Have you worn Satine?

Tell us how it opens, how it settles on your skin, how long it lasts and when you wear it.

  1. What a treat for almost every sense. It smells like an elegant floral taffy with a touch of pink pepper, bergamot, jasmine, and caramelized gardenia, paired with exquisite, gentle vanilla. It’s as if you were born in a green and violet forest of patchouli and heliotrope, crisscrossed by paths of tonka bean seeds. Satine, you are a gourmand patchouli dressed up for a gala: you’ve painted your lips with a Prada lipstick, offering scented ‘Candies’ instead of words. You’ve brushed your hair with a comb that stole the wind from the Shalimar gardens, offering a floral and pink pepper breeze that never stops. You’ve wrapped yourself in a stole of the sweetest pink, ‘Pink Sugar’, cocooning yourself with its cotton candy, like spider silk. And you’ve dressed only in wings: those of the most beautiful and light ‘Angel’, which barely cover you but whose soft patchouli feathers caress and overwhelm you. Satine, you are all of this and more… or less? Because sometimes less is more. And you, all alone, are a Deity.

Luxury perfume, but soft. Satine is exactly as its name suggests: soft as satin fabric in lingerie and underwear. Its color is pink, though it doesn’t contain rose. It has jasmine, heliotrope, gardenia, vanilla, pink pepper, sandalwood, vetiver, and patchouli. On my skin, heliotrope, gardenia, and vanilla stand out. It’s a very sweet and delicate fragrance. The pink pepper adds a bit of flavor along with the patchouli, but it’s not strong, nor is the sandalwood. All the notes are soft, like clouds of vapor and body or face powder. I love this glass bottle in my favorite color. It’s one of the perfumes that adorns my vanity in the bedroom. I recommend it to women who like soft, simple, sweet fragrances but with a seductive twist. As I’m a vedette, I see it as perfect for wearing before a show. I love this Satine so much.

  3. What a beauty for almost every sense. You are an elegant pink-pepper floral gummy that smells of bergamot, jasmine, and gardenia, caramelized by exquisite vanilla. Satine: you are a patchouli-gourmand dressed in gala, with Prada lips and perfumed candies instead of words. You’ve combed your hair with a brush that stole the wind from the Shalimar gardens, offering a breeze of flowers and pink pepper. You’ve wrapped yourself in a cloak of sweet rose, like cotton candy, and dressed yourself only in the wings of a light angel that caresses you with soft patchouli feathers. I bought it blind, trusting the reviews, and had high hopes. It’s a sweetness that’s almost cloying, but it’s worth trying. The first impression is pleasant and subtle, though it stays there. I’m not sure if it lasts a short time or if it’s so light it forgets it’s even there. It doesn’t project, doesn’t linger, and doesn’t call attention. Not even for sleeping, man. It sits on my shelf and disappoints me again. For those who aren’t into subtleties, don’t even try; it’s almost frustrating. *Edit*: Indeed, it’s pleasant for sleeping. Now that it’s summer, it feels different; I was surprised when I hung my pajamas after washing them and the scent was still noticeable.

This was a blind buy, thinking it would be similar to Le Parfum but less imposing; what it actually reminds me of is Jungle L’Elephant, softer and more wearable than this one. Great! I love L’Elephant, but I only wear it at home or for sleeping; it seems too strong and marked for wearing out with people. I can actually wear this all day. Hello and Happy 2016 to everyone. New review: putting one on each wrist makes them less similar. Although Satine has something in common, it is much less spicy and gourmand than L’Elephant. The truth is, I really like it, just like every other Lalique perfume I’ve tried so far.

It’s a satin, smooth, and soft aroma, like the fabric itself, yet bright and a true delight for the nose. Heliotrope, vanilla, pink pepper, and gardenia stand out on my skin. At first, it’s floral, innocent, and powdery, then a perfect sandalwood base emerges. I’d rate it as a floral-vanilla, powdery, and woody scent without being heavy. It lives up to its name: bright and smooth as satin. The trail is moderate and the longevity exceeds my expectations. Ideal for everyday wear, fresh mornings, or going to bed in winter. A little gem that’s staying in my collection; I’d even love to get a backup bottle.

It was a blind purchase thinking it would be similar to Le Parfum but less bold; what it actually reminds me of is Jungle L’Elephant, softer and more wearable. Great. I love L’Elephant, but I only wear it at home or for sleeping; it seems too strong to wear out. This one I can wear all day. Hello and happy 2016 to everyone. New review: wearing one on each wrist, they aren’t as similar anymore. Although Satine has something to do with it, it’s much less spicy and gourmand than L’Elephant. The truth is, I like it a lot, just like I’ve been doing with every Lalique perfume I’ve tried so far.

I’m editing and deleting my previous message where I said it reminded me of Lolita L; I don’t know why it seemed so familiar the first time. Now, at night, calm and freshly showered, I’ve given it another chance, and it has changed completely; I can perfectly smell the gardenia, tonka bean, and vanilla, along with a very soft patchouli. In short, a perfume I really like. Sometimes you have to give things several chances, and this time it was right to do so; I’m glad I bought it.

  9. I bought it blindly online and really appreciate your designs; I couldn’t find a tester even at El Corte Inglés. It was too spicy at first for my taste—I love vanilla, and the heliotrope blends well since I like that too, but the patchouli or the pepper just don’t work for me. In the end, when I like it the most, after three hours it fades quickly. We’re still getting to know each other; I don’t know if it will be a slow burn of love. For now, it’s been with me for a few days.

  10. I bought it blind online; I value your reviews greatly and couldn’t find a tester anywhere, not even at El Corte Inglés. Too spicy for my taste at first; I love vanilla and it pairs well with heliotrope, but both patchouli and pink pepper don’t suit me. In the end, when I like it the most, it fades quickly after three hours. We’re just getting to know each other; I don’t know if it will be a slow burn love. For now, it’s been with me for a few days.

Correction to my previous comment where I said it reminded me of Lolita L—I don’t know why it sounded so familiar at first. Now, on a quiet night after a fresh shower, I gave it another try, and it changed completely; I can now smell the gardenia, tonka bean, and vanilla along with a very soft patchouli. All in all, a perfume I absolutely love. Sometimes you need to give a scent a few chances, and this time I got it right. Glad I bought it 🙂

Very nice scent. At first, you can detect the tonka bean, followed by vanilla. What lingers is that vanilla blended with patchouli. To me, it feels like the light version of Le Parfum, which is also a delight.

Simply delicious. I tried it and was given a sample; it smells incredible, I can’t describe it, I hadn’t smelled anything like it, but I loved it, I want it. The only downside is the very high price.

Very lovely scent. At first, the tonka bean, then the vanilla. What lasts the longest is the vanilla with patchouli. In my opinion, it’s the light version of Le Parfum, which is also a delight.
