  My day with Bat stretched into the night because I didn’t want to stop feeling that enveloping sensation of being in a totally wild place. The sweet opening chords (Zoologist works the top notes like few other houses) transport you to a wild site… and what follows is even more intense. Literally, you’ll smell wet earth after rain, and that tingle that aroma gives you hits you right away. And it lingers… for hours you’ll be in another jungle where it rains and you dominate it perfectly, where you can hunt, fly, and rest whenever you feel like it. That’s when you feel like it, because Bat awakens an untamed side in you. I read that Bat was a Rock Star… I like that, but I don’t agree. Bat is Funky. He’s cool and likes to stand out, but without losing a shred of his individuality. Unintentionally, I found myself lip-syncing to Diana Ross’s ‘Upside Down’… It might seem funny, but honestly, it fits him like a glove.

  Nothing more, nothing less: this is the best explanation my partner and I could come up with. It smells exactly like the caves in Chiapas, Mexico, where there are bats and lots of humidity. This fragrance’s nose is interesting and brilliant, giving it a 10/10 for perfectly emulating cave aromas. Plus, this house has a different and quite original concept. Greetings from Veracruz.

  Zoologist’s Bat is a direct ode to a bat, but it doesn’t smell like one; it smells like a cave! I perceive it as fruity leather with a strong dark touch. Imagine a banquet of fully ripe fruits inside a humid cave with roots, where elegantly dressed forest creatures are feasting, and in the background, the host with a bat’s head welcomes you with wine. Bat is a great perfume; it successfully achieves its goal. Its resins with the fruity accord give a beautiful twist to the earthy note that, along with the leather, supports the harmonious fruity aura of this atypical and dark Zoologist. Excellent performance, highly recommended for autumn and winter.

  I bought the travel spray and applied two sprays to my arm. In hot and humid weather, I absolutely do not recommend it; I’ve worn it for almost a month and haven’t applied it again. The extrait de parfum is practically unwearable: it’s not clean, not sexy, and not pleasant for most people, and it clings heavily. It smells dusty and old. It’s a piece of art, but very few can wear it without having a bad time. If you want to try it, look for the Eau de Parfum, it’s much better. To use it with some chance, you need a lower concentration of this strange piece.

  If we’re talking about perfumes that teleport you, Bat is the definition of a bat cave: it has everything! It smells like tropical cave humidity. It’s a very interesting and innovative fruity and earthy scent. Ideal for collectors looking for something unique. Rating: 4 out of 5.
