  • This is the most gourmand thing I own. It smells like burnt sugar at first, then gives the impression of having crème catalana right in front of you. The trail is very wide, it’s potent, and the longevity is quite commendable. I categorize it as a true walking dessert; if you’re into gourmand perfumes, this one in particular might enchant you. The downside is that in summer it can feel very heavy, and sometimes you don’t find the ideal occasion to wear it.

  • The first time I tried it, it left me almost speechless, which is hard to achieve. At first spray, it seemed alcoholic, and knowing Kari’s review, I thought it wasn’t the most gourmand in my collection. I was half wrong: I discovered it in just a few seconds. Although it’s not the only one, it’s on the podium with other deliciously edible scents. It’s a gourmand that Luca Turin would appreciate; it doesn’t stay as a dessert scent, it offers much more. The notes smell great combined: rum, acacia, incense, sage, rosemary, labdanum, vanilla, amber… Wait, how do I distinguish all of them? The only thing I don’t detect is agarwood, which I love, but given how rich it is, I don’t miss it. The result is extremely sweet. Moderate-to-high trail and over 12 hours longevity. It’s not very versatile due to its potency, better for winter, autumn, or fresh spring days. I made myself brave and wore it in summer, and I could, but it’s not the most appropriate option. As for the name, being the daughter of an Andalusian, it doesn’t bring me back to the land. Perhaps the only thing I criticize. Although it handles notes from Córdoba (my mother): incense, sage, rosemary, labdanum… the result is too sweet. For me, Andalusia smells like jasmine, night-blooming jasmine, or meditative ecclesiastical incense. The inspiration isn’t just Andalusia, but the trade route between Venice, southern Spain, and North Africa. After receiving Asian Inspiration and Flower Fusion, I wanted to know more about the house and found a magnificent discovery kit: 6 fragrances of 5ml (bravo to The Merchant of Venice for the size) for 30 euros. I decided to buy it to order a 50ml later paying only 60€, since the 30 are redeemable. I haven’t tried the other 5 yet, but I think they have a tough rival in Andalusian Soul. It seems that, after leaving me speechless the first time, this perfume has given me back the desire to talk. Scent 9.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 8.5/10, Value 8/10, Versatility 5/10, Packaging 10/10. Would I buy again? Yes.

Delicious! It has a smoky dry-down that is absolutely rich; I’m glad I got it (plus a small discount). It’s the first from this house in my collection, very happy.

When Kari said this was a walking dessert, pure crème catalana, my eyes lit up. A few months later, on a trip to Barcelona, I tried it and was initially disappointed: too alcoholic. But over time, that sweetness and captivating aroma made it impossible not to keep my nose close to it. I spent the whole afternoon with it. Although it didn’t fascinate me as much as I imagined, the dry-down conquered me, and I promised to buy it. A year later, thanks to sales, it’s mine. ‘Andalusian Soul’ is better than I remembered: a hyper-alcoholic opening that is disorienting, followed by aromatic chords and a honey-like sweetness. Quickly, an intense and delicious licorish vanilla appears. In the dry-down, the amber gives it beautiful warmth and depth. Nothing animal, it’s spicy, balsamic, and slightly smoky. I imagine custard or caramel pudding with a Bailey’s-style liqueur and bursts of smoke; it’s not the crème catalana I dreamed of, but it’s exquisite. Intoxicating, sweet, sensual, elegant. So comforting and warm like a hug. It’s like carrying the southern sunset in your hands! Ideal for autumn/winter. Moderate trail and brutal longevity, over 8 hours. It’s almost unbeatable, a beast mode. If it catches your eye, try it; the house has a great discovery set at a good price. They take great care of the presentation, and the bottles are gorgeous! They deserve more attention. Maybe it won’t steal your heart instantly, but if you give it a chance, it will conquer your soul little by little.

When Kari called it a walking dessert, pure crème catalana, my eyes lit up. I tried it in Barcelona months later and was initially disappointed by its strong alcohol note, but then that captivating sweetness emerged, forcing me to keep it close to my nose all day. Although it wasn’t as wild as I imagined, the dry-down conquered me, and I promised myself I’d buy it. A year later, thanks to sales, it’s finally mine. ‘Andalusian Soul’ opens with a hyper-alcoholic burst that leaves me speechless, followed by aromatic accords and a honeyed sweetness. Soon, an intense, delicious boozy vanilla arrives. In the dry-down, amber adds precious warmth and depth. It doesn’t smell animalic; it’s spicy, balsamic, and slightly smoky. I imagine custard or caramel pudding with Bailey’s liqueur and bursts of smoke; it’s not the crème catalana I dreamed of, but it’s exquisite. It’s intoxicating, sweet, sensual, and elegant, as comforting as a hug. It’s like carrying the southern sunset in your hands! Perfect for autumn/winter. Moderate sillage and beast mode longevity, lasting over 8 hours. If you’re interested, give it a try, because as Taurien says, this house has a great discovery set at a good price. They really care about presentation, and the bottles are beautiful! They deserve more attention. Maybe ‘Andalusian Soul’ won’t steal your heart instantly, but if you give it a chance, it will conquer your soul little by little.

  • A few months ago, I heard this perfume at a niche perfumery here. In Argentina, accessing these perfumes is difficult, let alone testing them before buying. I’d never heard of this house, but the bottles caught my eye. I smelled a few more striking ones, but this was the one I liked the most. I decided on another that day, but ‘Andalusian Soul’ remained a huge pending purchase. I didn’t wait long to buy it. Now, after using about 10ml of the 100ml bottle, I say I absolutely love it. It’s beautiful for fresh days when you want the warmth of Andalusia on your skin. It smells like rum cake and vanilla, but it has a note that stands out a lot on my skin (I think it’s labdanum) that cuts the sweetness and makes it spicy. I wish the rum note lasted longer, because in the opening it has a lot of power, but then it fades and blends with everything, getting lost a bit. • A few months ago, I had the chance to smell this perfume at a niche perfumery in our country. Here in Argentina, it’s not easy to access these perfumes, let alone test them before buying. Sincerely, I’d never heard of this house before, and the beautiful bottles caught my eye. I smelled others that were more striking, but this was the one I liked the most. However, that day I decided on another, but Andalusian Soul stayed in my mind as a great pending purchase. I didn’t wait long to get the bottle. Now, having used about 10ml of the 100ml it comes with, I can say I like it a lot. It’s a beautiful perfume for fresh days, where you want to have the warmth of Andalusia on your skin. It’s like a rum and vanilla cake, but it has a note that stands out a lot on my skin (I think it’s labdanum) that cuts through that sweetness, making it slightly spicy. I wish the rum note lasted longer on my skin like it does in the opening where it feels very potent, but unfortunately, it fades and blends too much with the other notes, losing a bit of its presence. • It smelled like vanilla flan to me. When the sales associate showed it to me and I mentioned the association, her face lit up as she said, ‘You’re right.’ Maybe others don’t agree, but seeing how it’s linked to a dessert, it led me specifically to that one. A delicious gourmand, a great companion for cold days.

This perfume is an absolute treat, but I always thought it had sandalwood in it; I’m really bothered by that. Does anyone else experience this?

Could it be that Andalusian blood runs through my veins? This fragrance has captivated me in a way I can’t explain. Enveloping, deep, delicious. The incense note along with the rum takes center stage. It conveys an overwhelming warmth. Sincerely, it’s one of my favorite perfumes.

  • An elegant and subtle perfume, vanilla with a hint of rum. To me, it smells like sandalwood, even though it’s not listed, and I don’t detect civet. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s a delight for any occasion. The bottle is worthy of M.O.V, a collector’s piece with magic 😊

  • ELEGANT AND SUBTLE PERFUME. VANILLA WITH A LITTLE RUM. AND IF I FEEL LIKE SOMEONE HERE MENTIONED SANDALWOOD EVEN IF IT’S NOT DECLARED. I DON’T FEEL ANY CIVET. WHILE IT’S NOT INNOVATIVE, IT’S A DELIGHT FOR EVERY OCCASION. AND ITS BOTTLE IS WORTHY OF M.O.V. COLLECTION. IT HAS MAGIC 😊
