Descripción

Starwalker by Montblanc is a woody-spicy fragrance for men. Launched in 2005, this composition was created by perfumer Michel Almairac. At its opening, bamboo intertwines with the freshness of bergamot and mandarin; the heart reveals a white musk accompanied by sandalwood and cedar; while the base leaves a warm trail of ginger, fir resin, nutmeg, and amber.

A good fragrance for daily wear in spring/summer. Clean, fresh, and not heavy at all. Pleasant scent and moderate longevity. For the price it has, honestly, you can’t ask for more. It’s perfect for daily use.

A very special fragrance for me; it was a gift from my father for my birthday and my first perfume, my entry into this beautiful world. A totally fresh and exquisite scent, a winning fragrance. With 8 sprays, it lasts 5-7 hours on my skin. The trail at the beginning is very good; it can fill a small room in the first 20-30 minutes, then it fades and becomes moderate, not spreading much. I totally recommend this unique perfume; exquisite scent and it meets the triple B: good, beautiful, and cheap.

My latest acquisition in May 2025. What I say after my first day of use: I put on 4 sprays at 8 am, and it’s 2 pm and I still have the scent intact, maybe without leaving a trail, but I smell Montblanc Starwalker from 8 am. Conclusion: don’t let yourself be swayed by comments from others, try the perfumes and draw your own conclusions. PS: Today it’s less than 10 degrees, looks like a winter day.

I bought it at Falabella and expected much more from the fragrance. Almost zero sillage, pleasant scent, I have to spray it 10 to 15 times to be able to smell it.

  • Pabloufum

Super pleasant scent. The bamboo note is quite noticeable. It smells green, aquatic, and soft. If you’re looking to stand out, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for something to wear around the house and feel fresh, this Starwalker could work well for you.

The holy grail of affordable scents: Montblanc Starwalker. For me, it captures that iconic Chanel Allure Homme Sport note with its own character. It’s a symphony of white woods that feels clean and luminous, with a slightly talc-like touch that adds sophistication without being heavy. It’s incredibly versatile, perfect for daily wear, a casual outing, or something more formal. If you’re looking for something elegant, fresh, and with solid performance for the price, it’s an excellent choice. My rating: 7.5/10.

I don’t get the hate against this perfume. I was looking for a summer signature and tried Le Beau EDT, Armani Code EDT, and Club de Nuit (didn’t like it), even Dylan Blue which costs more than double. Except for that Arabic scent, this was the one that lasted the longest on my skin and clothes. I don’t know if I got a good batch or if it’s just my skin, but it lasts the whole day with 8 sprays.

  • Delicious. I got tons of compliments at the office; pity that the longevity is short when I live in a city with lots of heat and humidity. In cold weather? I’d have to try it to see.

Starwalker is a safe and discreet fragrance, ideal for anyone wanting a clean, fresh scent without complications. However, its simplicity and short longevity make it unmemorable. A good option for formal settings or warm weather, but not for standing out.

  • If you combine minimalism and elegance, you get this. Montblanc Starwalker is an exquisite scent that evokes richness without drawing attention; it’s not for sillage, it’s for private enjoyment. Upon leaving, you notice the citrus and bamboo notes, and in the heart, that clean, creamy woodiness. It’s curious that people talk about longevity; maybe the projection isn’t incredible, at most an hour, but the personal scent lasts quite a bit. It’s a scent that accompanies you without calling attention. The price is good; the only downside is that poor fixation and projection. I consider this a scent for daily wear or enjoying in warm climates, mainly during the day. Projection: 3/10, Longevity: 6/10, Scent: 9/10, Versatility: 6/10.

  • Personally, I love it… it’s a striking aroma, especially at the office surrounded by people who only know Perry Ellis or Nautica Voyage. It doesn’t last long… it’s a shame, but for the cost, it’s very well worth it, and you just need to reapply. I understand it’s discontinued, so if you see it, buy a couple of bottles.

  • matyvaskez

A fragrance that offers very good quality for the price. The aroma is somewhat mature, sweeter, and mineral, almost metallic, very effervescent. Very good. Longevity is scarce on my skin: I can’t perceive it after 3 hours, with a moderate projection of about 1 hour. It’s very versatile; I’d even use it in autumn if it’s not too cold. I gifted it to my dad because I feel it’s more his style and he’ll enjoy it more than I do.

  • AntonioJose97

Bought blind after seeing YouTube recommendations, it has a pleasant scent but isn’t worth the purchase. Its longevity is abysmal; sometimes you don’t even feel like you’re wearing perfume an hour after applying it. For a bit more money, there are much better options.

  • Although it has a lot of hate for its longevity, on my husband it lasts 6 hours, and applying it to clothes is a marvel: a masculine, refined, and effervescent scent that boosts your mood after a shower. It saves you for any occasion. I imagine some skin pHs don’t retain it, but if you don’t want to overwhelm people, it’s a must-have all-rounder. Keep a decant in your pocket and reapply. We paid the price of a Versace Eau Fraîche and got the same performance, and by the way, both are delicious.

  • elunicomonti

Generic in a good way: it won’t turn heads, but you’ll smell very pleasant. It’s ideal for school, office, gym, or home. It lasts long enough for its composition and price, but don’t expect high projection. It was hyped up, and I think it’s not worth all the noise, but it’s not bad. It’s excellent if you’re looking for a serene aroma.

  • I tried it once and liked it. I bought it for work knowing it didn’t last long, but since I only work half-days, it was fine. Although the opening is rich, it lasts a breath and over time becomes too talcum-like, which I don’t like and hasn’t generated positive comments. It has no trail or projection, but it’s okay for the office. I don’t know if it’s the batch, but I wouldn’t buy it again; in Argentina, it’s not that cheap. I give it a 6/10.

  • The scent is spectacular and has that soapy base I love. It’s fine for everyday wear, but in warm or temperate climates, its performance is terrible; it lasts very little. Maybe it’s worth it in cold weather, although it smells like a ‘blue’ fragrance and feels more like a summer scent. I don’t see a problem with wearing it in the cold, but longevity is the key.

  • GarciaJorge03

A fragrance gem, one of my favorites for everyday wear or the gym. The scent is rich and easy to enjoy, making you feel fresh and clean. I always heard some fragrances made you feel freshly showered and didn’t understand until I tried this, and it’s exactly that. My wife always likes it when I wear it. Although it’s not the best in longevity, reapplying doesn’t hurt for the price. I don’t think it’s the one that gets the most compliments, but honestly, it doesn’t matter; I just enjoy its scent on me.

  • It smells clean, with a soapy touch and a citrus base. But its performance is terrible: in summer, it evaporates immediately and doesn’t even last an hour. Honestly, it’s not worth it even if you spray a lot.

  • Starwalker by Montblanc screams cleanliness and freshness with a touch of sweet lavender. It’s for ‘good boys,’ young people, and those with a formal, classic style. My issue is that its contained energy makes me feel anxious. 😂 Maybe I’m not a ‘good boy,’ but it’s definitely not for me. Cheers.

  • After three months, this perfume has revealed new facets to me. It starts with a fresh blue air, like green water, where bamboo plays a key role. Then it turns woody, and as it dries, it smells clean, almost talcum-like—I guess due to the musk; I didn’t notice it before, but now I do, probably because of the maceration. Unfortunately, the longevity and projection are short. Only my girlfriend notices it because she gets closer. With 6 sprays (2 on my sleeves, 2 on clothes), it lasts about 4 hours, then it fades to skin scent. It’s not a beast mode, but you can smell it from a couple of meters away. It depends on skin pH. It’s great for a starter scent, I love it, and at $30, it’s a gem.

A while ago I trashed this fragrance in another review that I won’t delete, because that one showed the error of judging too quickly. I’d used less than half a bottle and was unfair. Finishing the bottle today, my perception changed. Performance: it’s true it has low longevity and projects intimately, something I now value more. Scent: citrusy, woody, fresh, and clean. Brief moments of bright, refined citrus (hard to find at this price), then soft, pleasant woods until the end in about 3 hours. It’s a simple, flat, gentle, and pleasant scent, nothing loud. That simplicity gives it a serene and soft charm. At this price, I doubt there’s a better option for small offices in spring and summer. The poor performance is relative: 1) it’s citrus-woody for warm weather, none last long; 2) the price is low, you can’t expect more; 3) subjective preference: I learned to appreciate fragrances with less longevity and projection because in crowded spaces they are friendly and considerate, leaving a good impression. Plus, on specific days it allows me to change scents by noon. For those with large collections, it’s sensational to enjoy several scents in one day. Here’s my reconciliation with this good fragrance.

  • Today I tried Versace Eros Homme and it reminded me a lot of this one’s base. Although Starwalker has more pepper and wood. It’s a clean, people-pleasing perfume. It doesn’t project or last long.

  • I’m not sure if I have basic tastes, but this fragrance seemed very interesting and different from what I used to wear. I wore it as a daily; I think it’s the bamboo note in the opening that hooked me, that fresh and clean smell many have but this one stands out. It’s simple and fresh, well-executed. Performance is another story: it projects well for the first 2-3 hours and then fades. For the price, I think it’s fair; you can reapply. I stopped using it months ago, but I plan to return next summer.

  • To me, Starwalker is one of the best perfumes for extreme heat. It’s simple, clean, and elegant, but in a friendly, fresh way that everyone likes, for any age or situation. It feels like smelling freshly showered, taken to the extreme. If you want to be perceived as impeccable, this is the one. My favorite fresh scent.

  • JohnLecter86

It’s good, no need to overthink it. Perfect for the office: clean, masculine, and professional scent that no one dislikes. Worth having. I might recommend it as a signature scent because of the price.

  • Jeronimoposadag

Honestly, I wear it for the gym or school, but it works great for everyday wear and the office too. It smells good and does its job.

  • PedritoPower

I have a soft spot for it because my grandma gifted it to me. It smells amazing, but the only downside is the longevity, which is ridiculously short, like two hours. The hype doesn’t do it justice.

  • I’ve gotten lots of compliments, but longevity isn’t its strong suit. I don’t love such citrusy openings, so I stopped using it, but if you adore citrus, you’ll love it. Just reapply, and for the price, it’s a great deal.

  • MarsonFergiela12

My first perfume since I got interested in perfumery. Crisp, fresh, light, and easy-to-please aroma; it doesn’t leave you looking bad. I see it as youthful but it also works for the office; it doesn’t bother anyone and can get you some good compliments. The weak point is longevity and sillage: it lasts about 3 to 4 hours, at most 5, but very close to the skin and projecting only during the first two hours. To conclude: if you’re looking for something everyone will like, with a good price, that won’t bother anyone and suits informal situations, this is a great option.

  • I picked up a 2ml decant for $5, my second try at Montblanc, and now I get the hype. It’s perfect for sunny days; the bamboo opening makes it unique in my collection and earns points. On skin, the bamboo and cedar blend is well-balanced. It’s super easy to wear, smells like Clinique Happy on clothes, and I’d buy the bottle. Rating: 7.7/10.

  • Dani&Sandy8788

Clean, fresh, and charming. Its weak point is longevity, but it’s a recommended perfume to buy blind because it’s easy to like. Although it has a resemblance to Versace Eros Fresh, this one has a more sophisticated scent.

  • I was gifted a 75ml tester for my birthday and finally gave in to try it after years. The aroma is delicious, a gem, the quality is very good, and the bottle matches the cap perfectly. The only downside is longevity, but since the price is economical for this quality, you just reapply and you’re good. It’s fresh and summery; people who smell it like it because it’s very pleasant. In my case, it lasts about 4 hours, with an hour being quite strong. The resemblance to Natura’s Urbe isn’t as big as they said; there’s a style and an air, but they aren’t the same. Both have medium/low performance, and nowadays with how expensive Natura is and the reforms they’re talking about, I think the Montblanc is the better deal.

  • Nachoman2406

One of my first perfumes in the collection, I got it from Andrés Perfuman. Although it’s not that long-lasting, I understand it works for what it’s made for. A rich, crisp, and attractive aroma; my wife loves it.

  • I feel love and hate for this fragrance. I came for the reviews and loved it instantly upon trying it, but it’s a shame that its performance is so poor; in summer it doesn’t last even half an hour, and I have to apply more than 15 sprays for anything to stick around. I’m not interested in it being a beast mode, but at least it should last a couple of hours on the skin. However, it’s one of the perfumes that can’t be missing from any collection.

  • Nomedejacrearlacuenta

This was my second good perfume, in this case an EDT. It smells rich, clean, and pleasant; neutral but formal with a good vibe, something I could wear every day. It’s excellent, but the downside is longevity: it lasts very little, I don’t even feel the scent, and it’s not due to olfactory fatigue; it stays way too close to the skin. It is rich and your partner will enjoy it, but it’s not for receiving compliments or for ‘making people notice you smell good.’ If it’s on sale for 20k or less, I wouldn’t pay more.

  • Don’t fall for the hype trap. Even though it’s available at a good price, it’s rich but… it doesn’t last at all. It’s a gym fragrance or something to wear while running errands at the supermarket, and that’s it. There are many better options in my opinion.

  • What a fresh, crisp, and wonderful scent. When I wear it, I always convey cleanliness and seriousness without losing my cheerful vibe. Its only Achilles’ heel is longevity, but everything else is pure gold.

  • Daniel Henderson 77

A very pleasant, simple, fresh, and clean perfume. Ideal for wearing with a well-ironed white shirt in summer or to the office. It’s a fragrance that isn’t a bomb but delivers and pleases. Plus, it reminds me of my dad; it’s a scent he would have worn without hesitation. It lifts your spirits, and you can smell the bamboo and ginger without them being aggressive; everything is very soft. Highly recommended, I’m already thinking about buying another bottle because mine is running low.

  • If you decide to try the original tester, you’ll see the sticker details the notes: top of pink pepper and star anise, heart of sandalwood and cedar, and base of amber and musk. The scent is clean, crisp, and has a watery touch, though it doesn’t use calone; instead, it relies on woods and musk as the label says. It’s relaxing, not intrusive, and brings to mind a cold morning or a spotless office.
