Emper's Stallion 53 is an oriental fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2024, this creation features an olfactory pyramid that opens with cardamom and violet as top notes. Very tasty, smells like tereré with lots of herbs.
I’ll just say it’s an atomic bomb of perfumes. A perfume you’ll have for days and days. Much better than Santal 33, although for me, comparing it to Stallion 53 is a disrespect; it’s like comparing a baby to a professor in terms of studies. It has phenomenal cardamom with citrus notes and to finish, an exquisite sandalwood base. Everyone who smelled it told me they loved it; some even asked me to buy it for them. Highly recommended. Just be careful not to over-spray.
What a wonderful fragrance. I heard it was the best Santal 33 dupe, but by god, this blows minds on a rainy day. Forget it, it’s intoxicating, magical, and sexy. Only thing left to say is that it’s unique, but I’m sure with the years it will become a great signature fragrance. You pay little and get a lot. 10,000 out of 10… Lots of compliments.
Stallion 53 seems like an exquisite fragrance. Even if it’s a dupe or clone, this DNA is striking; that wet wood smell reminds me a lot of a carpentry shop where wood is being cut, with incredible realism. The price-quality ratio is excellent, it lasts and projects quite well, and it’s very pleasant. Although they say it’s unisex, for me, it’s much more masculine. It’s not a blind buy, but if you want to add something different to your collection, this is one of the recommended ones.
I’ve been disillusioned with perfumery in general for a while, but the truth is I stumbled upon this Stallion and for me, it’s a 10/10. The scent is very good, maybe not the performance as much. I also tried Bharara Viking Kashmir (which also clones Santal 33) and found it more potent.
Very similar to Santal 33; if left to rest for a month after opening, its longevity improves quite a bit.
At first, it smells like a wet pine forest and freshly cut wood. As it dries, it becomes more pleasant with cardamom, amber, iris, and a sandalwood base; super masculine. I’ve received many compliments, from both men and women. The trail feels much more pleasant than on the skin; it’s one of those perfumes that leaves a heavy trail. Longevity is excellent: mine has been macerating for 5 months and lasts at least 8 hours on skin, several days on clothes. It’s one of those perfumes where you feel it when you move. If you like woody and masculine perfumes, this is for you.
Definitely a fragrance that doesn’t go unnoticed. It’s light, elegant, and sophisticated, ideal for any occasion. Its leather and wood notes combined with violet and iris make it spectacular.
Purchased an Emper discovery set with Stallion 53, Ilang 62, The Black 92, and Captcha 36. All four are fantastic. The set smells a bit hippie or hipster—herbal, floral, woody, and fresh, evoking characters from that era. Stallion 53 is woody from start to finish; the opening violet reminds me of Afnan’s Rare Carbon, with notes of sandalwood and leather. Ilang 62 is herbal-floral, almost cannabis-like when dry; it seems feminine at first but hardens into a masculine scent as it dries due to that note. The Black 92 is super potent; it seems light but smells of sweet fig, cedar, and vetiver, with tobacco appearing at the end (and on clothes, needless to say). Moderate projection for over 4 hours; at 8 hours, it’s on the clothes and projecting beyond. CAPTCHA 36 arrived spilled due to heat, and even after nearly a month, it still smells in the box. Same performance as the others. All have similar power and longevity, over 8 hours on skin, with the last two clinging to the skin. On clothes, they’re noticeable until the next day.
Great perfume. For under $25, you get an excellent way to smell like Santal 33 without spending what the original costs. It’s a creamy, woody scent that grabs attention and leaves no one indifferent. As it dries, on my skin, it leaves a drier woody note that gives it a very rich masculine touch. Lasts very well, about 7 or 8 hours. Comes with a 20ml atomizer for transport and reapplication if needed. Scent: 7/10. Longevity: 7.5/10. Projection: 7/10. Recommended.
Bought it for the reviews and notes; I’ve tried several wood fragrances, but this is another level. It’s a great perfume with good projection and longevity, and it even comes with a 20ml decant. However, it doesn’t suit me at all at 20; it smells like a forest after rain or chopping a wet log. Great perfume, but don’t buy it if you’re young.
Bought it blind because the sandalwood intrigue was intriguing and the deal was tempting. I’m not an expert on notes, just sharing what I felt upon spraying. On my skin, it reminded me of Maison Alhambra’s Opulence Leather (which I have in a decant); perhaps less intense but with a similar DNA; scents that don’t quite convince me. On my skin, it smells like shoe leather with tar, very strong, which later transforms into something like fuel with a sweet touch from the amber. These are difficult scents to wear; I know others love them, but not me. The good thing is it lasts forever: I sprayed it at 8 PM one day and by 1 PM the next day, I could still smell it close to the skin, which is when I like it best, because the gas station smell was gone and left a rich floral sweetness when pressing my nose against my arm. It seems very masculine due to that strong leather. I’ll test it on the women around me to see what they think. I’ll leave it on the shelf for a while to see if it changes; for now, I can’t see myself wearing a perfume that smells like a gas station.
Like Santal 33 but less creamy, slightly more synthetic, yet much longer-lasting with impressive projection. Emper really nailed it.
Reformulation? I bought the set with 100ml, a 15ml travel size, shower gel, and facial wash, and what a disappointment. On skin, it smells like diluted whiskey in water; no projection, no scent, and it vanishes in minutes. Nothing like the hype. I’ll keep it for a few weeks to see if it improves.
Despite the good reviews, thank God I tested it—it’s a fiasco. Smells like very faint leather with no evolution, an alcoholic opening, and terrible projection. At one point, it reminded me of Maison Alhambra’s Galatea, but weaker and lacking that potent synthetic raspberry. Don’t buy blind; stop following influencers; the real experience can be the opposite of the hype. I don’t smell sandalwood, just leather; it lacks that creamy woody vibe.
Excellent perfume; the Emper house never misses. Just note it’s for men over 40, very masculine. Lasted 8 hours on skin and over 24 on clothes (with 8 sprays). Not for everyone; don’t buy blind. My girlfriend loves it; I put it on her with lotion for a lustful night, and it’s amazing.
SPECTACULAR. Complex yet pleasant aroma. At first, it reminded me of a carpentry shop—super woody and masculine. It can be tricky to wear; you have to like it. Rich and distinctive. Longevity is incredible; a few sprays last until tomorrow. Sillage and projection are surprising, noticeable hours later. Versatile, though not for every occasion. So far, the only one that lasts hours on skin with such presence. Rating: 9.6/10.
DON’T BUY BLIND! Opens herbal-floral, like cucumber with chili over violets and iris. Then it blends dense woods and leather with a hint of gasoline, reminiscent of Dior’s Fahrenheit, plus an artisanal Indian sandalwood. It’s a strong punch that made a friend gift me his decant. Not for daily wear; save it for a John Wick or Constantine-style conflict, summoning demons. Projection lasts 2-3 hours, longevity 6-7 hours, but you’ll regret it lasts that long. Rating: 4.2/5.
If you want an S33 without spending a fortune, look here. They’re 98% identical. I tested them side-by-side and the difference is negligible. Stallion wins on longevity, so grab the 600ml instead of the 100ml S33. P.S.: Best atomizer I’ve ever used.
I’ve had this scent for seven or eight months, time for a review. In Stallion 53, you find a much heavier version of Santal 33 in several ways. It opens with cardamomo (citrus without the acidity), lasts while the alcohol dries, and moves to the heart adding depth and an earthy iris. The base is where it shines: very present sandalwood and cedar, with a freshly polished leather accord with oils and a touch of papyrus that smells like dry wood. The level is medium, neither hyper-realistic nor with plastic-like aromas. Being unisex, it leans masculine. Use it on any occasion except extreme heat, because it would be suffocating. The best part is its sillage; it smells better from a distance than up close. Good longevity: over 12 hours on clothes and 6-8 hours on skin. A good perfume if you like wood and leather, serious but stands out for activities. I wouldn’t buy it again as an alternative to Santal 33 because it makes its own twist, it’s heavier, but for the price, it’s a safe purchase.
This perfume is distinctive; it doesn’t resemble most others. From the start, you can tell the notes, but beware: the opening is strong, you feel the leather, it’s alcoholic and herbal, and honestly, that first impression isn’t great, I almost hated it. It’s one of those fragrances that needs time to settle. After an hour and a half, the real show begins: it softens the aggression and becomes sweet, powdery, and creamy due to the iris, perhaps its most unisex part. That contrast between the green-earthiness and the clean iris makes it interesting. It smells like a freshly rained forest, cut wood, freshly cut grass, as if you put that in a watermelon vodka bottle, but when it dries, it becomes creamy and the alcohol fades. It’s herbal, wet, living nature, and wet earth, a mix between a carpentry workshop and a forest, wrapped in something synthetic at the start. It also reminds me a lot of Armaf’s Odyssey Homme due to the iris and leather. The performance is brutal, over 10 hours, I guarantee it, even if you go to sleep, you can still smell it the next day. I put it on at 2 PM for work and went out at 2 or 3 AM; my brother told me he could still smell it on me (8 to 10 sprays to make it last long). It’s worth a lot for the price, being an excellent Santal 33 dupe. In summary: it’s not easy, not for everyone, you’ll probably dislike the beginning, but give it TIME, at least an hour, and you’ll see the essence. If you like natural, green, woody, and different scents, Stallion 53 is a great option for your collection.
Top notes of sandalwood, wood, and leather make it unique and rare; the closest I’ve found to Santal 33. Perfect for autumn, winter, and crisp springs. A must-buy if you love those notes.
Stallion 53 is a very good clone of Le Labo’s Santal 33, an authentic sandalwood bomb accompanied by leather and iris, with a distinctive, dry, and elegant character, that dusty and slightly rough touch that makes it instantly recognizable. It’s not a fragrance I personally like, but I must admit it has an original and striking profile, one of those that divide opinions, though many find it extremely attractive and addictive. The performance is very good, it projects solidly and has excellent longevity. Its price is unbeatable, and the fact that it includes a 20 ml atomizer makes it tempting for lovers of intense, characterful woody fragrances. I recommend trying it before buying, because it’s a composition with a lot of personality, but if it fits your taste, you’ll hardly find a better quality-to-price ratio.
So versatile, works in any season and time of day! It’s about 80% similar to Santal 33, except when it fully dries down, it hits 90%. It’s more synthetic and bold: it starts with an effervescent, spicy cardamomo that gives way to a smoky aroma from the leather, like in a craft leather shop. The iris is very emblematic and sets the pace toward cypriol and fine, elegant woods. Highly recommended if you’ve been in the perfume world for a while; otherwise, the scent might clash with you.
What a disappointment, a failed attempt at Santal 33. From a distance or quickly, it might remind you of it, but if you don’t know it well, you could get confused. What really bothers me is that unnecessary, poorly executed sweetness that becomes tiring, feminine, and even annoying; it probably comes from the violet or iris. That’s the only thing that makes it repulsive. I already have sweet perfumes, so my anger comes from going out with a friend and applying the original. Probably a lab would smell more like Santal 33 than this. I had to resell it. Overall, a disappointment.
Stallion 53, looking for a Santal 33 dupe? It’s not one. The opening is about 70%, but once it dries down, it hits 85%. Santal 33 is unisex because of its creamy sandalwood, whereas this is a spicy, dry wood, almost like smelling a carpentry shop, but it’s not bad—in fact, I like it. I see it as very versatile, though less suitable for extreme heat; under 30 degrees, it’s perfect. If you’re looking for a better Santal 33 dupe, try Bravo el Ganso or One Million Gold. Box: Clones Le Labo’s box, eco-friendly and simple but distinct. Bottle: Copy of Santal 33, very simple, which costs it points. Atomizer: Sprays well, rating 9. Longevity: They say it’s beastly, others say it doesn’t last; for me, it lasts exactly 7 hours. Sillage: Leaves a good trail, though that’s not its strong suit. Price: $30, excellent and accessible. Compliments: Honestly, I haven’t gotten any; in fact, people have told me it smells weird. Final Rating: 8.5. Conclusion: Versatile perfume, smells like pure dry wood. If you love woody scents, you’ll like it. It’s a good perfume that smells great, but it’s only about 80% similar to Santal.
I’m not an expert in perfumes, but the woody scent is impressive. It’s the one that lasts longest on my skin (between 10 and 12 hours), and the price here is very accessible for the quality. I highly recommend it for a special nighttime occasion. Rating: 8.5
I was incredibly surprised. Although it’s inspired by the legendary Santal 33, it opens fresh with cardamom, smoky wood, and a hint of leather, all wrapped in a bubble of iris that makes it more powdery than the original. The orchid is very present and rests on dry sandalwood and cedar, giving it mystique and complexity. Putting it on transports you to an old, classic-architecture library closed for years. It’s not dark, but vibrant and mystical; you’ll definitely notice that aura in others. Totally recommended.
I was completely blown away. To me, it smells like niche level, top-tier quality.
Impeccable price-to-quality ratio. You can tell it’s a fine product despite the low cost. Smells elegant and original, very clean, like refined white woods. Ideal if you’re looking for dry, characterful woody scents. Lasts quite a long time.
I just bought it, it arrived, and my mistake was buying it online without really knowing how it would smell, of course I saw the notes, but I also trusted the good reviews. I’m 14 years old and this perfume reminds me of church incense; it’s exactly as it says in the notes, it has all of that. Although the truth is I’ve never had a woody fragrance, in fact I’ve never had perfumes, I wanted one and by letting myself be led, this was the first perfume I bought, a mistake. I feel like a priest or a nun would wear it; I feel… Catholic, to be honest. Which is nothing bad, of course, but not if it fits my age. When I showed it to other people, most said they’d heard that somewhere, which for me means this perfume is common, of course not as a fragrance, but as an ambient scent, so to speak, it’s common. And also, most people don’t like this smell much, although the important thing is that I like it, obviously, and I think I do; in the opening no, but when it dries a bit, it doesn’t smell so bad.
I don’t care much if it resembles Santal 33 or not; what I can tell you is that this fragrance is rich, denotes presence, and elegance. The opening is the only thing I find mediocre; from there on to the drydown, it’s fantastic.
Bottled elegance. Despite being a clone, the quality of the ingredients is noticeable: a fresh and sharp opening, very spicy thanks to the cardamomo, with a woody and creamy drydown. I didn’t expect much from this blind purchase, but it surprised me very positively, to the point that I’ve considered including it among my signature fragrances. And well, the best part is the price, $17 USD in Chile, which seems ridiculously cheap for what it offers. Rating: 9.3/10.
I’ve been looking for this perfume for a year and a half. In cold weather or at night, it’s an incredible explosion of scent. From the opening, you can already smell that rich sandalwood, cedar, and cardamomo. A fragrance that gives off vibes of elegance and presence at a super accessible price (nothing to envy from Santal 33) in my country. I fell in love so much that I bought two. Highly recommended.
Of course interesting. I bought this fragrance after smelling Santal 33, which I liked a lot, although personally I’ve always felt it was more oriented towards the floral side. Now, under this profile, I acquired Stallion 53 on the premise that it was a dupe of the acclaimed Le Labo. However, to my surprise, this fragrance opts to go more fully into the woody side, which is undoubtedly a hit; I love it. Its drydown seems quite pleasant but present. The opening, which is what’s most criticized, while not bad, isn’t for everyone; it’s somewhat aggressive and loaded with elements, but after about 30 minutes it improves considerably. As for the compliment factor, honestly I don’t care much; I’ve received divided opinions. The longevity is really good, persisting on clothes the next day and on skin exceeding 5 hours. As for projection and sillage, I don’t know much, but judging by the potency of the scent, I estimate they are excellent, especially considering the price. It’s a perfume I see more for fresh or cold occasions, not for heat, and even less if you live in a very hot city (which is my case), since I’ve smelled Santal 33 dupes in temperatures exceeding 30 degrees and I don’t consider it a good option, and I’m sure this one wouldn’t be either for a hot summer. A blind purchase in my case, but a total hit; I would buy it again without a doubt, more so.
Honestly, it was a half-blind purchase because I like woody fragrances to some extent, so I ordered the Amper Discovery Set (30ml) to try it without buying the regular presentation, only partially guided by reviews here and its notes, but I didn’t expect the smell to be so strong along with its longevity. In my opinion, if you like or frequent fresh, sweet, or more youthful fragrances, I DO NOT recommend it, because I wore it to university and asked everyone, and nobody liked it. But if you want to try it, yes, I definitely recommend the Discovery Set; at least you’ll get three other options.
I have mixed feelings about this perfume… On one hand, I love its green and woody scent, its versatility (all-terrain), and its performance (8 hours of longevity and powerful sillage for the first 2 hours). Personally, it’s an amazing fragrance, simply incredible, elegant, and sexy. But on the other hand, it’s my ego whispering that when you wear it, you smell like half the world. I like perfumes that aren’t hyper-massified so I don’t run into people on the street smelling the same; with this one, it’s almost certain I’ll meet people smelling like Emporio Armani Acqua di Giò or one of the many Santal 33 dupes. A friend told me her mom used it, then I smelled it at a cashier at Office Depot the next day, another time at a lady at the theater, and so on; I’ve encountered it several times. In short, it’s an amazing fragrance in every sense of the word, but it’s hyper-massified. That’s why many hate it and many others love it (its two sides of the coin). If you want to make an impact and smell incredible, this perfume is for you. If you want to smell unique and original, this perfume is not for you.
This perfume delivers way more than it costs, and there’s no debate about it. Incredible quality for $15. The leather note is noticeable; it’s a dry fragrance that lasts quite a bit on clothes and skin, at least 7 hours. I totally recommend it, but never buy it blindly. Now, if you love that perfect sweet leather vibe, it’s yours.
Personally, I absolutely love this scent, though opinions will be divided: you either love it or hate it, there’s no middle ground. When I first bought it, I didn’t like it at all because my nose wasn’t trained, like any beginner. I made the mistake of spraying 10 times and couldn’t even stand it myself; I put it back in the box and decided to give it time and patience. Several months later, I wore it again for work, applying only 5 sprays after learning from the first time, since that smell is so strong it causes nausea and bothers others. Now I perceive a quite attractive, pleasant scent that lasts and projects a ton; it feels elegant and masculine. But I emphasize it’s not a compliment generator; it’s at that perfect point where you feel like a man with character and a marked personality who doesn’t care about others’ opinions and just wants to impose presence. If you’re a man with a high ego, sky-high self-esteem, confident, a successful gentleman, a conqueror, a bad boy, or a type with a substantial account who doesn’t need words to impress, this perfume is totally and widely for you; it’s one of the definitive ones. Believe me, I’m not lying, trust me and do yourself a favor: buy it.
I was expecting more based on several YouTubers, but it disappointed me with its weak sillage and average longevity. The scent isn’t bad thanks to its woody, foresty, and powdery notes, but that’s all it is. Still, its ridiculously low price of $15 USD saves it.
