Hi there. This perfume is Moncler’s wood star, and as expected, the wood notes rule the entire scent after a brief citrus and floral accent at the start. For the rest of the time, it smells like wet trunk and more wood (not dry like teak), with a light touch of tonka bean and patchouli. I’d highlight that projection is moderate for the first hour but then fades to soft, staying within your personal bubble. It’s one of Moncler’s fragrances with the least sillage. According to the official website: ‘Les Roches Noires is a woody and amber fragrance highlighting the quintessence of Indonesian patchouli…’, so I’m surprised Fragantica didn’t reflect those basic notes. I recommend trying it on skin before purchasing.
