I’m usually not a fan of patchoulis, so I was disappointed, though I tolerate this one better than others. It feels like a blend of niche and designer accords. Right out of the bottle, it reminds me of certain feminine fragrances I can’t quite place. It features patchouli and amber from the start (an unusual amber), highlighting fresh jasmine and geranium. Later, the tempered patchouli mixed with the sweet amber makes it more tolerable since it’s not as raw as others. It doesn’t feel very natural, and at 3 euros/ml, claiming creative freedom and anti-marketing ultimately just turns out to be marketing itself.
Mon Patchouly is a solid fragrance from Monegal that delivers on its patchouli note: dense, majestic, with that earthy, wet touch I love. It’s accompanied by a shy floral and a potent amber that sweetens it to excess, veering into balsamic-gourmand territory and making it quite loud. The drydown is very long-lasting but monotonous, with an amazing trail. I think this patchouli-gourmand is aimed at Monegal’s commercial side, following current trends, which makes it a bit boring with regular use. The composition isn’t bad and the quality is good. Rating: 7
I agree with the reviewer above: if you don’t like patchouli, this is very wearable and versatile, perfect for spring or autumn, day or night. It has two phases: the first two hours are a modern aquatic-floral patchouli, and then, until six hours later, it turns into an 80s men’s cologne with very little projection beyond a meter. The ingredient quality is poor, the composition is simple and adds nothing, so I don’t recommend it, especially given the price.
I agree with the comment above: for those who don’t like it, it’s a very wearable and versatile patchouli, perfect for spring or autumn, day or night. It has two stages: two hours of watery, modern floral patchouli, and then until around six hours (it lasted with one-meter projection for an hour) it turns into an 80s cheap cologne. The ingredient quality is poor, the composition is simple, and it adds nothing. I don’t recommend it, not even for the price.
I was lucky to try it in a Discovery set sent with my Flamenco order, one of my favorites. Thanks to that, I gave it a shot because, generally, I’m not a fan of patchouli and probably never would have tried it. It smells like patchouli, but different from others: woody, sweet, dark, and medicinal, yet less ‘chocolatey’ and lighter, with a fresh sweetness that makes it addictive. It’s my favorite patchouli so far. I recommend it to those who love it for its unique twist and to those who don’t. Scent: 9 Longevity: 9 Sillage: 8 Versatility: 8 Uniqueness: 10 Overall: 9

Mon Patchouly is to patchouli what Oud Wood is to oud: a very wearable and enjoyable version, even if you don’t usually like patchouli. It’s one of my favorite notes; it feels very natural. What makes it versatile is that perfect blend of floral and amber with a sweet touch (the RM signature).

I’m a woman and tested it on a day I was eager to go out, knowing it’s more of a man’s scent, but on my skin it felt super feminine and I loved it. I enjoy patchouli; to me, it’s charming. It lasted hours and smelled better with time. The trail started out more masculine but later became my own signature 🎉

What a delight, a patchouli that hugs you and lingers all day. At first, it smells like balm, then it becomes super cozy—perfect for a date without being too much.
