I like it. It’s super summery, super tropical, and it lasts quite a bit on skin and clothes. Its aroma is pure squeezed watermelon with a touch of gummy candy.
It smells like a delicious, juicy watermelon… but nothing else. It’s a fairly linear perfume. Personally, I liked it a lot, but coming from Escada, I expected more. For those in Spain who like it but don’t want or can’t afford its price (though it’s not especially expensive, it’s also not cheap for what it is), I highly recommend the Melon Monogotas from Mercadona. It smells incredibly similar, almost identical, and its longevity and sillage are very good, nothing to envy from Escada… and the price difference is huge. In conclusion, it’s a good perfume, I liked it, but given there are alternatives much on par for a fraction of the cost, for me this Escada perfume is a no.
Oh no. No, no, no. I usually pay attention to Escada limited editions; sometimes there are interesting things. But this is a chemical bomb, totally synthetic and artificial. The first impression turns me off; upon spraying, it’s a watermelon bubblegum, an overwhelming watermelon, then something like shampoo, and finally an aquatic room freshener. I’ve given it more than one chance, but I guess not. Maybe for a girl or teenager, but please, Escada… how can you do this to us?
I see many people don’t like it, but I absolutely loved it. I wanted a perfume for this summer that would make me feel clean, fresh, sweet, and energizing, and it delivered. Living where it’s over 35 degrees, the last thing you want is a sweet gourmand scent (like my neighbors who abuse Vie Est Belle, Fantasy, Meow, Ariana Grande…); I wanted to give my nose a break from Be Delicious and find something that would make me feel clean. I found it. Yes, the watermelon is a bit artificial, like a body mist, but it has good longevity and those aquatic notes with musk smell great on my skin. Then, as it settles, the pear and apple give that extra plus of delicious fruit. It didn’t wear off; my husband is thrilled and keeps me close, saying I smell like Jolly Rancher. Anyway, if you’re looking to smell like a fresh candy or watermelon with juice dripping out, this is the one. The only downside is the price, a bit expensive for what it offers, but I hope to find an affordable alternative someday.
I smiled when I tried it. It smells exactly like watermelon candies covered in sugar. It’s a rich scent, but it’s not what I’m looking for in a perfume; it’s more the aroma of a carefree, cheerful teenager. If you’re looking for a watermelon scent, you’ll surely enjoy this one.
This Escada edition didn’t get much work. I have many summer scents from the brand, and this one is simple. I don’t perceive any notes, just watery watermelon like the bubblegum I used to eat as a kid, but no flowers, no salt, or other fruits. I like the scent, but for a body splash or cheap fruity cologne, yes; for a pricey brand eau de toilette, I didn’t expect this. Let it be known that I’ve used Ocean Lounge, Taj Sunset, and Isla Carioca, and although they are simple, they have much more complex formulas than Sorbetto Rosso. Thanks to sweetmarycandy for the comparison with Melon Monogotas, I’ll try it.
I liked it. I went to test it with two coworkers and showed them two other perfumes; this one was the winner. They thought it was delicious, it made their mouths water… what? For me, it’s tasty, but it’s linear, pure watermelon. It smells like watermelon popsicles with chili or Jolly Rancher watermelon candy, delicious.
The packaging is simple and repetitive; the bottle design is quirky, but I still can’t tell the difference between the perfume and the lotion. As for the scent, it smells very synthetic watermelon, sharp, slightly green, without sweetness, and totally linear. Ironically, I prefer the BT bubblegum scent over this fragrance, and they’re much cheaper.
I bought it during a compulsive shopping spree looking for something summery and fruity. I tested it in-store, and when I got home, I couldn’t believe it: it smells exactly like Island Fantasy by BS and costs double, so I went back and returned it. No sense in having two identical perfumes. I love the aroma—it’s like a watermelon cocktail with lots of sugar, fruity and summery—but in the end, I’m sticking with the other one.
I love it. It’s super sweet, though the watermelon note reminds me of bubblegum; it’s exquisite. I wear it every morning after showering along with Miami Blossom (2019); they smell similar, but Sorbetto Rosso is a concentrated watermelon scent, whereas Miami Blossom is watermelon with pineapple and less sweet. They mix beautifully. I’m so happy to have it and I’m looking for the 100ml version so it lasts longer.
I absolutely loved it! Rich, rich, rich. It’s my style: fruity, tropical, fresh. The watermelon is very noticeable and I love it. Perfect for a summer edition; if I find it, I’ll buy it with my eyes closed.
I really like it! Taste is subjective; it smells like watermelon, lots of it, like gummies or bubblegum. It doesn’t last long, but I love reapplying it because I adore its aroma.
Smells like bubblegum, Jolly Rancher, or a watermelon pop. The synthetic watermelon note stands out. For me, it’s not a special scent; I consider it quite childish 🍉🍬🍭… If you like sweet perfumes, you’ll like it, but don’t expect something cloying and edible; this is fresh. Lasts about 3 hours on my skin.
Watermelon lovers, this is your perfume. Fresh and sparkling for summer. Smells great, super fruity. Pity the longevity isn’t much.
I love it! So fresh 😍. I like the watermelon scent without it being cloying 💖. I own three summer editions, and this one has better longevity. I’d buy it again if I can find it 🙂
Does anyone know where to get this in Mexico? 🥺
I like it, though it doesn’t overwhelm. It smells like Mexican ‘Vero Rebanaditas’ popsicles or Jolly Rancher. It’s a fresh, light, and slightly tart watermelon candy, just like those sweets. I don’t think it resembles L’Imperatrice 3; I own both, and they are distinct styles.
I was curious about this perfume; although described as simple, it has quite a few notes, which is rare for watermelon fragrances. It’s not cheap here, so I hesitated to take the risk. It starts like a little girl’s scent and grows into a bronzed woman on the beach. The performance isn’t great—it’s a ‘budget’ perfume—but as a watermelon lover, I had to try it. It’s simple, but never boring. At first, it smells like Jolly Rancher, sweet and strawberry-like, very basic, but as it dries, the trail changes completely. I imagined it as watermelon juice with carrot, even making me hungry, including the green parts, apple, and flowers. Finally, a subtle coconut appears, very rich. I loved it; it’s lovely for summer, and I can see myself at sunset wearing it. The salt note appears halfway through, casual and carefree, making the final phase feel very sexy. When it breaks down, it smells exactly like Juicy Couture’s Pink Couture. It’s the evolution of Adidas Get Ready, more complex and gourmand. I liked it a lot and added it to my watermelon collection (there are few worth it here). It didn’t feel like L’Imperatrice to me. I detect all the notes except praline and calone. I recommend it to watermelon fans, but don’t buy it blindly if you dislike the initial childish opening.
It’s pure watermelon bubblegum, but once it dries, it’s so delicious it transports you to the sea. At first, I didn’t like it, but it evolves over time: it starts chewy and ends up as a fresh, clean aroma.
Sweet, sweet, sweet. Definitely smells like watermelon Jolly Rancher; I don’t detect the mango others mention. Despite being super sweet, it’s not cloying—it has freshness and is perfect for daily wear. It leaves a powerful, long-lasting trail, which I love; no need to reapply. Highly recommended for those seeking fruity, fresh, youthful scents. Perfect for summer vacations or spring-summer.
This smells like Jolly Rancher but on steroids. At first, it didn’t bother me, but after reading all the reviews and using it again, I got spoiled by the hype and now it’s cloying—I can’t stand it and didn’t get the compliments I was hoping for.
I loved it.
It smells exactly like a melon palette. You get tons of compliments. Some say it doesn’t last long, but on me it’s about six hours with good projection. It shines in the heat. I love it. It’s simple but beautiful, and no other fruity scent smells like this.
It puts me in a good mood. Two sprays last me all day with huge longevity and sillage. People always compliment it. It’s watermelon, sweet, and cheerful; I smell quite a bit of strawberry. Only those two notes stand out at 100%. Be careful not to overdo it, or it can be overwhelming. It’s nothing groundbreaking, so I wouldn’t repurchase, but I enjoy having it in my collection.
It’s one of my favorite editions: cheerful, youthful, fun, irreverent, informal, and 100% tropical and summery. It’s fruity but doesn’t overpower the florals; the tiaré flower shines as it dries, and the sea salt note is gorgeous—it cuts the sweetness so it’s not cloying. Watermelon is super refreshing and gives it that fresh, youthful vibe. It has personality, it’s original, with great sillage and longevity; you’re in a bubble of fresh flowers and fruits for over six hours. It’s eye-catching, people love it, and you get compliments. If you like notes, buy it blind—it doesn’t disappoint.
Honestly, it doesn’t smell as much like watermelon as I’d like, but it’s fresh, pleasant, and special for everyday wear when you’re not sure what to put on.
Very youthful, fresh, ozonic, and full of watermelon. Super fresh.
I have mixed feelings. I only detect apple and strawberry; there’s a hint of watermelon caramel sweetness, but it doesn’t smell like fresh, juicy watermelon. It reminds me more of a green Jolly Rancher apple. I don’t sense the salt or floral notes mentioned on Fragrantica. I’ll keep testing it and hope it surprises me. Recommended for summer, it’s sweet, fresh, and playful. It reminds me of their sister scent Sexy, though I think they only share the strawberry note. I’ll keep testing.
It’s exactly like a watermelon gum, very tropical.
Smells like a fresh, juicy, and fun watermelon popsicle. I love it for hot days; it keeps me feeling fresh and radiant. The longevity isn’t amazing, but it’s decent, lasting about 5-7 hours.
Very fresh perfume for fruit lovers, smells like a watermelon popsicle. I like it for informal outings, those times when you don’t know what to wear but want to smell good, it’s a great option.
Smells like a summer afternoon with friends :3. Very fresh but sweet scent, highlights super juicy watermelon, doesn’t feel synthetic or cloying, quite well done. It’s very youthful; I can’t imagine an older woman wearing Sorbetto Rosso. If you’re young and need a perfume for casual summer outings, you definitely need it 🙂
Juicy and fresh joy, aquatic watermelon with the exact amount of sweetness, just enough to carry the rest of the notes. It’s one of those scents that puts you in a good mood and doesn’t demand formality. The only downside is the longevity, so good to have a pocket perfume ready, and for the price, it’s not a struggle.
Ugh, please, what a delightful aroma, it’s pure juicy, chewy, and sweet watermelon. Not cloying at all. If you pair it with the Watermelon Splash Bodycology collection (shampoo, scrub, and cream), you’ll be a walking watermelon 🍉.
I put it on and it’s an explosion of joy, super fresh. The watermelon is rich and reminds me of childhood scents, like watermelon bubblegum. It doesn’t last long on my skin, but I love the scent.
Another Escada perfume that smells like synthetic fruits where watermelon dominates, but any body mist can replace it.
I have to admit I undervalued this 😅. I bought three Escada perfumes based on social media hype and hated this one when I first opened it; I thought it smelled synthetic and gross. I left it forgotten on the shelf, but today, looking for something fresh after a shower, I tried it again and fell in love 😍. Something magical happened with time. It’s not elegant or dressy, just fresh, sweet, sparkling, and youthful, almost childish… but it smells amazing, literally like a little watermelon treat, just as it should be without being cloying. It’s super comfortable; I see it on girls from 3 to 18 years old, perfect for everyday wear, cute for school, but anyone who loves gourmand scents would use it easily. For me, at 30, I’d wear it at home, for sleeping, at the beach, to the grocery store, or to the gym. Informal occasions. I’d definitely buy it again.
To me, it smells like pure watermelon, no tricks. I bought it because of the hype, but it’s nothing wow; if you’re thinking of buying it, I recommend testing it first—it’s very sweet.
Simple but delicious, like a Mexican candy bar watermelon popsicle. Fresh, softly sweet, doesn’t last long, but for the price, I don’t mind reapplying.
Smells good right out of the bottle, but it’s a synthetic watermelon that fades in two minutes. No sillage at all, feels more like a body splash and doesn’t last past the skin.
