This is a green, woody, and dry scent, heavily spiced at the opening with fir resin, pine, and a prominent sandalwood that lasts from start to finish, complemented by classic vetiver and cedar that amplify that warm, dry woody impression. Imagine a blend of Santal 33 and Encre Noir but with more balanced notes and higher quality. It’s a totally autumnal/winter fragrance that shines on cold days with outstanding performance.
Here we have a green, woody, and dry sensation, very spiced at the start with fir resins, pine, and a marked sandalwood from beginning to end, plus the classic vetiver and cedar that enhance that warm, dry woody perception. Imagine a mix of Santal 33 and Encre Noir but with more balanced notes and higher quality. A totally autumnal/winter perfume that shines on cold days, with very standout performance.
I tried this new fragrance a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised. The scent is dark, green, and woody, yet soft, intimate, and unique. It opens green and herbal, then dries down to be woody; it never gets sweet. It’s very particular: it doesn’t have a huge trail (maybe 30cm at an hour), but its performance is incredible. It’s one of those perfumes that seem to fade, but with a little movement, it comes back with a delicious burst. It activates with humidity, highlighting the pine. It lasted at least 8 hours on my skin, and even after showering, it was still there, very softly. It’s super chill, not a beast to fill a room, but it has good quality. It sounded familiar to me, reminding me of Dsquared2 Green Wood and Dior Higher Energy as a midpoint with more sandalwood, though Green Wood is more strident. This Moncler is green moss + sandalwood: it smells like a light forest. Unfortunately, the price in Argentina is very high ($82,000 AR – 585 Euros). Although the LED looks great, they almost charge us half the price for that, since the 150ml refill costs $53,000 AR – 378 Euros. Crazy, haha. While it smells good and has quality, I’m not sure if I’d buy it; in that range, there might be better options. But if you have it, you deserve to enjoy it. Have a great day!
Honestly, it’s a very similar style to Santal 33, but I see it as a bridge between that and a base of Encre Noir Extreme. Simply put, it transports you to snowy forests.
A very delicious perfume, I find it soft and creamy, with a subtle pleasant pine and a finish where you still feel that creaminess along with woods. To me, it has something of Le Beau EDT; it’s a great option.
This fragrance is genuinely unique… great and elegant.
It’s curious how this fragrance gives me the sensation of picking up some Drakar Noir, Percival, and Signature by Kenneth Cole. To be more precise, a mix between Drakar and Percival. I don’t know why. It’s the first time I’ve noticed it and I liked it. Quite subtle and elegant. Highly recommended.

I own an Etiqueta Negra fragrance from an Argentine brand, number 2, which is about 80% similar to this, but Moncler feels higher quality (it would be awesome if they added this scent to the database). No doubt the bottle is a real attention-grabber; personally, I loved it, lol. I had my doubts about the scent since I’m quite picky and usually dive into niche fragrances, so I honestly expected less, but I liked it and was pleasantly surprised. While it doesn’t seem super original since I’ve encountered several scents in that style, it stands out in performance and offers more than acceptable quality. While it’s not a budget-friendly designer perfume, the price is fair for what it delivers. It’s not a beast mode, but it’s a noticeable fragrance with solid performance, and with that futuristic bottle, it’ll be a welcome addition to any collection. A great hit from Moncler.

A masculine fragrance with character, even if the performance isn’t outstanding. When a luxury brand launches a scent, it’s often a balance between an overrated flop or a solid addition. I see this from the latter perspective: while I let it develop, I wonder how much it costs. Looking at the price tags, everything becomes clear. Moncler, which makes you imagine living in luxury chalets among mountains and upscale neighborhoods, must have thought that someone who spends on luxury sweatpants should also spend on their fragrance. Although around 70 euros for 60 ml didn’t surprise me, I expected a bit more. The scent evokes pine forests, snow, moss, mint, and good-quality artisanal carpentry woods. It’s original and counter-trend. It’s not just a forest at home with the right outfit, but rather out in cold nature in front of a fireplace; it can definitely make an interesting impact. The opening on my skin is fresh, green, and slightly acidic. This pleasant note gives way to woody nuances, accompanied by vetiver that grow and are noticeable until the end. I don’t think it’ll be too popular or please everyone; it’s too special for that, which is good. It sits between fresh, herbaceous, and woody, with its own personality. Recommended for anyone wanting to smell different from current standards.

If you’ve smelled Il était un bois de L’artisan Parfumeur, you’ll find this very similar. The difference is that L’artisan dries down more naturally, soft, and talcum-like, whereas Moncler is woodier with a synthetic touch that initially gave me pause, BUT it still smells great. It can easily be a daily fragrance. Try it in cool or cold weather; I can’t see myself wearing it in the heat, whereas the L’artisan could work on a hot day. Both remind me of freshly cut hay at the end of spring. I don’t get the comparison to Santal 33 or Bravo Monsieur; they’re totally different. Is there any similarity? Yes, but it’s very subjective.
