Paradigme Le Parfum by Prada

Prada Paradigme Le Parfum is an oriental, ambery, and balsamic fragrance. Its opening is aromatic and floral, with fleeting citrus. In less than 5 minutes, balsamic notes develop and give it body, with a slightly smoky, vanilla-like, and resinous touch. This stage lasts for a good while, but over time it balances out with amber notes and a note that gives a soapy sensation, which is very Prada. And it stays like that for a couple more hours until the end of its development. This fragrance is suited for daytime, evening, and nighttime use, but preferably on cold days or in seasons like autumn and winter, or for romantic outings or with a partner, since it also has a sensual effect in its scent. Its longevity was very good, lasting more than 10 hours with a moderate sillage. For me, it’s an improved version of the first Paradigme, which although it smells good didn’t convey much emotion to me; however, I really liked this one. At times it brought back a memory of the discontinued Prada Amber Intense, especially when the balsamic notes are very present. The difference is that Paradigme Le Parfum uses tolu balsam, while Prada Amber Intense used myrrh. In the end, the opinion that counts is that everyone should try the fragrance and decide if they like it.

Good grief ….. They say it smells like Valentino BIR Intense; it’s nowhere near it. I don’t know whether these people own the Valentino or only smelled it in a store. I suspect the latter. This is not Valentino; it’s a dark perfume. It doesn’t go for bubblegum, nor lavender, and it isn’t sweet, or at least far less than the Valentino. This one is a little sweet from the vanilla, but that’s it. My take: I’ve been wearing it on the back of my hand for about 4 hours, and I sprayed quite a bit to be able to smell it properly. At first it resembles the original, just enough for you to know it does come from the original; something remains, but not much. In the middle, let’s say it’s a mishmash of the original scent, but it becomes more balsamic and the vanilla becomes more prominent, the citrus is toned down, and in the drydown it reminds me a lot of the drydown of Boss Bottled Absolu. To my nose, that’s the inspiration they took. It’s not the same; I think Hugo Boss is more complex and denser, but the drydown smell is very similar. As I said, you can really tell who they want to imitate. In short, for me it’s a hybrid perfume put together on paper — zero creativity, zero expectations, zero personality, for kids going to their end-of-year graduation. Now the worst thing is the scandalous amount they’re charging for this crap: €70 for 50 ml, and get this: €100 for 100 ml. I wouldn’t pay that if I were out of my mind; it’s armed robbery. If you want something similar but better, Boss Bottled Absolu — cheaper, better scent, average longevity. I liked the Elixir more, but Absolu is delicious. Anyone who says again that it’s Valentino BIR Intense can go take a dump.👋😎

I tried it in a department store, I found it to be a better scent than the EDP, in this one you don’t perceive the geranium as much, it perceives sweeter. It’s a perfume that will give you many compliments, that will be very pleasant, when I asked the opinion of some friends they said they loved it. I won’t buy it because I have Valentino BIR Intense and in the drydown I perceive it VERY similar. It would be very redundant to have both, but if I didn’t have it, I would definitely buy it.
