Fresh and soapy, very linear without complexities. For an extrait, the longevity isn’t what you’d expect; it feels like the odd one out in the Nasomatto family. It offers nothing new, smells like supermarket shampoo, and could easily sell for 30 euros. It has a faint floral note at the end, but it’s a neutral, pure fragrance. Perfect for warm weather and casual outings. Unisex. I like it, yes, but the price isn’t justified.
Clean and soapy, very linear with no real surprises. Low performance for an extrait; perhaps the one that fits least in the Nasomatto house. Smells great and is easy to wear, but it fades quickly, like a generic brand shampoo that costs 30 euros. A slight floral touch when it dries, but at its core it’s neutral and crisp, just soapy. Ideal for heat and casual days. Unisex. I like it, yes, but I don’t recommend paying the price.
A work of art in simplicity. A beautiful scent, truly beautiful. The best of its family for being at the opposite pole of Nasomatto’s “Adn.” When everyone shouts, she stays silent, waiting for you to discover her so she can whisper the sweetest words only to you. Clean and honest aroma. Totally in love. Cheers, perfumist family.
A masterpiece of simplicity. A truly beautiful scent. It’s the best in the family because it’s the opposite of the Nasomatto DNA. While everyone shouts, this one stays silent, waiting for you to discover it and whisper its best qualities to your ear. Clean, honest, and utterly captivating. A warm greeting to the perfumery family.
Clean, crystal clear, and uncomplicated, minimalist composition, neutral, synthetic scent but with quality. It’s a simple and pleasant fragrance, perhaps one of the best in clean scents. Excessive price: 150 USD for 30 mL. Rating: ★★★★☆
A white musk with hints of fruit and synthetic wood. I find it pleasant, though a bit bland. I could see it well for daily use, but obviously, the price doesn’t allow it. For exceptional use, it seems too unmemorable and worthy. Although pleasant, it remains excessively flat and apathetic—and possibly discreet to the point of boredom. I’m not interested at all.
White musk that, by name, has a metallic hint at first… ideal for places where strong scents seem jarring (note: doctors and gynecologists). It doesn’t turn heads but is very pleasant, ideal for spring and daytime. The price seems good to me because a few applications achieve what it aims for.
Today I’m talking about a splendid exception. And of Achilles and the tortoise. First, the house Nasomatto frustrates me. Their proposals are excellent olfactory experiences but problematic perfumes. For example, Baraonda smells like whiskey from start to finish. The scent is pleasant and well-made, that sweet, woody whiskey we associate with parties and friends. It’s a high-quality whiskey, not cheap stuff. Sometimes I open the bottle in the perfumery and it smells sublime. But I never buy it. Why? Because I can’t imagine going through life smelling like whiskey voluntarily. Smelling the same as when you step out of a pub at 3 AM after downing a drink. Are you going to smell like liquor at work, on a date, at a ceremony, camping, running, or at church? Sure, the seasoned reader might have a list of uses for Baraonda, but I haven’t found any. Something similar happens with other Nasomatto proposals. I struggle to choose one I don’t dislike, but even more so to pull out my card to buy and use it. Until we reach the exception. Silver Musk. Musk-based niche perfumes with a soapy base have a bad reputation: they seem too simple for their price, don’t last long, and leave no distinctive mark. The average person prefers to be recognized for the base of a Sauvage or YSL rather than one that smells like clean clothes, i.e., not wearing perfume. From a perfume, especially a niche one, we expect it to smell like perfume, not like not wearing it. Here’s the key: Silver Musk is the exception. All perfumes from the brand have an unmistakable olfactory signature, whether you like it or not, but it’s undeniable. Silver Musk gives you none. You simply smell clean, tidy, like you’re not wearing a 4-dollar-per-ml perfume. But it’s a splendid exception. Alessandro Gualtieri has turned a simple musk-based perfume into a exquisite creation, enhancing it with subtle fruity (maybe tangerine?) and woody (maybe cedar, sandalwood?) notes that give it a metallic coating that elevates it. It’s a metallic musk, but of a precious metal. Perhaps that’s where the “Silver” comes from. The perfume doesn’t evolve, progress, or unfold. It’s the same scent from start to finish. It leaves as it arrives, discreet and measured, proclaiming the elegance of simplicity without a fuss, leaving a captivating and hypnotic trail. Silver Musk is the only fragrance I’ve tried that I unequivocally call hypnotic. In the game of sensations, other perfumes have participated with mixed results. On Fragrantica, it’s compared to Etro Musk. Other options: Diptyque Fleur de Peau or Le Labo Musc 25 Los Angeles. All follow the musk path of Silver Musk but from a distance. They are more potent and impetuous, beating it on projection and longevity. But somehow, Silver Musk still stays ahead. It’s like the Zenon of Elea paradox, where Silver Musk is the tortoise and the rest of the white musks are Achilles, tirelessly running behind it. Achilles has strength, nerve, and vigor due to his formulations. He lasts, projects, and moves fast. But as he gains ground in elegance, Silver Musk, calmly, takes another step. And then another, and another. So indefinitely, always remaining first in distinction. Thanks to that Greek paradox from 2,500 years ago, I explain why no musk has been able or will be able to surpass Silver Musk. The Nasomatto perfume that doesn’t seem like Nasomatto. The one that smells like not wearing perfume.
Ultimately, it seduced me. The feeling of wearing nothing yet offering so much. A ‘virgin’ aroma. Just musk and elements that create unheard-of originality; here, less is more. From the start, it’s clean, soapy, and cozy. The dry down is brighter and slightly powdery. It gives an extreme sense of cleanliness, like wearing a long linen shirt, freshly showered, without underwear, on a day without sweat. You feel that way all the time, with a breeze, no luxuries or jewelry. Extremely relaxing and non-intrusive. Could this be the perfume of angels? It works less in the cold; I associate it with a soft breeze and sun. Great for the office and semi-formal occasions, but a joy to wear at home. Performance is good and projection is just right. It’s second skin, virgin, and clean. The price… well, it’s Nasomatto, but at public retail, it seems out of reach.
It has finally seduced me. That feeling of wearing nothing yet offering so much. A “virgin” aroma. Just musk and elements that give it an unheard-of originality… sometimes people seek to surprise with many notes, but here we do the opposite. By reducing everything to the minimum, it’s a marvel. From the start, the musk is there—clean, soapy, and welcoming. The dry down is brighter, and the base slightly powdery. And that’s it. It gives an extreme sense of cleanliness. Like wearing a long linen shirt, freshly showered, without underwear, on a day without sweat. You feel that way all the time. The breeze blows, you feel clean, without luxuries, no jewelry, no watch, no glasses. Nothing. Extremely relaxing, non-intrusive, just to feel good… could it be the perfume of angels? It works less in the cold; I associate it with a soft breeze and gentle sun. Great for the office and semi-formal settings. But it’s a joy to wear at home. It performs well and projects just enough. It’s a virgin, clean second skin. Now, the price… it’s Nasomatto, but at a normal price, it seems out of this world.
Clean scent, slightly soapy, and as they say, “crystal clear.” The musk dominates, but I’d bet it carries iris and rose to add purity and a white elegance, with citrus notes to keep it light. It’s like a beautiful second skin; ideal if you prefer smelling like soap rather than cologne. It’s not a harsh or coarse soap, but subtle and delicate. An exclusive fragrance, more complex than it appears. Suitable for any age or gender, even kids. Perfect for daytime, spring, summer, casual, or semi-formal occasions. Moderate projection and very good longevity. The price is outrageous for 30 ml, but justified by the quality. Definitely one of the best clean scents.
It smells clean, like fine soap, with a touch of talc and that metallic musk. It reminds me of Prada L’Homme but with less iris and more synthetic molecules, which I can’t quite explain. Well, but it’s very expensive and smells like bath soap or shampoo. Prada L’Homme is better—more long-lasting and richer 💯🆗.
Sometimes less is more. A super simple perfume that I love. Linear, it smells the same from the moment you apply it until it fades; a clean musky base like fabric softener with fresh, metallic, and slightly floral touches. Simple to the max, but everyone likes it because it’s the one that smells the most ‘clean’ I’ve tried. Wearable all year round and for any occasion. Wearing it feels like purity, like just stepping out of the shower in a freshly ironed white shirt, and that feeling lasts the 6 hours it endures. Scent: 9.5/10. Longevity: 5-6h. Projection: 6.5/10. Versatility: 10/10.
Less is more, right? It’s a super simple scent that I absolutely love. It’s linear, smelling the same from the first spray until it fades; a clean musk base, like fabric softener, with fresh, metallic, and slightly floral touches. Simple to the max, but it’s the cleanest-smelling thing I’ve tried yet, and everyone will like it. Wear it all year, anywhere. Wearing it feels like being freshly showered in a crisp white shirt, and that sensation lasts the full 6 hours this Silver Musk offers—a solid duration for its type of scent. Scent: 9.5/10. Longevity: 5-6h. Projection: 6.5/10. Versatility: 10/10.
Imagine standing alone in front of a modern mansion window, cold and silent, overlooking a calm sea under a cloudy yet peaceful sky. That’s this perfume: a feeling of distant freshness and profound tranquility.
Imagine standing alone in front of a window in an empty, modern, cold, and quiet mansion, watching the serene sea under a cloudy but peaceful sky. That is this perfume: a distant sensation of very peaceful freshness.
