I think everything has already been said about this perfume, and from my point of view, I absolutely love it. It’s one of those that puts you in a great mood without any fuss. You just wear it whenever you feel like it, no overthinking required.

From the very first moment, the Valencia orange shines with an unusual warmth and brilliance, intoxicating. It’s not the cheerful mandarin or the sparkling lemon of classic colognes; here, the citrus is juicy, with a spiced hint of anise and ginger that gives it an intriguing, seductive vibe. Egnaro isn’t for beginners in niche perfumery: its trail is powerful and its longevity is incredible. A solid 10.

Santi Burgas has said he admires Dadaism, that movement that breaks conventions. According to him, one day his nephew chose components at random, and that’s how this scent was born: aniseed orange over sandalwood with a very light amber base. Although the idea sounds original, maybe it’s not the best way to make a perfume. It smells like it doesn’t know where it’s going, just like that nephew. It doesn’t break any molds nor is it particularly pleasant. It’s not a bad aroma, but I think to propose something, you have to follow minimal rules. Cheers.

Very peculiar and I didn’t like it. It smells like orange with that dirty part of civet, almost fecal, and the combination gives me a chocolatey orange sensation. The problem is that the orange smells weird, like those Tang powder mixes for soda or orange-flavored medicines, with that fizzy air. I’m not quite sure what occasion I’d wear it for.

The orange note is juicy and nice, but the animal part makes it heavy and hard to digest. I can’t see myself wearing it much. The projection seems to be more on the medium side.

Bought it blind and it was a very pleasant surprise. The perfume is amazing; it can surprise you and leave you speechless. It arrived very well wrapped and protected, and to my surprise, it came with two samples. The spectacular box denotes quality, and the bottle does too. Three sprays on the neck and the first hit is an orange, perhaps ripe, sweet-and-sour, elegant, with a kick that surprises but doesn’t bother. After half an hour, it changes, becoming creamy, warm, and unique. That’s when it becomes spectacular, when Egnaro appears in its full expression and stays with you for many hours. It was a huge hit. An original perfume of high quality that lasts long and projects presence and elegance. Thanks Santi for the buzz of your creations.

Forget Bourgas’ oud; this is the trickiest one to wear. Based on the notes, you’d think it’s a citrus with a dirty civet touch, but it smells weird and unreadable on the skin. It reminds me of a mineral orange soda—effervescent, yet sharp and pungent thanks to ginger and civet; it doesn’t smell animalic, just strange. I wouldn’t wear it, even if it’s interesting, and worst of all, it lasts a damn short time.

For me, setting aside Burgas’s ouds, this is the most complex to wear. Based on the notes, you’d think it was citrus with a dirty civet part, but when you smell it, it’s quite strange and hard to describe. It smells like a mineral orange soda; you can feel the fizz, but with something very loud and pungent, thanks to the ginger and civet. It doesn’t smell animalic, it smells weird. I wouldn’t wear it, although it’s interesting. That said, it lasts a long time.
