  Woody bomb at the start with dry, smoky woods and conifers. From the opening to the mid-stage, it’s very linear; the cedar smells like a pencil, and the caramel appears gradually, initially burnt and rough, not sweet at all. At the end, the caramel dominates, sweeter and softer, with the woods in the background. This phase is the best, but it takes too long to arrive. I see it as masculine, balanced, and not cloying. Performance is excellent; I’ve smelled it for hours. I liked it in the end, but it lacked a spark at the start to keep it from being boring. It was a bit late to buy again, but worth trying.

  I love woody scents, but this smells too masculine for a woman, even with the caramel drydown. It’s like burning resinous wood, yet I can’t take my nose off it.

  A simple, sincere woody fragrance. In Woodcut, every note is noticeable: pure cedar in the opening, very similar to Profvmvm in Arso, with a light smoky touch and a resinous coniferous base. The caramel is barely detectable at first, but after 20-30 minutes it takes center stage, sweetening the blend and leaving only a faint cedar. During this transition, the caramel keeps the smoky edge, leaning it toward masculine. Medium longevity, about 7 hours on the skin. Ideal for fall/winter. It’s not complex, it’s wearable, pleasant, and not risky if you buy blind.
