Luminata by Avon

To me, it smells like peonies with talc. It’s a feminine, discreet scent with a sweet touch. It lasts quite well and is worth the price. Perfect for anyone looking for something light with that powdery vibe.

Simply sweet little fruits, similar to Ralph but already outdated. I don’t like it; there are a million copies out there. They’re like the candies on the bank counter while you wait in line. None more so.

I fell in love with this perfume and can’t find it in the catalog anymore; I hope you can recommend something similar. I felt it was super fresh and feminine.

I went along with the good reviews and expected something fantastic, but it was nothing like that. It smells like a department store perfume for an 8 or 10-year-old girl. It’s not that it doesn’t smell good, but don’t buy blindly: it smells different on every skin. I sprayed it on clothes and didn’t like it either; it’s too artificial. I have one at RE/MIL that’s super cheap and smells exactly like Luminata; I was disappointed by the bottle and the chain that give an elegant image, but it’s really just for girls’ birthdays. It was a total disappointment, just like Treselle. Scent 5/10, Sillage 4/10, Longevity 2/10.

From Avon and one of my favorites: a blend of soft wood with fruity floral. On my skin, it smells delicate, clean, and refined. Every time I wear it, men and women ask and even write down the name; everyone loves it. The only downside is that it doesn’t last: in mild weather, max 6 hours, and in heat, not even 4. Previously, perfumes from this brand were my weakness; I loved them, but I noticed almost all had the same dry-down. This wasn’t an exception, but after several years and with a more trained nose, I tried it again and it’s a good simple, fresh fruity floral fragrance. It has low projection but is very pleasant: at first, you feel the sweetness of pear and camellia, then a fleeting but potent raspberry, and finally a very light semi-vanilla woody touch right on the skin. In my opinion, it’s highly overrated by the brand.

August 202018: a lovely floral perfume where peony takes the lead, with fruity touches of pear and a bit of raspberry. Clean, slightly powdery, and with that typical metallic rose note, very little sweetness. The base is very soft wood. I loved the opening and heart, but the dry down smells like ‘shampoo’—like Dior’s J’Adore, which I don’t like; it’s sharp up close. The materials and composition are high quality. The fact that Maurice Roucel created it is a guarantee. It lasts over 12 hours on my skin, and the trail is moderate but noticeable. If you like scents like J’Adore, Ralph Lauren Romance, Carolina Herrera 212, Avon Pure Blanca, Estée Lauder Pleasures, Arden 5th Avenue, or clean fruity florals, give it a try. It’s not my style, but it’s very well made. Greetings.

To me, it sounds like Tommy Girl (the red and blue versions) but more intense. It’s super long-lasting and has a considerable trail, because I’ve smelled it on several women, though it does project at a distance. Among the Avon perfumes I sell, it doesn’t resemble any I’ve known so far, and I have quite a few.

Upon spraying, it smells of fruity citrus, followed by a very clean floral. It’s fresh with long-lasting bath-like longevity. On my skin, it lasts about 7 to 8 hours. It’s a sweet floral, nothing gourmand. The sillage is moderate. I’m considering it for work and will see how it behaves on hot or cold days.
