It’s a beautiful, elegant rose fragrance with a green opening. As it dries down, it becomes slightly powdery and reminds me of Florabotanica by Balenciaga, though this one feels more herbal and fresh. Both are perfect for the office and warm days, with moderate sillage and about 4 hours of longevity on my skin. Edit: Over time, it stops smelling like Florabotanica; the rose shines in its most natural state as a true soloist. Only for rose lovers, and I’m definitely one of them.
Rosa Moceniga is a lovely, pleasant rose perfect for spring and summer. It opens happily with sweet bergamot, then dries into a velvety, intense rose with a fresh green touch. The lotus adds an aquatic note that makes it refreshing. It’s elegant, feminine, and has presence. Too bad it only lasts about two hours on my skin. While the first hour is enjoyable with moderate sillage, it doesn’t justify buying the full bottle. The Merchant of Venice usually offers great value with original scents and beautiful packaging, but this didn’t win me over. Scent 7.5/10, Longevity 2/10, Sillage 6.5/10, Value 3/10, Versatility 4/10, Packaging 10/10. Would I buy it again? No.
