Descripción

Silver Mountain Water by Creed is an aromatic fragrance for men and women. Launched in 1995, this composition was created by Olivier Creed and Pierre Bourdon. The top notes unfold with bergamot and mandarin; the heart reveals green tea and black currants; while the base notes settle on musk, sandalwood, petit grain, and galbanum.

This is exactly what I expected; I searched for it in other bottles, containers, under the rug, in the oven, and even licked a sweaty horse’s hoof, and nothing. I found it! Fresh tangerine, do you like it? The other fruit I haven’t been able to decipher has gone crazy for me. One of the best.

The fragrance I’ve loved most in my life. I used it as a signature from 2014 to 2018; it literally hypnotized people. I live in Colombia and have unfairly hated it for the poorly made imitations (like Freiche or custom orders) that are everywhere; even though they don’t reach the ankles, the fact that people say ‘I’m wearing Creed SMW’ made me hold it against them. Is it one of my past favorites? Yes. Would I use it again? No. Do I recommend it? Yes, but I’ve since met other very fresh fragrances. My humble contribution.

  • I’ve been wearing it for several years; in my opinion, it’s among the best out there. I’ve always loved the opening, and the blend of aromas is a delight for the nose. It’s true that it’s a bit pricey, but if you love fragrances, it’s worth it.

  • It reminds me of a walk through the forest after a light rain. It has that initial citrus touch, I suppose from bergamot, which softens to reveal something more complex and relaxing. Definitely not for everyone, but if you like feeling close to nature, it might suit you well.

I love this perfume: the scent, freshness, originality, and cleanliness are fantastic. You can tell the components are high quality. That said, it doesn’t perform well or project for long; it’s not meant to make a statement. However, it stays on the skin and projects at less than half a meter. If you want more projection, use a decant and reapply. If you like it and understand its weaknesses, learn to use it for intimacy; it feels close without being invasive.

Exquisite and very original, it smells natural… but it doesn’t project much and its longevity isn’t the best for the price. I know many say magic lies in discretion, but I believe it should last longer. Still, it would be my signature if not for Aventus. Scent 10/10, projection 8/10, longevity 8/10.

BRUTAL! A fresh, pickled, and herbal morning after the rain. I was fascinated by the tea and tangerine notes at the start; I want to know where it goes after maceration. I’ve never smelled the original, only its inspirations. At the Black Friday sale, the quality stands out miles away compared to any clone. It’s quite well-made, but I don’t know how the longevity holds up. I suppose you get what you pay for.

  • I hate that green and citrus blend where you can’t even detect the tangerine; it smells too strong for a citrus scent. It’s a decent all-rounder, but I wouldn’t buy it again. Scent 3/10, longevity 9/10, projection 9/10. Blind buy 8/10, price 2/10. Final score 6.2; without the price factor, it would be an 8.

  • I bought a decant and usually spray it on the cap to smell it before applying. The first time, it seemed incredibly rich, with hints of Green Irish Tweed. Today I wore it in Monterrey at 38 degrees: moderate sillage at 20 cm, citrusy and clean due to the musk. It’s pleasant, but the projection is poor for the price. I’ll give it another shot with 10 sprays to see if I change my mind. Rating: 7.

No one understands that this lasts a minimum of 8 hours; it’s a Creed masterpiece. It’s celestial, non-invasive, and easy to enjoy. As a unisex scent, it attracts the opposite sex greatly. Fragrances like Sillage can’t even come close. Creed’s quality is in a different league: you pay for the niche experience, not just to smell good. It’s versatile, shines in summer, and is elegant and refined. One of the most exquisite aromas I’ve ever smelled. If Eden smelled like something, it would definitely be Creed SMW.

  • LunaeMons

Muuuuy delicious. Nothing to add about how nice it smells. That said, the longevity is a joke for what it costs. An hour of timid projection, then it retreats and goes unnoticed unless you smell it up close. Too much hype, too little performance. The houses fill their pockets for a whiff of scent. With dupes at a tenth of the price, there’s no sense in buying it.

  • Huge similarity with Turathi Blue: citrusy, musky, and quite flat. Maybe in this Silver there’s a slightly more herbal and green note, but the resemblance is undeniable. The citrus opening turns slightly orange without losing acidity, and the musk dominates the entire journey of an aroma with no evolution. It fits and transforms perfectly, works with my pH. It’s a clear yes for summer or temperatures above 28 degrees. Again, I wouldn’t pay what they ask; there are very similar ones for a fifth of the price.

  • Martínvenezuela

It doesn’t project like a beast, but it’s always there for your own delight. You can tell the class in the citrus; the opening is very different from the dry down, and the materials are of good quality. It reminds me of Imagination tied with Afternoon Swim. I understand people don’t like the performance because it’s not a beast in projection, but it lasts and is noticeable without adding anything. I recommend it with a 9/10.

  • spectrumcowboy

Fresh; the note I perceive most is tangerine. It’s complimentary but very personal, extroverted yet reserved. Those who get close will be impressed, but those who pass by will remain unnoticed. The fresh and citrusy notes conquer anyone, but they must stay within a conversational range. It smells like someone clean, elegant, and who likes to experiment. For the price, I wouldn’t buy it; better to choose an alternative.

  • Simply paradise. It smells relaxing, fresh, and clean. It’s the perfect perfume for your wedding: subtle enough to enjoy, not to leave a trail, but always present. If someone gets close and asks what you’re wearing, they’ll know. It’s perfect, 100% versatile, the best of Creed.

  • Creed hasn’t visited the alpine mountains much because it doesn’t smell fresh and alpine… it has a delicious Creed aroma, but the performance is lamentable. After two hours, it smells like nothing. It’s not acceptable at that price. If I put it on at 5 PM to go out for drinks, by 8 PM it shouldn’t be that it doesn’t smell at all.

  • peperinafragancia

Somewhere between Mefisto and Calvin Klein One: herbal (grass), lemon, floral, musky, talcum-powdered. The talcum-powdered floral touch makes it unisex, similar to a citrusy Donna Karan. It’s soft and pleasant, but on my skin it stays very light; it’s noticeable at first, but after an hour it disappears almost completely.

  • Leonardo Quiroz

Very citrusy, too much bergamot and tangerine. Ideal for hot climates and daytime use, like at the gym or for short outings, because its longevity is very short. For men up to 45 years old.

  • Silver Mountain Water by Creed is unique. Its true potential only shows on skin, never on paper. Day 1: strong and intense; you have to walk around for the wind to release the chords. Day 2: sweet, subtle, and sophisticated; with the wind, a balanced acidic citrus emerges. Indoors, it’s soft, elegant, and deeply masculine. It says a lot about who chooses it: classically modern elegance, without being pretentious. It’s simple, fair, and necessary elegance. Humility without submission, determination without arrogance. Day 3: I fell in love. Confession: if they had gifted it to me, I wouldn’t have discovered its essence; paying for it is what made me appreciate it. Free things lose importance.

  • It’s like mixing GIT’s green notes with Kouros’ sexy musk: a delightful result. Pierre Fragrance is simple, starting with citrus that later wraps around green notes. The dry down is almost aphrodisiac, musky, and creamy. It distills elegance, neatness, and sensuality without trying too hard.

  • It’s one of the most versatile fragrances I’ve owned. A very fresh and wearable scent, with great projection (a few meters) and great longevity (about 5 hours). Exquisite citrus notes with a phenomenal floral base. 100% recommended. This fragrance is very good, but if you want the same thing for much less… search for ‘SILVER’ by Al Rehab. You’ll get the same aroma for a few dollars, with much better performance (a perfume that lasts days). Others include: Armaf Sillage and Derby Blanche. Also, Cremo Silver Water & Birch.

  • Andres LAGM1998

Fresh, citrusy, green, and very musky. Among the Creed fragrances I own and have tried, this is by far my favorite for being simple and clean. It has earned me countless compliments, but it’s not worth the price you have to pay for it, even though it’s one of my favorite fragrances in life.

  • xavi40rios

This perfume is the definition of summer. It smells very similar to LV’s Afternoon Swim, but the quality of the notes is on another level. It’s very expensive but completely worth it. My favorite perfume from the Creed house.

  • Antonio Tapia

Beautiful fragrance, but unfortunately its performance and projection nowadays are a joke. If you want to waste your money, here it is, Silver Mountain Water: after 40 minutes, you won’t feel it, and even less so the people around you. It’s a kick in the balls what the Creed house is doing with its reformulations. I wish people would stop buying and let them go bankrupt due to scandals and greed.

  • AntaresAres

It’s summer. In my city, we’ve had temperatures between 38 and 41 degrees (and counting) for over a week. Help. But here comes SMW to save me. I don’t know if it’s the mandarin, the tea, or the galbanum, but this fragrance has me hypnotized. At first, I was surprised by its delicate bitter citrus note, then it conquered me with its sober green character, sharp and invigorating. It’s a juice of blinding, icy luminosity, relentless: a perfect unisex. I love its purity and reserved elegance, though it does have a bit of a rough edge. Without a doubt, one of its strong points is its great versatility; with SMW, you almost always get it right. A classic.

  • I just entered the world of perfumery and decided to try the classics as my first step. The house Creed has been a disappointment because every fragrance I’ve accessed in bottles has had terribly short longevity. This is no exception, and even though I sprayed it eight times, the moment I stepped out I already felt what was coming: indeed, by half an hour, there was no trace of it left.

  • We’ve all been there: walking into a Creed boutique with purpose, like your credit card won’t tremble when you see the price tag. And there it is, Silver Mountain Water, in its nuclear-white bottle, promising icy purity and a tax status suspiciously high. You approach, give a single furtive spritz on the back of your hand, and walk out quickly with the gesture of someone who sampled caviar at the supermarket without intending to buy it. You smell it and think: ‘My god, this is what rich Swiss people smell like after skiing and before washing their sins away in champagne.’ Then you see the price and realize you’d need to sell a kidney, or several organs of your relatives, to afford it. That’s why Perfumarte exists. Because the system isn’t for dreams, but it is for reasonable clones. The Perfumarte version opens just as citrusy and fresh, but with a more… human vibe. Less ‘just came out of an Alpine monastery studying philosophy’ and more ‘I showered this morning and feel unstoppable.’ The metallic base, that whisper of ink and mountain, is still there, though it sounds more like an office stapler than a glacial torrent. And then there’s that talc. Oh, blessed talc. Clean, subtle, impersonal like a high-end spa receptionist. It gives off an aura of ‘my white socks are impeccable’ without raising suspicions that you’re wearing 20€ cologne with a 250€ face. The best part is that it lasts. Unlike the average salary. It stays with dignity, like those expensive perfumes you eye with desire from the display case but wouldn’t ask your soul to mortgage. This isn’t Creed. And that’s the best thing about it. Because if paying 300€ to smell like glacial water seems reasonable to you, you need less perfume and more therapy. The Perfumarte version is for those who know elegance can also be faked with talent. For the one who will sniff the original with the subtlety of a spy, but at home, spray the clone like an emperor of the provinces. With pride. And without ruining dinner.

  • Brutal fragrance, especially right after spraying. Smells addictive and stands out from designer perfumes, with a lot of class and refinement. It’s one of the best from Creed, alongside Aventus and Silver Mountain Water. Depending on the heat, it lasts more or less; longevity isn’t its strong suit. In high heat, it fades noticeably within a few hours—that’s its only flaw. Ideal for those who appreciate a well-crafted composition. Contrary to what people say, I prefer it in cooler weather because its fresh aroma pairs perfectly with that climate and stands out against sweet, overused perfumes.

  • Honestly, I expected much more. It wasn’t my first choice; I went for Aventus, but it was out of stock, so I tried this one and liked it. I bought it to treat myself to a Creed. It smells rich, fresh, and you can tell the ingredients are high quality, but its performance leaves a lot to be desired. It projects very little and doesn’t last. If you’re expecting to spray it on and have people say ‘mmm, that smells good,’ this isn’t it; they have to be right next to you. There are more common and cheaper perfumes that work better. I definitely won’t buy it again.

  • Antonio Tapia

I feel angry about the slight letdown Creed gave me 😡 when the scent almost disappears; you need to concentrate and press your nose right up to it to perceive it. I don’t understand why the price is so high. I understand it’s a high-quality perfume, but its performance is extremely mediocre; even Nautica Voyage lasts and projects more.

  • Highly addictive scent; the combo of citruss, blackcurrants, and tea is a marvel, with the crystal-clear ingredient transparency that always characterizes Creed. That’s what hooks me about the brand: the crystal clarity of its ingredients. As for performance, I don’t have any issues at all; in fact, it has improved over time (probably due to maceration). The reality is that at first I needed to spray more, but now with fewer sprays I get 8-9 hours where I clearly perceive the fragrance. At a restaurant table, my partner sitting across from me could smell it perfectly. I’ll say it again: I have no performance issues with any of the Creeds I own. That’s why I keep expanding my collection.

💙 Creed Silver Mountain Water: ‘The freshness that has accompanied me since the beginning.’ This perfume marked my history within perfumery from a very young age. I discovered it curiously through a clone, and yet it still seemed special. Even though the profile felt familiar, it had something distinct that stuck in my mind. When I found out what the original was, I went straight to try it, and that’s when the real crush happened. I remember going to El Corte Inglés and spraying it on when the salespeople weren’t looking; that’s when my deep affection for this scent began. 🪄 Over the years, I’ve used two bottles of clones, and now that I can afford it, I have the original. Although it’s true that some imitations come close, nothing smells exactly the same. The original has that sparkle, that particular metallic-aquatic touch that only Creed can achieve. The price isn’t justified—I know—but the love I have for it is stronger than logic, and it will ALWAYS have a place in my collection. 🍃 Green, citrusy, energizing. That kind of clean freshness that seems to come from an icy spring. A scent that gets you going. 👔 It’s one of the perfumes that has accompanied me through different stages. I use it from work meetings to a Sunday to unwind, or even to fall asleep; it’s one of those scents you don’t just use, but remember. ⏳ Longevity and projection: Moderate to low, but clean and well-balanced. ⭐ Rating: Another 10/10, a personal classic.

  • What can I say about an elegant and sober opening? It’s not overwhelming at all. It’s not a scent that everyone will notice or have a huge trail from; quite the opposite. It’s meant to be felt up close. Nothing smells exactly like this or like any other Creed. There are many imitations, but none of them are this. Simply an exquisite masterpiece.

  • davidovishh

For me, this is the best Creed perfume among the four I own, and it has the best performance. It lasts 8 hours without any issues, something that neither Aventus, Aventus Absolu, nor Green Irish Tweed can do. It’s the only one I have no regrets about buying, and I’m sure I’ll repurchase because the scent is delightful. The tea note captivates me more every day; I fell in love with it the first time I smelled Rain Essence. Such a beautiful, unique, and underused note. I still plan to buy Millésime Imperial and Centaurus for my collection, but I have to admit what a disappointment the brand’s performance has been overall.

  • agustincarro

How can a perfume over $200 last so little? I arrive at the office at 8am, it’s 10:30 or 11:00, and I can’t even smell it on my own skin… Disappointed.

  • Alberto_Pineda

This scent is quite rich for most of its evolution, with that rich citrus opening of bergamot and sweet mandarin, not excessively sweet or sour, but a very well-balanced point with petit grain, blackcurrants, and everything else. To have been created in the 90s, it feels very modern, youthful, yet mature at the same time, suitable for all ages and any season, especially in mild to warm weather.

  • Stunning. Too bad the longevity and projection are very low; when you wear it, you don’t feel like you’re wearing perfume, you just occasionally catch a soft trail of the scent. But okay, that was the idea Olivier Creed and Pierre Bourdon wanted to convey: a gentle breeze of Alpine freshness. It’s not bad, but be careful before buying it, you’ll go through it very quickly.

  • JavierSantana

Forget the spelling mistakes, but I need to clarify something: Olivier Creed is not a nose and hasn’t composed any perfumes, at least according to The Ghost Perfumer. He’s a very perceptive person, I’ll give him that, but he’s not a perfumer. Pierre Bourdon is the one who actually created all the Creed fragrances that are half-attributed to him.

  • After trying a ton of fragrances, we’re left with these 3 gems: My partner wears exclusively for work: Silver Mountain Water. We both wear for outings and gatherings: Loewe 7. And the official vacation scent is the classic Tommy Hilfiger. 💑
