  • It’s super strong; you have to like green fragrances. To me, it leans masculine, and unfortunately, I didn’t detect any vanilla. I’d describe it like eating 90% dark chocolate in a pine forest while it’s pouring rain.

  • Potent black chocolate opening that softens into cocoa. In the mid-notes, the conifers emerge, followed by a non-sweet vanilla, and as it dries, the oakmoss and woody notes come through—all very well blended. Lasts great; I smelled it for over 7 hours and the trail is noticeable. If you like chocolate with conifer touches, imagine a Fille en Aiguilles with a black chocolate and vanilla opening, minus the syrup. I’m definitely buying a bottle of this.

  • Potent dark chocolate opening that then softens into cocoa. In the dry down, the conifers emerge, a non-sweet vanilla, and finally oakmoss and woody notes, all very well blended. Longevity is great; I smelled it for over 7 hours and the sillage is noticeable. If you like chocolate with conifer touches, imagine a Fille en Aiguilles with a dark chocolate and vanilla opening, without the syrup. I’m definitely buying a bottle of this.

  • Black chocolate opening with a woody, smoky base. As it dries, the fir appears, subtle and mixed with the cocoa; the smokiness fades but the wood remains. Then the vanilla shows up—nothing cloying, just creaminess that lightens the darkness. That phase is my favorite. It leans masculine and works best in cool weather. Performance is excellent; I can smell it hours later. I liked it, though the opening is a bit flat. As it evolves, more nuances emerge and it grows on me. It didn’t dazzle me enough to buy immediately, but among the brand’s testers, it’s the best so far.

  • Opening of dark chocolate with a woody, smoky base. As it dries, the fir comes out, subtle and mixed with the cocoa; the smoke fades but the wood remains. Then the vanilla appears, not cloying, just creaminess that softens the darkness. That phase is my favorite. It leans masculine and is better for cool climates. Longevity is excellent, I could smell it for hours. I liked it, even if the opening is a bit plain. As it evolves, more nuances emerge and I like it more. It didn’t dazzle me enough to buy it outright, but among the ones I’ve tried from this brand, it’s the best so far.

  • FranSeatJones.

Do you know the Italian Mon Cheri truffles? Filled with cherry liqueur, typical of Christmas. The opening literally smells like that filling, so rich. Pity it doesn’t last long, because afterward it gets very resinous, though it evolves pleasantly. I do detect a vanilla, nothing pastry-like. It’s not a summer scent; it’s Christmas in a bottle, personal memories. I liked it a lot and recommend it, though not blindly.

  • It starts sharp, as usual for the brand, and actually made me cough when I sprayed it. Smells like realistic chocolate; although it doesn’t mention orange like the California version, I get a bright note from it. Mixed with a tiny green touch, but nothing like the strong Christmas pine found in others. Then a subtle vanilla joins in, softening things without falling into industrial vanilla or malt territory. It has quality and decent longevity, worth a sniff. The only question is whether I’ll wear it daily, haha.
