Projection and longevity are insane—easily over 12 hours and noticeable from two meters away. It’s elegant yet perfect for everyday wear. It has an animalic touch that gives it character and smells absolutely amazing. One of my favorites.

At first, the sample didn’t grab me; I liked the iris but felt it was missing something. Months later, I tried it again and changed my mind: now I notice incredible complexity and evolution. It’s an ‘crushed’ iris taken to another level—animal, green, and sweet, very innovative and superior to Dior, Givenchy, or Prada. Performance is unbeatable: over 12 hours on easy-to-spray skin with brutal projection for the first 5 hours. It’s the best of my 60+ perfumes. Highly recommended, it has the vibe of a standout professional, making a presence without being overwhelming. If you find it, try a decant. 10/10.

One of my favorites that opened me up to ‘niche’ fragrance. I was hooked when a sales associate at Regia Perfumeries sprayed it on me. It’s deceptive: at first, it seems fresh, green, and woody, but after five minutes, it turns lactonic, sweet, earthy, dirty, and dark. This phase is mind-blowing. In the end, it settles into a vanilla, luminous, and rich finish. The talc-like iris sensation lasts about two hours. It’s a compliment magnet with brutal projection and sillage. A few sprays can be overwhelming due to fatigue, so I alternate it. My partner loves it and calls it ‘wombat pee’ because of the civet note. It’s one of the iris fragrances I enjoy most, and I’d take it to a deserted island.

I’m an iris lover, so this is a great perfume. Maybe it just didn’t have much iris mixed with that animal spark this one has. I own Dior, Givenchy, Prada, etc., but this gives a little extra kick. It lasts about eight hours on my skin; when it dries down, it stays cleaner without losing the little something that makes it special in my collection. I grabbed it during a sale and I’m very happy so far.

I’ll admit I’m an iris fan, so this is definitely a perfume. Maybe I just didn’t have that same animalic spark mixed with the iris before. I own Dior, Givenchy, Prada, etc., but this one gives me an extra kick. Lasts about eight hours on my skin. Once it dries down, it settles into a cleaner tone without losing the little something that makes it stand out in my collection. I grabbed it on sale and went for it. Very happy with it 😉

I really like Oikb for that animalic base note that gives me energy and the iris it carries. The sweetness of the tonka is very pleasant. It lasts a long time with just a few sprays, and the quality-to-price ratio is more than reasonable. 100% recommended.

I usually don’t like iris perfumes, but this makes me rethink it. It’s elegant, delicious, floral with a clean leather note. It’s not quite my total favorite to buy the full bottle, but enough to wear in the office once in a while.

I agree with other reviews: it’s a more ‘vegetal’ iris, though animalic, less feminine and more ‘raw,’ which distances it from repetitive iris scents like Dior, Prada, Givenchy, or Narciso. It’s a very particular scent that’s impossible to miss, and women love it, perhaps especially those over 35 because it’s complex and sophisticated. More masculine than unisex, and more versatile than other iris-based fragrances. Comparing it to Dior Homme Parfum seems like a mistake; they’re completely different. Sillage and longevity are brutal. Congratulations to this young perfumer!

I smelled it by chance and was surprised from the very first moment. I couldn’t distinguish the notes in the dry-down, but it’s clear it’s a very well-blended and rounded composition with evident quality. A few days later, I tried it on my skin again, and the magic appeared. The opening is addictive: lavender with iris and the sweetness of tonka. It’s not a clean iris or a makeup scent; it’s a middle ground mixed with the elements mentioned. After a few hours, the lavender fades, and the leather enters with a slightly animalic touch—not very pronounced but there—maintaining the sweetness and creaminess of the iris mixed with leather and a hint of spice. It’s like the spark of lavender disappears to let the leather dance with the other notes, which were noticeable from the start but weren’t the protagonists. It lasts over 8 hours with great projection; although I don’t feel it’s potent, the feedback is that it’s noticeable from at least 1.5 meters for at least 3 hours. Definitely one of my favorites, great quality, evolution, and fair price.

Brutal scent, impossible to dissect. Everything blends so seamlessly that nothing feels off. Iris dominates from start to finish, but it’s a different iris than I’ve tried before. I detect tonka bean, a touch of animalic notes, and a steel-like nuance. The vibe is unresolved sexual tension: you sense the heat without an explosion, all balanced and calm, transporting me to a familiar scene. Keep it up. This is perfume magic: no overkill, just so much depth. Nighttime, mature, for formal occasions and cold weather only. Not a beast mode, but it performs well without being loud. Buy it? No, I wouldn’t, but you have to try it. It’s amazing.

Amazing scent. I struggle to break down the notes because they’re so well integrated that nothing clashes. The iris is predominant, and I feel the entire development, but it’s different from anything I’ve tried. I detect tonka bean, the animalic touch, and an amber nuance. My sensation is like unresolved sexual tension. You can feel the sexual spark without it exploding, and it feels like a well-balanced, calming fragrance that transports me to that familiar scene. And I want it to stay that way. That’s the magic of perfume; without overthinking, there’s so much content here. Nocturnal, mature, for formal occasions, and avoid in extreme heat. It’s not beast mode; it performs well without standing out too much. Buy it, don’t hesitate. But you must try it. It’s great.

The opening is very green; at first, I thought I’d been given a cat instead of a rabbit with the decant. That couldn’t be right—I must have misidentified the notes. Now I think that green comes from the leather or some note not listed on Fragrantica. That sharp sensation doesn’t last long, and the scent settles down. That’s when I started to relax. Then, as it dries, the sweetness of tonka shines through, very pleasant, though it loses a bit of originality by moving into more commercial territory. It’s like a great blend of niche and designer. Other reviews highlight the animalic note, and it’s true, you can notice it if you think about it, but it’s well-mixed and doesn’t bother me. It’s one of those perfumes where I can’t pinpoint the notes, but it slowly wins me over and eventually hooks me. Much of the credit goes to that cute little animal called the civet. It piqued my curiosity, so I looked it up online: hyraceum, or African stone, the animal essence of petrified Cape Civet urine. As for performance, it’s very good with a nice trail. I see it as versatile. A great perfume if you can handle the challenging opening. It’s not cheap, so I recommend testing it before buying… and actually testing it because it has nothing to do with other iris perfumes I’ve tried.

Bought it blindly on a commission from a friend in Spain and it didn’t disappoint. It outshines Dior Homme Intense and Parfum a thousand times over. It’s a work of art, a wild, animalic opening that doesn’t suffocate but shouts, ‘Old man, here I am.’ A subtle leather and a charming iris, nothing made up. This iris is the lord of the night if it were music. Use it responsibly: two sprays are enough for a brutal projection; people say it’s noticeable from two meters away. Clothes soak it up, you wash them, and it still smells like OIKB. Smart purchase.

The iris is tricky to work with. Santi Burgas offers a dry, woody take here. It doesn’t follow the sweet line of Dior or Valentino, nor the floral vibe of Crivelli. The cedar makes the iris feel dry, lacking that typical buttery touch. Right out of the bottle, it smells like pure wood; the lavender and spices lift the drydown without dominating. I don’t detect animalic notes or leather. If there’s coumarin, it’s minimal, and a hint of vanilla in the drydown adds a creamy touch. The Timberol or similar gives it an amber character. It’s a good perfume, correct and sober, but it lacks the charm of other iris scents. Cheers.

Everyone has their tastes, and that’s normal. Sometimes we deny the truth because we think we’re being impartial, but this fragrance is beautiful. An iris that makes me dream. They’ve really gone all out here. OIKB is an ode to iris: persistent, rich, creamy, and buttery, almost cuttable. It brings me well-being; I feel good with myself, happy and shining in the light. Santi Burgas’s hand is powerful, never light. The softness of the iris warms up and lingers on the skin with lavender and spices, though the latter seem short-lived. A slight animalic touch rounds out the blend, mitigating the exuberance of the blue flower. It remains a poetic iris, one that calms and transports you to a world of light and magic, without that typical melancholy. If you love this note, it’s a must. Great work and superior performance. Applause.

I loved it ever since I tried it at a tasting session earlier this year. That iris note is very different from the Gentleman line. It has great longevity and projection. It’s gotten me many compliments, but mostly, it puts me in a great mood. Now it’s one of my favorites.

For me, the best perfume by Santi Burgas, and that’s saying a lot. Iris, leather, and lavender with very integrated animalic tones. It feels elegant, original, different, and versatile. It’s spectacular. It feels high quality, niche perfumery with a clear vision. The performance is superb. If you like these notes, you’ll be fascinated. It’s one of those perfumes I like more and more every day, climbing up my personal top list.

First impression? I’m not sure if I see myself wearing it yet. For now, it’s a ‘no’ lol. It doesn’t seem like an easy perfume, but the performance with just two sprays is amazing. The iris, especially at first, smells vegetal, almost like carrot. As it dries down, a smoky ambered tonka takes center stage with a weird undertone, maybe animalic. It has brilliance and presence, but with its character, it’s not for everyone. I recommend giving it a try at least.

Let me start by saying it’s not my usual style, but that doesn’t make it bad. The opening is very peculiar, nothing like other scents; it reminds me of when I was a kid at the campsite. Maybe the caravan, the van, or something beachy and poolside… a bit plastic. Then soft suede accords come through, like a dusty lipstick, settling into tonka and lavender. It’s neither sweet nor dry; it’s creamy. It’s potent, so I recommend being careful with the sprays and wearing it in cooler weather; in the heat, it could be overwhelming. It hovers between masculine and feminine, perhaps leaning slightly more toward the latter.

DIFFERENT AND ATTRACTIVE. A magnificent creation by Santi Burgas based on my favorite note, iris. It moved to my shelf after I tried it. The iris is prominent, but watch out: it’s not the Dior lipstick iris nor the soapy Prada one. Here it’s a mild blend of both, with more body, led by a style reminiscent of Masque Milano’s L’attesa: a buttery, unctuous, dense, and captivating iris that embraces all the notes. When it marries with our pituitaria, a velvety leather appears, slightly animalic and delicious, without making a fuss, accompanied by nutmeg, lavender, and tonka. I don’t notice many changes, but it doesn’t need them, as it’s enjoyable from start to finish. Performance is top-notch: medium/high projection and 8 to 9 hours of longevity. I see it as unisex, perfect for cool/cold climates and special occasions. Iris lovers, I don’t know what you’re waiting for. Bravo Santi, again. 5 stars.
