Does any Argentine millennial remember? In the 90s, Sedal shampoo was great, not like it is now. It came in art deco bottles with rainbow caps. The Sedal ‘Free’ was the only translucent one, made of frosted plastic with a hot pink cap, marketed for oily hair without conditioner. The rest required a creamy rinse. The liquid was clear and pink, unlike the opaque and pearlescent ones in the line. The scent of Sedal Free was identical to Ralph. We’re talking mid-90s, starting from 1992. Maybe around 1999 or 2000, other designs appeared and that Barbie-esque ‘Free’ was discontinued. It was my favorite for washing my hair in the summer, and since then, I lost all trace of it. As an adult, in 2014, coming back from work, I found a full bottle of violet liquid lying on the sidewalk. I picked it up: it was Natura’s ‘Pitanga Preta’. I tried it and oh miracle! It was identical to Sedal Free. I didn’t hesitate to get a bottle. For me, it was a nostalgia storm, going back 20 years. As a guy, I used caution, especially on the head, to remember old times and feel like a kid just out of the pool in the summer. Then, reading about Pitanga Preta and this forum, I found the name of the ‘original’ that mimics it almost perfectly, as if they stole the formula from Ralph. What strikes me is that this composition existed before: olfactory memory doesn’t fail, it’s the same Sedal Free from the 90s. I wonder if Ralph isn’t the original either, if there was a prior designer perfume with this formula that was discarded for a shampoo, and then the perfumer revived that composition (didn’t invent it) and elevated it to an EDT for a designer brand. The performance is notable, it seems made specifically for shampoo longevity. Anyway, it’s immensely fresh, feminine but not obvious, almost asexual, elevated and sharp, well-blended to convey a concept beyond individual notes. A unique, original, and memorable fragrance.

The fruit juice cologne that ruled the 2000s. Refreshing and uplifting the moment you spray it, like drinking a Coke or orange juice in the middle of summer. The secret is osmanthus, that Japanese plant that smells like pleasant, sweetened fruit (also found in Sunflowers or Flora) and reminds you of apricot jam. It evokes summer, the pool, the beach, fruit popsicles, and pure enjoyment, even though the formula works year-round. Its diffuse balance between flowers and fruits has been imitated countless times. ‘Blue Cologne’ was a milestone in perfumery that fell in love with millions of teenagers and will remain a model of potent, smiling fruit cologne.

Love and hate in a fragrance. I think even though it’s ‘fresh’, on my skin it works better in autumn or at most spring; in summer it feels heavy on me. It’s true I’d gift it blindly, it’s pretty, but not on me, hehe. The best part is its projection, so if you want something that smells like summer but insist on using it on other dates without being overwhelming, this is the one 🙌🏻✨️ December 2025 and now knowing more scents, it’s the green apple note that makes this aroma so weird, I never quite close on the green apple note…

The dry down is soft with a light musk and white iris, close to the skin like a clean veil. Perfect for a casual, cheerful, and versatile perfume. It’s not complex, but that’s its charm: fresh, optimistic, and easy to wear.

It evolves with brown boronia, adding a watery and spicy nuance that keeps it from being flat, blended with a transparent, delicate white iris that isn’t powdery. It radiates joy, casual elegance, and a light, versatile girly vibe for warm weather without being cloying. My rating: 9/10. A fresh, floral fragrance with class for stylish everyday wear.

Hey, this one is super popular and a classic, sure it’s not new, BUT I still absolutely love it and putting it on always lifts my mood. I keep it in my collection for the seasons… when I feel like wearing it, the bottle lasts a month, and then suddenly I forget about it until years later when I see it again and… ❤️ …just like summer romances, you only remember them in the summer, but how beautiful they are, right? That’s exactly this perfume!

It’s an aquatic floral. If you like refreshing perfumes with a clean scent, this is for you. You’ll love it. Perfect for summer. It lasts no more than 6 hours on clothes and has moderate projection. If you like yellow freesia, magnolia, and apple with a touch of tangerine, this is yours. Those are the notes that stand out most. For unbearable heat, it’s a great option. You’ll feel freshly showered.

I think it’s super fruity and youthful. At first, it smells like ripe pineapple, perfect for daytime, especially in the heat. It’s not overwhelming, which is a huge plus. However, on my skin, it doesn’t have great longevity, which is a shame. Despite this, it’s a good perfume, although it’s not groundbreaking and you probably won’t get many compliments. It’s more for feeling comfortable.

Super feminine, fruity, and sweet fragrance. It’s linear and versatile for any occasion. Ideal for spring/summer because I feel fresh wearing it. I get the same scent as Rexona Tropical deodorant, haha. Still, I love it for its price and quality; I recommend it 100%. As an EDT, it lasts a long time! I think anyone would like this scent. Recommended as a gift or blind buy.

It’s fresh, a floral-fruit blend, soft and pleasant, however on my skin it lasts very little, I can barely detect it for a maximum of an hour, even when I’ve applied it on others, they have the same minimum performance, trail, and longevity. I wouldn’t buy it again for that reason; it’s too expensive for what the fragrance offers.

“What a beautiful perfume.” It’s a fresh, fruity scent that’s nothing common, in the true Ralph style. I used it years ago and still miss it; I wore it and felt proud to have it on. It was my first discovery of fruity perfumes, which I absolutely love. I’d love to have it back; it’s unforgettable to me.

I like it; it seems nice and quite original, but there’s a note I can’t identify that gives it a herbal touch I hate completely. It’s not bad, but I prefer the freshness of Natura’s Ekos Pitanga Preta, which are similar but the Natura one feels nicer and is much more affordable.

An excellent fragrance for warm weather, the kind that gives you energy. Fresh and citrusy. If you want something cheaper that smells the same, I recommend Latin Attitude by Avon. In my opinion, Pitanga Preta by Natura doesn’t resemble this one; it’s sweeter.

I forgot it even existed until I found and bought it. It’s not fresh, but sweet and fruity with a clean, playful touch. Used to vanilla, patchouli, and the countless dupes of Bacarat, this little Ralph is a carefree proposal that I absolutely love.

It was my favorite perfume for several years until they changed the formula, and now it lasts nothing :'(. Literally, I would have worn it my whole life if it still had the same sillage and longevity. People always envied it.
