Oud, vanilla, and a hint of rose. It reminds me of Oud Satin Mood from afar; basically, those are the three notes I detect. It seems less polished than the MFK, with something a bit harder (not sure if due to the oud or lower/synthetic quality), whereas Satin is always silkier. Maybe this Ted Lapidus performs less, but watch out: the Satin Extrait is a bomb, and this Oud Blanc lasts just as long.
I couldn’t stand it for even a day. I waited 5 months to get back to it, and now that I have it, I absolutely love it and use it over and over again.
Brutal fragrance for scent, longevity, and sillage, with an insane price-to-performance ratio. Smells like dusty rose with saffron, very musky with a base of vanilla, woods, and patchouli. Although marketed as unisex, it’s clearly feminine. It’s the refined, blindingly white version of the house’s pitch-black Oud Noir, which is a dark fragrance bomb with leather, incense, smoke, and a hyper-masculine oud. Oud Blanc isn’t for kids or twenty-somethings, watch out. Even though it costs 20 bucks, it demands character, a sober style, and a certain mature feminine presence. Without smelling like grandma, it reminds me of classic, mythical women’s fragrances from the last century by Guerlain or YSL. I grabbed it blindly on Notino for the ridiculous price and to complete my Ted Lapidus collection, and after smelling it, I gifted it to my girlfriend. She was happier than a clam.
