Descripción

Scarlett by Cacharel is a woody floral musk fragrance for women. Launched in 2009, this composition was created by Honorine Blanc, Olivier Cresp, and Alberto Morillas. The top notes unfold with pear, tea, and Amalfi lemon; the heart reveals jasmine, honeysuckle, and African orange blossom; while the base notes complete the structure with white musk, musk, and sandalwood.

  • It’s a sweet perfume for going out, smelling of pear, very fruity. As the hours pass, the soft white flowers emerge. It’s rich, ideal for summer, day or night; a romantic scent and perfect as a teenager’s first perfume.

  • It’s a sweet going-out perfume with a pear taste, very fruity, but as time passes, the white flowers come out softly. It’s delicious, ideal for summer, day and night. It’s romantic and perfect as a teenager’s first perfume.

  • The jasmine here is so delicate it surpasses Calvin Klein Beauty. The soft citrus notes, the sweetness, and the pear’s freshness make it unique, taking me back to my childhood and a dreamy world. It’s feminine and tender; I like it more than Anaïs Anaïs because, while it’s also floral and soft, there are no overpowering hyacinths here. It’s much more wearable.

  • It’s the most delicate jasmine perfume I’ve tried, perhaps even more than Calvin Klein Beauty. The citrus notes, the sweetness, and the pear’s freshness give it a special touch that transports me back to my childhood and a dreamy world. It’s feminine and delicate; I like it more than Anaïs Anaïs, where the hyacinths were too strong. This one is just as tender and floral but much more wearable.

I tried this perfume today and I absolutely loved it. It smells fresh and youthful; I love it. It’ll be my next purchase.

  • I only noticed the honey and a floral touch; it’s super soft and special, lasting on the skin. I wouldn’t have repurchased it… edit: it has something that hooks you, I’ll definitely add it to my collection. It has the most evident honey note I’ve ever smelled, nothing like the fiasco of Elie Saab Le Parfum.

  • To my nose, it smells like pear, moss, and musk… it smells good. The bottle is so cute I wanted to have it in my collection, but honestly, it doesn’t seem like much, though it’s pleasant. I see it suits young girls, the stylish and personality-driven kind of quinceañera 🙂

  • Although it has fruit notes, for me it’s basically floral. I don’t detect the pear, I do smell a little lemon and lots of tea (I know it’s not a fruit :D). To my nose, the jasmine stands out. It reminds me of Anaïs Anais; they aren’t clones, but Scarlett is like the illegitimate sister. It’s not heavy, but not fresh like a post-workout scent either. I’d recommend it for girls aged 15 to 30. Personally, I don’t like it.

  • This summer I tried the small version for something sweet. At first, it was nice, but the blend of pear, lemon, and honey became unpleasant and gave me a migraine, so I gifted it away.

  • Yes, I like sweet perfumes and this one seems tender to me. Ideal for teenagers, I love its aroma.

  • Light, sweet, and tender, uncomplicated. I loved the design: an old Japanese powder compact that matched the coral of the fragrance. It was sensual without being pretentious. What a shame they stopped selling it here.

  • Light, sweet, tender, and uncomplicated… I loved the bottle design, an old Japanese powder compact that perfectly matched the fragrance’s coral hue. The concept was sensual without pretension. What a shame they stopped selling it here.

  • I wore it last year, ideal for spring-summer. It starts citrusy, then becomes floral, similar to Anais Anais. It’s rich, but not my favorite; it’s a youthful perfume for women up to 30.

  • Amazing! In my country, you can only find it in old perfumeries, not regular stores. They say it’s for young people, but that’s a mistake: perfumes don’t have an age, if you like it, wear it to feel special. It’s soft, fresh, and adds character with lemon and orange blossom.

It launched in 2009 as a limited edition and is very special to me. I wore it when I met the man who is now my husband, a sweet and fresh fragrance. On my skin, it lasts a long time and is perfect for spring. Of course, I keep it as a treasure since it’s become hard to find.

  • Intense jasmine and an animal note, which I imagine is the musk, and nothing else. I feel it’s feminine, suitable for a woman over 30.

  • VainillaDulce

When I saw it in the store, I bought it for the beautiful bottle without checking the notes. Upon wearing it, I smelled pear very prominently; I never really liked it. It felt more like a body mist than a perfume, and its composition seems incredibly poor—a soulless aroma that didn’t say anything to me.

  • Escarlata

I’d simply rate it as a slightly cloying sugary water and nothing more. Pretty weak coming from Cacharel. The bottle is very original and eye-catching, but not practical.

Prior context: Scarlett launched in 2009 as Cacharel’s new pillar to replace the discontinued Gloria, Promesse, and Liberté, but the strategy failed and production stopped quickly due to low sales. It’s a white floral inspired by Scarlett O’Hara, with a bottle mimicking a classic powder box; to me, it feels overdesigned compared to the simplicity of the fragrance. Scarlett isn’t about opulence, but small, delicate details. It opens with citrus breezes and white flowers, fresh and powdery with a subtle sweetness. Then the pear and jasmine eclipse the formula, giving aquatic/floral edges reminiscent of the 90s ozonic trend (that pear note is synthetic and a bit loud). Finally, tea, honeysuckle, and sandalwood emerge, closing with a woody-green base, sweet honey, and a bitter touch. Overall, it’s floral, fresh, and sober, explicitly delicate and soft. Within its style, it’s not standout; it belongs to the white floral family like Valentina or Radiance, both of which are better. Though it’s tender and lively, I conclude it’s incomplete and doubt anyone will miss it. It wasn’t flashy, but it was cute and simple, though I fault the excessive visual design for detracting from the scent. Longevity and sillage are moderate. Personally, I don’t regret its absence.

  • MintyBobbins

This has been my number one perfume, the very first on my favorites list. What a shame it’s no longer available, not even in dupes. I’ll need a new favorite soon.

  • Hi! If anyone is interested, I have an unopened one from my collection and I’m not going to use it. I feel bad leaving it there when someone needs it but can’t find it. Would anyone want to swap? Cheers. EDIT: I no longer have it.

  • A pretty, delicate bottle with notes of tea, pear, and soft honey, plus some distant white floral hints. It smells exactly like the bottle when you first spray it, but unfortunately, it has very little sillage and poor longevity.

  • I bought this as a gift from my best friends right when it launched. It’s not really my style—I prefer fresh citrus or bold gourmands. The bottle is majestic, with a vintage vanity vibe that reminded me of my grandmother’s powder box. The scent itself is vintage, musky, and classically floral; at first, I didn’t like it at all. But since they unanimously chose it and have great taste, I understood its complexity and retro elegance with wear. It’s delicate, cheerful, and enchanting once it settles on the skin.

  • I owned it; it was a gift from my best friends right when it launched. It wasn’t my style; I prefer fresh citrus or defined gourmands. The presentation was majestic, like an intimate vintage vanity that reminded me of my grandmother’s powder compact. The fragrance also felt vintage, musky, and classically floral. I didn’t like it at first, but since they chose it and have a good eye, with wear I understood its complexity and retro elegance. It’s delicate, youthful, and charming when it settles on the skin.

Well, after searching, I finally got the figurine through an exchange. The reality is I had already tried its dupe, Cher Dieciséis in Argentina, and I liked it, but it has a molecule that on my skin ends up smelling like rotting grass. First, Cher Dieciséis is fresh, floral, light, and a bit aquatic. Cacharel Scarlet is the same at first, a bit citrusy and watery, but it develops better, whereas Cher stays the same from start to finish (in very few hours). Scarlet evolves until the honey and musk notes dominate; honestly, it’s neither floral nor green, it’s a soft sweet, and as people say below, something vintage. Its longevity is high, over 5 hours, and projects for the first three. I didn’t detect the honeysuckle or green tea, which are my favorite notes; rather, it’s a sweet pear with honey and musk. The jasmine is present at the start but then gets very honeyed; I also don’t perceive the woods well; everything is very integrated. Cher is an excellent alternative, I’d even say I like it more, but it doesn’t last as long or project as much. Scarlet is beautiful, sweet, feminine, sparkling, and looks great in winter. For me, the pear also feels a bit synthetic, and the honey note is very similar to the one in Lady Gaga’s Fame. The cap is stunning, the spray is excellent; it shouldn’t have been discontinued. In the end, it is somewhat vintage like all Cacharel perfumes with an old essence; based on the notes, I expected something more youthful and versatile. Cher is, but this musk and honey make it more elegant, compatible for me and my mother without a doubt.

  • Candycandy40

I really liked it; it smelled very sweet and feminine. I don’t understand why they discontinued it; it’s a real shame.

  • locadelosperfumes

I had it several years ago. It never really won me over. I liked the bottle more. It’s discontinued. For those who like it, if you live in Argentina, you can find a very similar perfume called Cher Dieciseis.

  • Candycandy40

I liked it a lot, it smelled very sweet and feminine. I don’t understand why they discontinued it, it’s a real shame.

  • The first formula where Cacharel started playing with sweet recipes. It was a cozy, slightly fruity honey sweet. It was like a pear and honey tart to enjoy with tea, as the bottle indicated because it was a custard tart.

  • curry_curcuma

I loved it and kept it until there wasn’t even half a drop left in the bottle 🙁 It was heartbreaking not to be able to replenish it; it was very special to me and at the same time very easy to wear.

  • Does anyone know of a successful clone (in Spain)? It was my friend’s favorite perfume and we’ve been searching for it. I’ve read here that ‘Cher Dieciseis’ will be a clone in Argentina, but I haven’t found it. Thank you!

  • Aromadicciones

I managed to get this gem in 2023 and it smells like many flowers. Very realistic orange blossom and jasmine, that’s what I perceive most on my skin. Maybe at first it sounds sweet with a hint of green, but the white flowers keep taking over.

  • One of the most beautiful perfumes Alberto Morillas has ever created. Extremely feminine, for a beautiful, relaxed, brave woman who cares about nothing more than being happy. A sweet floral without being gourmand, a nectar of flowers, pleasant, versatile, a dream… In times when white florals weren’t as overused as they are today. The bottle itself was a work of art, like hand-carved, reminding me of Japanese craftsmanship, the contrast between that vibrant, youthful coral red and the pure, neat, and elegant white. I remember it with so much nostalgia; I hope Cacharel surprises us with this perfume again.

The moment I applied it, I thought of love… but nothing like that. When I truly smelled it, tears came to my eyes remembering those jasmine and lemon balm flowers my grandmother always kept in her ceramic vases by the bed. It’s gorgeous. It has a tea note that lasts an hour before giving way to that deep, freshly cut jasmine, with that lime touch that reminds me of that lemon balm. I imagine those little sticky stamens of the lemon balm. It moved me too much. Thank you, Cacharel. Since it’s not a vanilla scent, it’s for hot weather, but honestly, it’s spectacular on these cool 20°C days in CDMX. The cap is special; that’s why I bought it. I debuted it after a year and it makes me happy.
