance doesn’t overshadow the Swiss Army Victorinox, but it’s a simpler, more affordable alternative without losing quality. It starts fresh and mentholated, accented with a floral note that sweetens without being too spicy. In the dry-down, the lavender and cilantro are noticeable without losing the freshness. The base moss is well-crafted and pleasant alongside the smoky cedar. It’s not elegant or trying to be; it doesn’t seek attention but aims to delight you with a fresh, clean, modern, masculine, and aromatic sensation. It’s simple and a bit artificial, but it’s a joy to wear. Longevity and projection are low, but the quality-to-price ratio is excellent. Worth it to reapply with a couple of sprays every now and then.

What a great surprise with this Cuba Prestige Black! I don’t usually pay much attention to packaging, but these are well-made: you feel important with the neat metallic box and the heavy bottle with a cap made of tobacco leaf. It doesn’t overshadow the Victorinox, but it’s a simpler, more affordable alternative to Cool Water without losing quality. It starts fresh and mentholated, then nuances with a floral note that sweetens without being too spicy. As it develops, the lavender and cilantro are noticeable without losing freshness. The base moss is carefully crafted, pleasant with its cedar and musk foundation. It’s not excessively elegant or trying to grab attention; instead, it delights with a fresh, clean, modern, masculine, and fragrant sensation. It’s simple and a bit artificial, but it’s a joy to wear. Longevity and projection are low, but the quality-to-price ratio is excellent. Worth it to reapply occasionally.

  • To be honest, the Cuba Paris perfumes deliver on the 3Bs. Prestige Black was a double birthday gift, and I loved it from the very first moment. Upon application, it smells like green mint and cinnamon—fresh and delicious; then the lavender kicks in, which I absolutely adore. There’s a moment (1-2 minutes) where it dries down to smell metallic, but afterwards, it settles into a masculine woody scent. It’s a daytime fragrance, perfect for summer, though I use it in winter because I prefer its performance and already have something else for hot weather. Everyone loves it; I’ve received compliments at university, from family, and from my girlfriend. It’s one of the pricier ones in the house, around 500-600 MXN for 90 ml, whereas others cost 300 MXN for 100 ml. I like the bottle and the box, but the spray nozzle is very small. My dad uses Victorinox Classic, and it doesn’t remind me of it at all; Black Prestige feels more versatile to me.

Cuba Paris perfumes deliver on the 3Bs. Prestige Black was a birthday gift twice, and I liked it instantly: it’s pure green mint and cinnamon, fresh and delicious, then lavender kicks in, which I absolutely love. There’s a moment (1-2 minutes) as it dries down where it smells metallic, but afterward, it leaves a masculine woodiness. It’s a total day lotion, perfect for summer, though I use it in winter because I prefer its performance since I have another for hot weather. Everyone likes it; I’ve received compliments at university, from family, and from my girlfriend. It’s one of the ‘more expensive’ ones from the house, 500-600 MXN for 90ml, while others cost 300 MXN for 100ml. I like the bottle and box, but the atomizer is very fine. My dad uses the Victorinox Classic, and I don’t care for them; Black Prestige feels more versatile.

  • It’s a pleasant fragrance, although it lacks projection, intensity, and longevity. But considering how affordable it is, I have no complaints.

Honestly, I didn’t expect this surprise. I tried it once in a store, but the price and the strong alcohol opening put me off. However, after researching online, I saw it smelled like Bleu de Chanel, so I ordered this from Cuba because it claimed better performance. The first time wasn’t pleasant; strong alcohol opening and very sweet. After 30 minutes, it started smelling incredible, and I thought it couldn’t be true. The second time, I used 8 sprays, and it was sensational. For me, it’s a flat, complete scent from start to finish; maybe it mixes everything it claims, but it smells great for 8 hours on skin and 24 on clothes. Ideal for all ages, except teenagers under 15. It’s super versatile: day, night, going out, work, gym, university… and at this price, you can use it without fear.

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting that surprise. I tried it in-store, but the price and the harsh alcohol opening put me off. However, seeing online reviews that it had the best performance from Cuba, I bought it along with their Coolwater. At first, I didn’t like it—it was very alcoholic and sweet—but after 30 minutes, it started smelling incredible. The second time, I used 8 sprays and it turned out sensational. To me, it smells exactly as described: a flat, complete accord lasting 8 hours on skin and 24 on clothes. Ideal for all ages, except for teenagers under 15. It’s super versatile: day, night, work, gym, university… and given the price, there’s no fear in using it.

  • I don’t recommend it if you’re from Chile, because it smells exactly like floor cleaners like Poet and similar brands. The scent might be liked elsewhere, but here, cleaning brands use that exact smell. And believe me, walking around smelling like a floor cleaner is not a good idea.

  • Don’t recommend this if you live in Chile; it smells exactly like floor cleaners like Poet. The scent might be fine elsewhere, but here, cleaning brands use that same note. And trust me, walking around smelling like a mop bucket is not a good idea.
